The people moving in are just trying to find a good deal on housing and you can’t really blame them for that

  • So good. Also, yes, tired of seeing a daily play by play in the media about Taylor Swift. Nothing against her at all...she's talented and like dude said, I have to think to name one of her songs...but some media people like to talk about her every day and that just amplifies the little feedback loop on her popularity that makes them go "OMG, people are really talking about Taylor Swift" in the same way that Trump or Fox News says "people are really talking about...(this thing I just talked to you about)". It doesn't mean we are all interested in hearing about her every day.

    • Taylor swift is half as talented as many people that I’ve toured with. She’s white… so, that didn’t help me. Her parents are well off.. that a huge part of it. They pushed her to exploit herself early on and supported it. She’s a woman, and woman support women just because of their sex/gender. The news is full of bad news because our politics and society is a house of cards. It’s all an illusion and the news sells anything that makes people feel hopeful or distracted from the realities of life. Suckers care about Taylor swift. Reality is that she doesn’t care about them… she’s very fortunate and should be tripped and very grateful. Her Swifty’s are young and ignorant consumers… that’s probably why the news and other corporations use her or whatever else is “trending” in order to pander to these people and also to stay relevant… which is just one tiny little perspective… the illusion is f the entertainment industry.

  • A lot of people in the audience were not ready to hear that. He's not saying crazy shit but people at a comedy show and laughing at jokes and enjoying themselves so its easy to forget we live in a world where a demographic of people had such a visceral reaction to a fictional mythical character was played bt a black woman. It's like did the Larry bird punchline even sink in?!
