What happened to Crusoe?
We're still here.
It's been a while, and I know many of you have been wondering where we are or how Crusoe has been - so this episode is an update on everything that's been happening.
Unfortunately it's been a tough road for Crusoe with more health hurdles.. including further setback with his IVDD, and then an injury to his toe led to a possible cancer diagnosis - but fortunately it was not cancer. However, in the process he had to lose a toe.. which has only challenged his walking even more...
We're not quite sure why life throws so many hurdles at poor Crusoe.. he deserves so much better. But I guess good things don't always happen to the people (or dogs) who deserve them..

When you said “cancer” my heart literally sank. I’m thrilled it wasn’t cancer. You’ve had enough challenges. I love you guys ❤❤

We love you all so much. You all do whatever's needed to help our dear boi. Cru has been through so much. I think his IVDD care was through Cornell University? I love the 'skis' on the stroller legs. ❤❤❤❤
Me too it almost made me feel sad cancer can take a dogs life or anyone's life away I lost my dog to it on November 28th 2020 my heart sank when I found out what the results were but I'm thankful to have my new dogs I got them on December 3rd it took me awhile to process
The second I heard the C word I started balling and hugged my weeens. Crusoe made me want a ween so bad. I love my Harley Quinn but I do worry as she gets older.

Aging is an unfortunate part of life. I'm glad Crusoe is still able to make the most of his senior years and that he has Daphne for moral support.
Very happy to have Daphne keeping me on my toes - even if I have one less now! 🙃

Yes he has and I still continue to get a new wall calendar every year. I just love the little doxies. My daughter has a miniature like Crusoe and she is now 18 🥰

I am so glad Crusoe has parents who are so dedicated to giving him the best quality of life despite the problems life keeps throwing at him. Seeing his dad come up with that water treadmill was such an inspiration. Love Crusoe and Daphne to pieces but also in awe of the love of their parents
I have a 14 year old mini dachshund, Lily (lost her sister last year) She’s a blind, insulin dependent diabetic & has a new Giant German Shepherd brother. Now she loves going outside again & running on those Vienna sausage legs like the wind thru the tall grass. People in the condo have asked me if I got a new puppy! Duke & Lily & mama send their love ❤️

@Trishor-vf2dw, I have followed Crusoe since he's been on Facebook and I'm sitting here with tears flowing down my face. Over the years my husband and I have had 8 Dachshunds, no, they owned us. All of them are gone now but I can't talk about any of them without crying 😢😢😢😢😢😢

Daphne is the same age as my LuCy. They will be 5 this year!!

Hang in there little buddy. It's hell getting old. I turn 65 this year and I have to have some test run to check my heart. My heart hasn't been right lately.

My grandson grew up watching you guys. I have a picture from a few yrs back of my two dachshunds watching one of your videos. My male has since passed but he loved watching Crusoe
What a beautiful video, a special shout out and thank you to Mom, Dad, Daphne, & of course Crusoe! Please don't ever give up Crusoe, we are all praying for you. Crusoe, I have a disability too, and after a long rehab, I can still do things, just differently. So please remember, you can still do things, just differently, even if it means you might need to use a doggie wheelchair at some point. The most important thing to remember is, you will always be our Crusoe inside & out.

I have thought time and again about Crusoe and the Gang and hoping that he is okay. I'm so sorry he keeps getting "curveballs" thrown at him. That poor dog! I will keep sending positive thoughts.

I’ve been following Crusoe the entire time, and I hate to see that he’s getting older, but you guys are phenomenal in your care, love, and devotion.
Our pets getting older is a sad part of life that comes too quickly. Love them & cherish each & every day because those days will go by quicker than the blink of an eye. Love both your little weiners! 🐾🐾❤️❤️😺😺🐾

I lost my Dot about 4 years ago Cru and Dap kept a smile on my face since. I know aging is part of the process and i just love these 2 so much thank you Cru and humans for the updates and uploads part of us will be missing without you all for sure.

Nice update, we also have a 13 year old longhaired dachs. He is still healthy, Even if his hearing ability is not so good anylonger. Good luck to crusoe ❤ I wish him a long life that he can share with us.

I just want to say that I adore the name "Danger Mouse" for a doxie...admittedly, might just be because that was a favorite cartoon of mine, but it seems very fitting!
@@Mokiefraggle he is a longhaired sliver dapple the youngest or our clan he is as all young dachshunds a ball of energy suffering from the zoomies constantly. he was a rescue so for the first couple weeks he wouldn't come out from under the lounge but as soon as he came out he hasn't stopped tearing around the house
Your pups are so lucky to have patient, loving parents willing to work hard to keep them healthy.
I have enjoyed watching Crusoe over the years and I am aging with him. I am so glad to see this update and know he has Daphne to help with his recovery when needed. I have had dachshunds in the past and I will miss them forever. I now have a terrier/dachshund mix which I adopted a few years ago. He is a massive ball of energy and from day one he reminded me of Daphne. He loves to watch everything from his window and he loves his toys. He also loves to "steal" everything. Thank you Crusoe and Daphne for keeping me entertained. ❤❤
My doxie Peps is 13 and doing great. I take him to the vet every 3 months just for a check up.Only difference so far is he has a day here or there where he just seems out of it...I call it his senior moment time!I love your doggies and love the updates.......you can do the shorts once in awhile so we dont worry please!I had a cat that loss her dew toe on the shower ridge on the bottom. She had surgery that night.Love you guys!!!!

I have watched and loved Crusoe for so long and remember when you got Daphne. They’re both precious and I’ve been so sad about Crusoe’s health issues. The love of a dog is so special ❤🙏🏻
So glad it wasn’t cancer on top of all Crusoe’s other challenges. I have had cancer, though, and have been cancer-free now for many years. So, even if it had been the C-word, most forms are now survivable. Best wishes on your rehab, Crusoe, and thanks for your helping paws, Daphne!

I'm so glad to know that Crusoe is doing okay. My dachshund is going through round two of IVDD at 6 years of age with absolutely no trauma, jumping, or horsing around. We limited her activity and didn't allow for any impact activity and yet, here we are. It's so traumatic. So, anyone else's success story makes me hopeful for her future. Thank you for sharing your babies with us! They are characters for sure. ❣
Thanks for the updates..boy Crusoe has had a bad run of injuries..poor lad..I'm 64 and have had Dachshunds all my life..l was 2 yrs old when l got my first Daxie..his name was Fritz..not very original l know but obviously not my choice..but in all those yrs I've been lucky and none have had back/disk issues..its great seeing Crusoe and Daphne..it must be hard for Crusoe as he want to play but obviously just cannot be let free to rough and tumble with Daphne..looking forward to the videos..good luck guys..and enjoy the heat of Florida !!🇬🇧💕✝️🙏🐾🐕🐾🐕👍👏🇨🇦

I started crying when I heard about the toe and that it could be cancer. I am so glad that it was not. You have been through enough. I live in Florida and would love to know where you are and if you and the rest of your family are going to be making any public appearances. I lost the love of my life Lola Lu a Doxie 1 year ago this month and she looked so much like you Crusoe. I will be send love and prayers to you all every day.

I nearly got a heart attack when they mentioned the possibility of cancer. Thankfully, it's not. Crusoe has been so tough over these past few months. Daphne and Crusoe can get through anything together. They deserve all the likes in the world!

I have followed Crusoe and Oakley ever since they have been on Facebook. I have to admit that I am sitting here typing with tears running down my face and missing the 8 Dachshunds that my husband and I have owned over the years, no, they owned us. They are all gone now and I still can't talk about them without crying. Crusoe I love you very much and I have one of your t-shirts that I love. ❤
