  • I'm seeing a pattern. Before doing any restoration, it now seems protocol to rub mud on all services before beginning.

    • Yeah, all of those "rusted" parts as well...just a quick sandblast and all of it magically dissapears....not a single pitting or rust through.... and all bolts looks like they are 200 years old and ingrown...untill you take em out, then you see that they are practically brand new... Might be a old bike in need of restoration, but this one shows clear signs of being faked even dirtier and rustier than it originally was for show

      @prnkstr@prnkstr2 жыл бұрын
    • Maybe because these guys doing the restoration specifically pick ones they know aren’t gonna be all pitted out and ruined, they aren’t gonna go pick a janky ass bike that has 0 chance the original parts all being intact and go with that😂

  • use "frog tape" for effective masking, it has paint stop technology so you won't get the messy bleed through effect. it is a few dollars more, but it's the only one that works. Alternatively, if you do thinner coats but more of them, almost just dusting the whole work each time until a solid coat is achieved, u will not get the hated bleed ruining ur crisp peel. love the channel

    • @@anitamiller7960 Hate to tell you, but it's basically a fact that half of the videos like this aren't truthful. They get a huge audience and the people who make videos like this make a ton off of just buying something cheap or getting it for free, slapping some dirt and rusting solution on it, and then restoring it for cheap. The amount videos like this make is insane, especially if they're published consistently.
