Like quicy in the 400m lol
20.69 is much more "ridiculous"
@@thundergun933 45.75 thoo
@dragonmjm3101 the 200 is his best event right now 45.7 might not be the fastest Jr time it's not most years. His 20.8 as a 15 year old might be an all time for 15 year Olds and his 20.6 at 16 only 3 one being Bolt.
@dragonmjm3101 the 4 probably be his event when he goes pro.
Gout Gout "name so nice you have to say it twice" lol

The way his legs just bounce off the track speaks of his superhuman capabilities. That is exactly where speed comes from. Hopefully he won't be like Boonson Puripol who ran similar times at the same age but has been dealing with injuries.
When he runs he just looks *different* efficiency is the word honestly
I really hope Boonson can get healthy. He was looking like a star before he pulled that hammy.
He is still healthy, man ran a 10.06 in september last year. He should drop the 200 and focus on the 100 to reduce load @@Ghoster311
And in today's world, if he decides he's a woman tomorrow, he would be the fastest woman in the world. 🙄
It looks like he is hopping.
He needs a solid team behind him that will protect him and give him the right guidance. We don't want him to be influenced by people who will lead him astray.
If course he will get all the right guidance. He is black. People will be jumping over each other to give him the best chance at really making it in the sport. If he were white or Asian even, all of a sudden there will be barriers, temptations and handicaps galore blocking his path to success. Hirakawa Kiryu found that out the hard way. He still ran sub ten a few times though.
He already has a solid team behind him. His coach Diana Sheppard supplies him with greatness that can carry him along way. Di is a great coach.
Well look at him, that doesn’t leave anyone like him as an option then😂
@@user-ly8dq9tb8cyeah, we pander to these people when apart from a few select sports, they’re a giant burden on us.

Did Mbappe have running start ?
Lmao
That comparison still baffles me
hehe
No offense but this make no sense, compared what a football player top speed for 1 second compared to 100 m runner who run that on average is as stupid as it gets
Athing mu, Gout Gout, Peter Bol, Lopez Lomong, all find their roots in South Sudan. Superstar from the 100 meters to the 10,000 meters. I pray peace comes to South Sudan for many reasons - but I bet there are hundreds just like them whose families are either in Refugee camps or caught up in the awful cycle of tribal warfare. Pray for South Sudan.
The truth is... there people all throughout the world that never get a chance to compete as well. Money is often what opens doors to the training and facilities that help grow an athlete to a super star it seems.
It's not money, it's luck and access to opportunities. We [I am from an African country] never even get to focus on sports because we are focused mostly on academics. Everything is at stake because failing at academics is almost guaranteed to set you back for life. @@davidc2184

Now the world will start to know about Gout Gout. I first heard about this kid 2 years ago and the first time I saw him run I already knew that if the is kid guided along the right path he will have no choice but to become a sprinting great. Like no other sprinter his running mechanics are almost a carbon copy of a teenage Usain Bolt!
what is his height

Well said. I’m glad a voice is out there pushing for programmed athletic potential instead of falling into impatient media hype. Best of luck gout gout , I hope you continue to improve and most importantly enjoy yourself on the track.
Looked like he was still building momentum through the tape. Crazy!
Nah Gout Gout is going to be a monster in a couple years ! His name is already Epic as it is🤞🏾😂
he goes to my school, Ipswich Grammar School, im friends with him hes actually so chill
I feel sorry for Gout Gout's 2 feet. Not just singular gout

Would love to see him in the 200

The people in gout gout’s 10.29 race have the most Australian names ever
AUS 10 lane tracks always look cool when everyone lines up! An exciting talent for sure who looks a more natural 200m sprinter for now but will surely improve in both short sprints like Bolt!
This athlete has MORE potential than Lyles, Tebogo or Knighton. I don't need more than this performance and the anatomy he's build to make such a ridicolus claim. But i truly believe we have someone very special here! I mean very very special. He literally has the perfect physique. very long but thin limbs, narrow hips, wide shoulders.
I agree with the anatomy hes just looks built to *sprint* and has that tall lanky build with long legs I wonder what his height is I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s 6”3ish
Nah tebogos running form is smooth 😂😂
Why are wide shoulders and narrow hips a desired trait for sprinters?
@@ericwong3868ime wide shoulders give power to your arms while narrow hips help your turnover rate
He will need to leave Australia to meet that potential. Australian coaches just can't coach sprinters.
This dude is gonna be a problem. The top end and natural endurance will only get better over the next few years. And, of course, he will improve his start with practice. When he's 20, we'll be watching him battle with Tebogo. I just hope he stays healthy so we can see what he's really capable of. Look at the efficiency of his stride! This is the next great one folks!
As an Australian I respect how much u dig into the details! You find everything!!
I definitely agree that the important thing is that Gout Gout is well guided, so that he can steer clear of the hype, stay healthy, and focus on becoming the world-class athlete he surely will become. Even if we notice: His capability of achieving record-breaking times at such a young age His stance, strength, stride and speed at 100m and 200m (which are all unnervingly reminiscent of another certain record breaking sprinter) The fact that the 2032 Olympics are due to take place in Brisbane...
He really has appeared at just the right time to peak for a home Olympics. I just hope his talent doesn't go wasted because of subpar coaching in Australia. He'll need to head overseas to reach his full potential.
I’ve seen 1 interview of him from last year (in which you can barely here him talk cause the mic barely picks up his voice), but he seems like a humble kid who just loves to run.
@@XDF745 he isn't the only one tho...there's also sebastian sultana(18)- 10.25 s cody hasler(17)-10.42 s josiah john (16)-10.42 s and frankleen newah jr (18)- 10.45 s and jonathan kasiano(15)-10.61s. moreover you've also got calab law (20) who won bronze in the 2022 u20 worlds in the 200m with a time of 20.42 and owns a pb of 10.26 in the 100.. so the coaching is nowhere near as bad as you're making it out to be, its just that we've gotten much better at recognising talent now ,coupled with the explosion of african immigration over the decades, which has certainly helped.
Those South Sudanese are amazing!
6:11 Ash Moloney ended up winning the bronze at the 2020 Olympics in the decathlon. Ash is 7 years older than Gout and they ran the same time!!
If you watch it closely, you can see he had a slow start. With an improved start, he’s capable of running somewhere in the 10.1 range this year. I’ll be watching his progression over the next couple of years.
Omg your finally doing a video on this boy I’ve been waiting for it
It looks like his top speed was hitting around 30 mph. The way he pulled away from the rest of the field absolutely looked like Usain Bolt.
Run run go fast, keep up the great work ,you the winner, yay
Soon to be the Goat Goat.
Would love to see him show up in a Diamond League later this season
I’m not sure he will get invited to a diamond league meet until he competes internationally at a world level and does at least fairly well. Knighton didn’t appear in a diamond league meet until 2022, the year after his break out 2021 season. If there was a Diamond League event in Australia, he might have had a shot getting 1 spot because I think each Diamond League event is required to leave at least 1 possible space for an athlete of their own country, but since there are no Diamond League meets in Australia, he will have a tough time getting a spot at such a young age. Once he starts beating professional athletes, he will get noticed and will eventually get invited to the Diamond Leauge.
@@jermaineayivoh8263 Thank you for the context, and that's a shame. Tebogo is a great example of what that platform can do for an athlete's profile, and hopefully Gout gets that chance soon
This immediately puts him into the top 30 or so fastest ever Australian athletes as well.
top speed looks incredible
His arms look so relaxed when he runs, no tension in his body
I'm so excited. I am Jamaican at heart but an athletics fan to my bones. I love amazing talent anywhere on the planet.
That 10 lane track looks so cool
I can't remember a time when Australia had a Legit Medal contending Sprinter?? I know they've had a couple very fast guys no doubt, but not Medal contending Fast. Way to go Australia... Let's just hope they don't over run him during his important growth years.... Can't wait to see what transpires with Gout Gout in the future, but it's exciting to see this potential from a Aus Sprinter.👍🔥👍
Thats because we've never had one over the shorter sprints in the men or at least in the 100m. You'd have to go back a few decades to the 200m I think was the last Australian male to medal in sprints at Olympics

and he ran thru the tape. nice to see
Pure raw talent that no one will stand in front of without being swept away. Gout Gout is not running, he is five-to-flying. Wishing him all the best.
That separation from the field in the final 50m reminded me of FloJo's WR. This kid's maintained an increasing acceleration is unreal.
crazy talent, can’t wait to see what he becomes and awesome to have another non-usa prodigy
The GOAT GOAT. This kid has the ability to be the Greatest Olympian of All Time! He runs like the track is on fire, and he is running for his life! His only competition is himself. If he played MLB, he could steal 100 bases per season. Yes you can steal firstbase.
10.74 to 10.29 in a few months is crazyyyyyyyyyyy. Very unheard of. Is this is first time in sprints?
He probably had crap form and a crap start before.
also had a -2.2 headwind
He ran a legal 10.4 last year.
The difference is really 10.56 down to 10.29. The 10.74 should be disregarded because of the negative wind. 02:12
Gout Gout has been known for a little while tbh since at least late 2022
it really does look like he is still pulling away from the rest at the end of the race, the amount of distance he pulled ahead in such a short amount of time is absolutely amazing
Great video, someone I’ll be talking about soon
Gout just won the Australian title for Under 20 yesterday! He is only 16.... Even his coach said that 'it is scary' how good he could become. She is doing a good job as a trainer. And he is still a kid... The way he talks and smiles.
Unbelievable insane! What great gift!!! 💕
❤ Amazing GOUT GOUT. Good Job, Well Done. Keep it up and going.😊👍🏿👏🏿
Erriyon KNIGHTON at 16y in 2020 ran 10.29 at 100m , 20.33 at 200m and 47.55 at 400m
gout gout has until december to run fast in all events could definitely see something happen
Love his technique and style! And how he doesn't aim to 100m mark. He just flies past it like it never happened. :)
I had the chance to be inside the track during last years state finals during his 200m. To see that raw speed and ability come from such a young athlete was insane. Also had a great laugh with his coach after the fact, seems like a cool guy
Dudes top end speed reminds me of Fahnbulleh’s but with a good start
Yea got that bounce to it
Wow. He literally bounds the entire distance, producing tons of horizontal projection.
a prs Dodoo fan?
As a Aussie Athlete, there has been a lot of prodigy runners coming out of Queensland right now? (Tori Lewis, Amaya Mearns & Ofc Gout Gout) Whatever is going on up there, they are doing something right! Got me looking forward to Brisbane Olympics!
GO GOUT! GO GOUT! U WILL WIN WITHOUT A DOUBT 🥇
At first glance, his sprint form seems visually similar Bob Hayes (1964 100m Olympic gold medalist, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver) especially early in the race. Hayes had that left/right shoulder bob going on well down the track until he smoothed out a bit. Gout Gout looks like a great prospect.
Hope he remains disciplined and keeps focused he will be a force to reckon with.
6:07, fun fact, the 4th place guy Ash Moloney has an olympic bronze medal in the decathlon
Great talent needs great coaching! Congrats to Ipswich Grammar super-coach Di Shepherd and her squad!Fantastic running! He can 'fly' over 200m too!
i watched Gout Gout run the 20.87 mentioned earlier this year and presumed he'd be getting covered here pretty soon. That 10.29 unassisted is remarkable. Looks like his top speed is up there with sub-10 sprinters already, but he'll need some more strength to track them over the first 60m.
Well done young man
5:13 not to mention that the first athlete in that field was no other than Calab Law, bronze medal at the U20 WC that year, man of semi-finals at senior world championships as a junior!
Bro, I’ve seen him race in person. He is a beast
Give Gout Gout a Shout Shout.
I've been keeping my eyes on this guy for a couple of years, he never disappoint.
I mentioned this guys name in the comments section of a video 10 months ago in a video about Letsile Tobogo. He had just run 20.87 in the 200M as a 15 year old. He is going to be fire
Amazing athlete. Even better person. 🤞🏽
As long as he doesn’t go represent Sudan like Sasha zohya did to France aus future is looking good.
WoW - he really runs through the line as if it's a 200m 😮
At 16, wild stuff can happen
Come to South Africa, Naeem Jack (17) ran a 12.95 110m hurdles
I remember running against super talented sprinters. It was like they had a V8 and you had a V4. You tried harder but they won from better lungs and body. I never was bitter about that, just hoped they made something of their gift.
Please protect this young runner
The length of his stride is definitely very impressive! It makes me jealous.
Truly wild!! When he stays healthy and gets stronger later, he's destined to owe every record he runs. Question is: Will there be any competitors for him? 😮
Finally someone worthy of your hype. Very promising, with the right training and necessary discipline he actually could be the next Bolt. He will have to choose between just being very very good happy and enjoying life or Greatness. Cant have both, Greatness requires sacrifice, pain and suffering talent and skill is not enough. Its not a fun experience forging your name in the annals of History - Thats why only a few can do it. He’s obviously got the talent but its for too soon to tell if he’s got the will, when we see how he handles the pressure and temptations of money and women that the fame and success his talent will bring him over the next 4 or 5 years, then we’ll know.
to me that gout gout sprint looks like when i watch the clips of flo jo running without gravity seemingly and a very similar mechanics over the last 50 meters of the race, accelerating while floating
Yes Vic - you're a champ! Go Ipswich Athletics!
That’s fast for a 16yr old but it looks super fast because of the field he’s running against. It would look the same if you had someone running 11.25 against a field running 12s.
Let’s go Gout Gout, US is cheering for you!
