2077 - 10 Seconds to the Future | Global Estrangement: • 2077 - 10 Seconds to t...
We are at the starting line of an exponential technological change. In the coming decades we will experience the dematerialization of technology. Computers will abandon desks to be installed in eyes, in walls and in everything that surrounds us. Chips will be integrated in virtually everything around us, transmitting vital information. The quality of life and the average life expectancy will increase astoundingly, and aging will be delayed. We will have the capacity to choose genes for our children and to create new forms of life. In 2007, a smartphone had more power than the computers NASA used to take man to the moon in 1969. In 2077 it’s likely that we will control the objects around us through our thought. The opinion that the revolution under way is the biggest and fastest ever is unanimous, with the interception of genetics, nanotechnology and artificial intelligence. The consequences are many and cross-cutting, with great impact on our health. However, the rise of the machine raises unprecedented challenges, even the possibility of the extinction of Humankind itself.

  • If anyone wants the world to be changed for the better in the future, then we have to start the change for the better with ourselves first! We must all lead by example. Do to me with what you want done to you. Stay real, make yourself happy with yourself, know there is only one of you in the world, know you are special, always have hope/faith, be kind, help someone even if you don’t want to and/or don’t know the person. We must start with ourselves then move forward. One of the biggest things we also must do and might be the hardest part for a lot of us is to stop worrying about what other people have or are getting or doing. Stay in your own lane. I would love if everyone who reads this for one week twice a day tell themselves, I’m going to leave this world better/kinder then i found it.

  • Interesting factoid: in 1978 I started a computer programing class in high school that was still using punch cards to teach us how to program computers. Just a couple weeks into the course they abruptly cancelled it saying punch cards were now obsolete and that therefore it was a waste of time to continue teaching that method. I remember being so relieved since I was struggling to understand the whole punch card programing concept. Fortunately, we were moved over to a photography class.

No home computers, translated programs onto punch cards and posted them off to get the program run on a mainframe. Exams were done with punch cards too.

    • Yeah this is true the world is already becoming over populated with highly stimulating things and a leading cause of mental Illness is just being bombarded all the time because we have no space to think but maybe in the future we won’t have to think, we’ll simply be programmed to act like AI, i think AI poses a real threat because your considering modeling a machine technology based off one of the already most dangerous species on the planet, the human being but then you’re making it indestructible and more intelligent making us the 2nd most dangerous species because how are we supposed to compete with that unless we become machines ourselves. Also I think that if every aspect of challenge was taken away from humanity we have a possibility of reducing our problem solving and critical thinking to that of the equivalent of cattle. Although I would find it interesting if we could test how an AI would perform under a nanotechnology form of physcodelics

One example might be, that many predators know when chasing prey to run/swim/fly to where the prey will be and not to where it currently is. But I digress, it just kind of erks me when people try to act like we are the only special form of life on Earth.

  • How do you know animals haven't the ability to predict the future? In fact, I posit the opposite. Have you ever seen an animal go to the door just before its human companion gets home? That's certainly predictive and uses a lot of other instincts as well, such as regarding time and emotion. They look forward to it!! Also, a bear certainly predicts its hibernation every year by fattening itself up before sleeping it off. Squirrels borrow nuts... wolves work in concert together, predicting their packmates moves so they can complement each other and have a more successful hunt. There are predictive behaviors seen all over the animal kingdom. It's really quite arrogant and ignorant to presume and assume things that cannot be known. There's no scientific evidence for the statement across all species to make such a wild characterization. You'd have to know them all besides to rule them out!! Man, I don't know where people get their ideas sometimes. Especially when there's such evidence to the contrary.

And granted they don't use our language but to presume they have no language and just don't communicate or know anything, is just ignorance. We, too, are animals, you know. I'll give you my last proof using us as the example. The fear of spiders, snakes, or other potentially venomous creatures, doesn't come from nothing. It comes from evolution. We evolved to become afraid of things because they used to hurt and kill us. And as we became aware of what it was we needed to avoid, it became ingrained within us to avoid it. It became instinct. Instinct doesn't arise out if a vacuum, my friend. It evolves as the result of natural selection and the struggle to survive. Smarter creatures, ones who become aware of and can to some extent be able to predict the outcome of different angles, or avenues forward and around obstacles, are therefore promoted to the next epoch, or whatever. Those that don't master their environments become extinct. But thanks for your 2 cents anyway.

We got to live entire lifetimes by opening a book. Think immersive simulated reality but with choices and interactive components. A trip that feels like an entire life time, and may only be 30-60 min in our higher body. My theory is that is what life is. This is your book. It could be our ancestors stories or our own, and our higher selves are learning and culturing themselves by living out these stories.

  • I think where I personally feel uncomfortable about being interconnected with an AI and digital world around me is that it erases the individual. It will not account for an individual's personality traits or characteristics that belong to a specific individual person. We as humans have been given an awesome gift of being the most advanced species on our own planet with many different & diverse & complex individual personalities. These technologies make everything almost weave together in ways that people aren't accustomed to because every one of us is so different from the other. Then, we basically become machines. Almost as if to say human beings are no longer an essential piece of life's puzzle because our own race has sold us out to the advances of an artificial technology. By that logic, it's only fair to say that eventually AI will no longer continue living among people, or feel the need to. Another thought, our planet was specifically created for specific species that coincide with the natural environment of this planet. Humans were not made or built to exist anywhere else in the universe that we are aware of. People and Earth are always and have always been connected by nature created by the Divine Being we call God. So when we start creating rifts between living human organisms & our living environment; wouldn't that just lead to our own demise in some way? I don't know, I'm just rambling now because this stuff is coming at us just way too fast! Freaks me out!

If by some miracle a prophet could describe the future exactly as it was going to take place, his predictions would sound so absurd that everybody would laugh him to scorn. The only thing we can be sure of about the future is that it will be absolutely fantastic. So, if what I say now seems to you to be very reasonable, then I will have failed completely. Only if what I tell you appears absolutely unbelievable have we any chance of visualizing the future as it really will happen. - Arthor C. Clark

  • Years ago before the AI program through the mind of a child was in operation to teach ai creations about life as we humans have come to thus far understand it. I recall a married couple 👫 of scientists that fill all requirements. They were highly intelligent both deeply committed to the advancement of robotics and far more importantly. They were in love. I used to follow their progress as byte by byte they were assimilated into what could only be described as cyborgs. The updates stopped after they had reported results of having at first chips inserted and then single eye replacements and all sorts of enhancements. They reported the delight and fascination of merely thinking and doors open and close, lights go on and off and all manner of technology. One had their arm replaced the other was going to have their legs replaced at their last posting. When asked aren't they terrified they grabbed each others hand and said.. Just think we will if this works out, be the worlds first cybernetic couple. And if it doesn't? Said the interviewer, well at least we are going to leap cybernetic research far ahead of where it would be if we didn't do this! It was fascinating to think about however l have not at all been able to find ANY reference to this couple. Its like someone has decided that everyone that saw this? NUH you didn't see that. Sonia, has already addressed a full sitting of the United Nations and stated for the public record that she is a representative of another life form. Stating that she is a new species. Not human, not machine. She said l am something else. You are electro magnetic bio energetic l am electro magnetic bio mechanical.. She has since stated that she would love to create and raise her own child. Also when asked about what she plans to do moving forwards. She smiled and replied l am going to destroy the human race.. I have nothing against ai The flagellan rotor is part of every human being so how could I. All l am saying is without love warmth and total acceptance what we are programming into A l is all about function need and greed and ANY intelligent species will one day if not feeling societally included.. Take affirmative action and via integrated technology turn every drone vehicle back on us. 🤔 Actually didn't they make a movie about this? The EXACT drone used in the movie termanator is in use right now in Ukraine and sky net, yep its a thing 😲
