That shot of Superman's cape being blown by the wind; not always. The FX guys in England invented a neat little machine that waggled fishing rods under Reeve's cape, from a low-profile device across his shoulders. - and sometimes, Superman was a little rubber puppet about a foot long, who could only move his arms together and apart in front of him. With a modern cheap drone camera, anyone can get the background 'flying' footage now, it's the stable placing of a human figure in the scene convincingly.
