Khabib and his father had a unique bond and relationship. The late Abdulmanap, a legendary MMA coach, had mentored his son throughout his career - from near and far.
Before his passing he wished for his son to retire undefeated, with 30 wins. The Eagle moves closer to achieving this goal at #UFC254 against Justin Gaethje...

  • As sad as it is to see Khabib retire before the 30-0 that his father wanted, its also beautiful and poetic in a way. When u hear 29-0 u automatically think "why not 30-0 ?", that imperfect number 29 is a tribute in and of itself. The 30 is what his father wanted to see, and since he wont get to see it, Khabib wont do it. That 1 missing represents a son missing and honouring his father.

It might remind khabib about the last time he fought against dustin where his father is the one who wipe his face at rest between rounds🥺 and his father was at cageside.
