He spent a good 30 mins talking to people individually and then a guy at the venue said we couldn’t be there as it’s a fire escape area. Rather than just ending it there he took everyone into another room and continued talking to us all. Great fella

I definitely don't think he's the funniest comedian or anything, but his energy while performing is so contagious. The best stand-up comics really know how to work with the crowd and play into the mood of the room. His buddy Martín was there and did his own set, and Iglesias went an hour over, I got more than twice what I expected!

  • Theo Von just seems like a really decent person. When you watch his podcast he actually LISTENS to his guests. Unlike every other LA comedian's podcast, which is basically "Come on my show as a guest and listen to me talk about myself for two hours..." Any time you hear Theo say "I knew this one dude growin' up..." you know you're in for a hilarious story.

    • That’s why I felt Schaub was a POS scumbag to Theo when Theo left their podcast. After Theo left King and the Sting, Schaub addressed the departure and made a comment saying “he’s got some things to figure out. He is an addict” insinuating that Theo leaving was due to negative circumstances and NOT due to Theo getting more opportunities. It was Schaub’s underhanded, sneaky way of throwing shade at Theo while also claiming to “love” the guy.

  • Aside from his joke theft, Dane Cook’s primary source of hatred stems from how quickly he became popular. Many comedians have stated out of jealousy or hatred that Dane Cook wasn’t that funny, and he only got famous because he was heavily advertised. Many comedians took years to become famous, whereas Dan Cook starred in two movies (“Employee of the Month” and “Good Luck Chuck”) not long after becoming famous. In other words, many people considered him to be an industry plant rather than an actual comedian. I can see why these comedians feel this way, but I think Dane Cook gets too much hatred.
