    • Watching the previous backflip videos he seems to stiffen up when doing the flip whereas juji and Tom do a smooth fluid movement. And also seemed like Magnus's center momentum moved down and back as opposed to straight upward

    • I think it's both mentally once he didn't succeed at it, and noticed how it's pretty much opposite of rock climbing. Once you take away his eyes for his landing point in an EXTREMELY fast movement and lift, its easy to get lost, then try over thinking the issue. From slower thought out and sighted compared to fast small yet large movements with legs/core for lift, like teaching a rock climber to do a kick flip. It's odd. Mentally it gets to you, and one day boom. I literally had to dream of what it felt like before I could land it. Only way that was possible was to fail.

  • So this has been on my mind for a while, I couldn't explain to my friends why I love this channel until this video dropped and i had a lightbulb moment. It's 3 things 1) Nothing in these vlogs are extravagant, luxurious or smug. These guys are good human beings doing what we'd probably do too and but don't go full vlog style and do it with VIP treatment. It's sortve comforting to watch and wholesome too. The home gym they built over the years took time and gradual investment. It's not just full of freebies and endorsements - so it inspires the viewers to consider it themselves 2) Easily some of the most humble group of people all in a channel. Technically speaking all the guests and themselves are pretty much the best at what they do. So what do they do in this channel? They do stuff that's nothing to do with what's got them big. Devon deadlifting, Magnus learning to flip, juji arm wrestling, Anton climbing it goes on and on. It's showing us a side of the pros doing something different that I remember a few years ago would be so rare. 3) I'm invested in their journeys. These videos aren't necessarily standalone episodes they follow on from other occasions or events. You're also routing for them in all endeavours, other KZheadrs use clickbait or even something confrontational to get you riled up about them. These guy, are friendly, sincere towards each other and genuine - of course I'm routing for them. Thanks for the great content guys. Merry Christmas.

  • I think you all are overcomplicating it and Magnus is getting very nervous and upset about that. I don't think it really matter why he fails, It is important to focus on improvements instead of excuses. Don't tell him why he is bad and why he will struggle. Tell him why he is able to do this! You already noticed it, mentality is everything and every word matter there. It is not hard to see Magnus'es arms crossed, leaned back, staying silence. He was not having too much fun, but tried to stay cool. I might be overprotecting, but I recon you all didn't want to make him feel bad and that's why I point this out. Be aware of this

    • Very good comment. I also think 'don't overtalk it, just go, practice and most importantly, have fun with it'. If I personally spend too much time thinking about why I failed at this or that, I get demotivated instead of using that time focusing on my vision and work towards it.

  • The more the topic about 'why' and 'sucking' is being discussed, the more it twirls up to a kind of negative energy around it and the fun of doing it fades away. The end result seems to stand in the center instead of the joy of the learning process. In everything I do at least, the journey is the goal, not the goal itself. The last one just marks a mental mile stone that comes automatically when I let go of achieving it. Personally, I like to fail because from there I can rise. A great thing about sharing this human experience is seeing each other grow. The key is not that we do it but how we do it: with aggression for example or with humor and patience on the other hand. Just forget the result. Have fun. That's what I am telling myself when I start to get frustrated. Much love to y'all and a beautiful new year

  • He sucks at backflips because the entire top half of his body is filled with dense beefy muscle and his entire bottom half is hollow straw to reduce weight while climbing.

  • People are underestimating how much his climbing has created huge psychological barriers that protect him from moving in just the way he needs for the backflip. Also, theyre way too cerebral. He just needs to rep out what he is comfortable with without being too concerned with the end goal, for a while.

  • I just wanna say Anton spinning in the background while they talk was funny, especially at the end when Anton flopped on his face and stopped moving. Magnus is a perfectionist and gets more irritated every time he fails at something. Magnus, you're awesome, relax and have fun with it, it will come.
