After decades of domination, great American legacy brands like Bud Light, Ben and Jerry’s and Target have taken a financial and reputational hit because they decided to hop on the woke bandwagon.
Sky News All Stars Rita Panahi, Megyn Kelly and Piers Morgan chronicle the meteoric fall of these brands and ask if they will ever recover and win back their loyal customer base.

I'm an American married to an Aussie, and we live in the US. The Bud Light thing was really humorous to me. When light beers came out on the American market, they were perceived by the public as a "girl's beer." I remember middle aged men grumbling things like, "I'm not watching my figure! Give me a MAN'S BEER!" In response, Budweiser worked very hard to change the image with an aggressive advertising campaign full of sexy women in bikinis, young men partying, swimming pools, and even a party dog! It worked. Bud Light was the number one beer of choice for men between the ages of 21 and 50. Why on earth they decided to stray from the demographic they worked so hard to win is mind boggling.

These certain companies are never going to get back some of their customers, when some people have decided to never buy product from this certain company anymore. Thats why its better to not piss off the customers, than piss off the investors. When you already ahve succesful company. You dont need much investors anymore to give you money, when you got own money. You just should not make the mistake of pissing off your customers, so they will never buy again your products.

I think most people are accepting of people that choose a different lifestyle for whatever reason but we’re done having it shoved down our throats by a small minority and the companies they’ve threatened to cancel if they don’t get their way.

I remember when my aunt told me she had a new coworker who was a woman who identified herself as a non-binary whatever and had been hired with the mediation of a public organization that facilitated jobs to people with deficiencies. My aunt was quite enthusiastic about that, and told me how the whole staff had to learn about the pronoun that person had invented for herself, like it was a good thing, plus they had to adapt to some other weird shenanigans just so they didn't hurt her feelings. (Note that my language has gendered words, unlike English. So a "pronoun" encompasses our whole talk) I told my aunt straight away that it sounded absolutely stupid. My aut then lightly scolded me, telling me I should have a bit more empathy. The following conversation went something like: -I see. So... does (weird pronoun) have any kind of depression or psychological trauma? -No, it doesn't seem so. -What does she mean by non-binary? -That she identifies herself as neither a man or woman. -But... isn't she clearly a woman? -She looks like it. Yeah. -Then... Does she have any deficiencies or disabilities? -No. She moves and works just fine. -Does she have any speech impediment? Anything that limits her capacities? -No. She's actually quite the chatterbox. -Any learning difficulties? Low intelligence? Nothing? -Not really. -In that case, if she has no traumas, no depression, no disabilities and nothing that really requires a preferencial treatment, why are you all suddenly using words you've never used and butchering the dictionary talking like idiots only to please a person you've just met whose only particularity is that of being delusional with herself? That silenced my aunt for a long while. And, at the end, she didn't know what to say.

Money, as in what the "average" person buys is a front line statement of what the REAL people want. Walmart had a line of LBGTQ goods, but they simply put them up and did not make a big deal about them. I saw them on sale and said "Cool, if I was in that lifestyle, I would know where to go to quietly buy what I want" I am not, but it was there if I did want it. no big notice about it, it was just on the shelf, just like it was any other clothing item

Same here. A store I went to each week laid off all their good staff who refused the jibby. The place is dead as now and the owner who was in charge can be seen working there. I never shop there anymore but I enjoy walking in and reminding him he made a big mistake sacking loyal staff who had a brain to think for themselves. The dumb phuc bolts out the back when he sees me. I hope to see the store boarded closed one day. yes I am vindictive but my own daughters stood down and sacked by their respective employers so such tyrannical behaviour must be punished.
My girlfriend was talking all that stolen land stuff, so I reminded her oh how much her property is worth and that she should turn it over to some indigenous folks.

Do you know how scummy it is to say that a specific group should be proud of themselves just because they made an easy choice in life? And same for black history month. Everybody is amazing, not just one group. I’m also tired of history being blatantly passed. Black people aren’t the only foundation of the American country, or any country for that matter. Citizens of every race have played a huge part in the U.S, and other nations. White northerners, expeditioners, immigrants, etc. have been incredibly important in the growth of our country. Further examples are also the Chinese. They were huge during our industrial periods in the U.S. Why do they not get appreciation?

@@FarChu215 Well the difference is that God and the Bible promote positive life lessons and morals. I do think certain parts of the Bible aren’t fit for the classroom just because of how explicit they are, but the overall lessons are universal, and should be taught anywhere.

Drinking different beer and canceling Disney + was easy. The hard part is finding black rifle coffee in stock at my local gas stations. The shelves are almost always empty sitting right next to all the starbucks. Ive had to stock them in my fridge when I can find them. Also I do miss going to target sometimes but other stores will do.

The main thing is that this isn't simply a "boycott". A boycott suggests it is just a temporary movement. This is much greater than that. It is American consumers simply refusing to continue to purchase any product or service that they see as damaging to their families. their communities and their culture. IMO-if any company truly wishes to be forgiven it will have to actively follow the tenants of contrition. First they have to admit what they did was wrong, what they did had a negative impact on their consumers and that it was entirely their fault. Second, they have to ask for forgiveness. Third, they have to do their best to undo any damage they caused. You see, no matter what you may be told, America is still very much a Christian country. That is good because Christians are fully willing to forgive, however, to be forgiven you have to take these steps.
