I love how Link disagreed to Zelda saying she gave permission to resign as her personal knight and decided to stay that way.
After reading through the journal entries, it becomes clear how much she means to him as Link means to Zelda since her love for her knight is the key to awakening her powers.

Remember, the reason Link doesn’t talk much but only speaks to Zelda in private is because of the societal pressure Hyrule placed upon him. And with so much going on, he felt it is necessary to be strong and to silence any burden.
I love the VA of zelda here. She really does a good inflection of emotions.
I think the funniest way to stay accurate to the games in comic dubs is just to not dub link whenever he talks. Instead just play the talk option sound effect from BOTW/TOTK lol

@@a.jthomas6132 Can't spell friendship without SHIP in it. But seriously, you can have platonic pairs as a ship, there's nothing in the rules that says it MUST be romantic or sexual. Sometimes you just like seeing two characters interact a lot. They're not _just_ bros, no need to say "just" to friendship dynamics, it's still something to get hyped about.

I kinda wish we could get to hear Link talk sometimes in the games. I know ow that’s his whole thing but with how much personality he has been given over the years, I am curious what it would be like if he did talk…and realize how that could fail very easily due to precedent (the Zelda 90s cartoon version’s attitude, the Phillips CDI games) and fandom expectations.
He does sometimes talk but not always when comparing Link with Samurai Jack.

In fairness, Zelda didn't specify using a knife, just something smaller than a cobble crusher. Master Sword would be very effective at cutting the fish. Therefore, it makes sense that Link would go to use the Master Sword next.

Same here. Even if he does talk to Zelda in private. But if you look at the journal entries, the Japanese version shows more of his own character where each have shown his thoughts, feelings, and his dilemma of whether he is worthy of being the hero of legend.

Ever wonder why its still "Princess Zelda" in "Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom" is still Princess, even though her father is dead, and from my memory, there is no mention of a Queen? (I may be wrong, and there could be a mention of a Queen, but, eh.)

I can't imagine anyone in Hyrule has been considering holding a crowning ceremony or is invested in re-establishing a proper monarchy system just yet. They only just got a unifying leader person back, and only just started to try to rebuild Hyrule properly only for another disaster to come along and open up pits that emanate despair miasma. It'll be a minute before she gets officially recognized as the sovereign Queen.
