Lynels aren’t like most monsters, they’re not brainless.
They’re both brains and brawn.
Two of the most disappointing things in TOTK is that darknuts weren’t brought back and lynel an are still loners. Actually made them easier to deal than in BOTW
@@MaseTheAce Hyrule conquest has the coolest version of darknuts in any Zelda game. Prove me wrong. And yes, I know it's a fangame.

Exactly. I actually think that among the monsters, the Lynels are like the big brothers that *ACTUALLY* have some sort of brain. In fact, they might even be smarter than some animals! (Like deer, for example)

This Link is canonically an omniglutton. While Age of Calamity isn't canon, I think it's reasonable to think Daruk did canonically gift him a Rock Roast that he proceeded to chow down on.

Considering the Monsters don't cooperate with the Yiga anyways, I think they all consider them as useless whimps, I would bet that not even Ganondorf knows who they are.

For real, the are the most inteligent monsters out there. They will not attack unless you draw a weapon or act suspicious (activating runes, standing for too long, coming too close) can use multiple weapons, will jump back if they notice you can fight them off in melee... smart monsters

It says right there in the Hyrule Compendium that they're highly intelligent. And yeah, the fact that they can use spears, swords, maces, and shooting multiple arrows from a bow with shocking skill. it certainly shows their strength and smarts. Not to mention, unlike every other monster mask, Lynels will recognize you after a while. So clearly they're leagues more intelligent than the bokoblins, moblins, lizalfos, and horriblins, and even Majora's Mask doesn't fool them for long. "Clever girl..."

Thats an unusually smart Yiga guy if he recognized Link simply because he had the Master Sword. I have carried that sword with me through the entire Yiga base before in TOTK before while wearing a full Yiga disguise & they never figure it out.

One day, I hope for a Zelda game where all the races can be either good or evil, and the same for the creatures. Hey, Zora were always evil in the first game... ...my crazy desire is for Demise (from Skyward Sword) to be separated from Ganon/Ganondorf. Imagine a Zelda game where you selected between that game's Link, Zelda, and Ganon *but* one of the remaining two would secretly be possessed by Demise and the true baddy.
