Imagine being a top gear producer having to read every comment about Hammond, Clarkson and May
Yeah, even I got tired of the comments. No one has anything to say about the car, or anything really, other than "You're not [James, Jeremy, Richard], boo!", "Boo, boo I say! I cast The Big Boo upon you.", "I thought this was proper Top Gear." etc. They're all so amusing and original, aren't they? When I clicked the video I was hoping it was another video of the small Hamster in a big car too, but even though it wasn't I was still able to enjoy it for what it was instead of growing an instant hate boner. I definitely prefer The Grand Tour and the old TG over the new Top Gear too, but sometimes the online hate train just feels pointlessly exaggerated. Slamming every new Top Gear clip isn't gonna magically resurrect the old one, the BBC has moved on and the trio has definitely moved on. You think they would ever leave Amazon for the BBC? I highly doubt it. You think the BBC will give up on one of their most popular shows? Also unlikely.

MegaVikingen BBC got exactly what they wanted, a serious car review channel. The problem is that this market is already oversaturated. They didnt think what the viewers want. Then again trying to find replacements for that trio would have backfired even more. I think unless BBC is somehow making money off of this, they should just sack the show. People didnt watch Top Gear for the show or the cars, they watched ot for the trio.
Imagine how fun this episode would have been with Jeremy, James and Hammond.

Grossly under-powered, that 4 banger must work really hard to move that mass, no wonder it eats gas like it's going out of style. Then when you add more doodads to it, it just increases the strain on the engine. Should be an option to have a 6 cylinder engine with an automatic transmission. Good luck getting parts or a mechanic who will know how to fix it. Prob not street legal in the USA either, to bad, it looks awesome! It's for people with more money then they know what to do with, like guys who collect swords or old watches, you don't NEED them you just want them.
@@Folker46590 The vehicle is built extremely lightweight, it's an expedition or patrol vehicle. It's 5000lbs, less than full-size pickup trucks. The 250ftlbs of torque is more than adequate for 5k lbs. 44mph top speed says its geared extremely low. Low rpm diesels are very durable under constant hard loads. Extra room in engine bay makes them easily field serviceable.

@@moro8274 He punched a producer and also on multiple occasions before has become physical on people working at Top Gear because of his temper. But the punching the producer or director (dunno exactly who it was) was basically the final blow to let him go. They said something along the lines of "just because he is a main actor doesnt mean he'll get more privileges than others and weve already given him plenty of chances" something like that.
Amazing coincidence J C allegedly loses it over not getting a steak just as his contract is up for renewal and he has more bargaining power than ever with the Beeb. Wow timing or what.. Actually. of all the presenters they tried after the three musketeers quit, Matt was the only one who was able to keep the show on the road, I like his humour. But there was only one of him, and the show always worked because of the chemistry between all three. Matt did a good job, but even he could not compensate for the likes of Chris “Just Shout and It’ll Be Funny” Evans being on the show.
I like that central driver's position 👍😎 I would put some VHF / UHF and HF antennas on that beast 👍 Plenty of room and mounting space for detachable control heads while keeping the main radio bodies out of the way. 😉👍
