This box is MOSTLY finished! I just need to add the top trim pieces (probably tomorrow) and then hook it up to my test bench (not necessarily in that order). Tuning was lower than I expected at just around 21hz which is actually not a bad thing for home audio/home theater. I hope it sounds good, i think it will! Check back for the bench testing video coming soon. If it does what i think it will, we will for sure build box number 2 and then bring both home. They will be powered by a 1000 watt Audiocontrol home amp (2 of them, one for each sub). Stay tuned! Thanks again to Gately Audio and crew!

Looks so sick! Just that white sub "surround" on the out side is jumping out to much. Having that in black to match the box, would looks so good.

"pricey" is in the wallet of the beholder. To some people, a Walmart sub in the bottom of the "falling prices" bin is pricey. They are amazing though and you get what you pay for for sure. thanks!

Just Realised its 4 home Theater. I have Crack the dry wall in my house with a 8 inch sub at only 300w. In a 20ft x20ft Room. And it's only the Ceiling which is dry wall. The rest is solid concrete And Bricks. So looking forward 2 this one. Got me on the edge of my seat.

When I went to your shop and saw these in person, I had no idea what would come in the future. This just blew every picture I had in my head. Just getting better and better projects. That is why I buy smd products, we can watch from design to ordered product all right here and know we are paying for top notch quality. Love your work Steve, keep it up and I will keep buying from you, and one day maybe be able to afford some gately love too.

In 1062 when I was a DJ and into music. I built this exact system. Large and heavy but filled each room that I took it to. I learned then the encloser is just as important as the speaker. Mine did not have the lights.

That's crazy. When you said he wanted to do something on the bracing, that is the exact design I had in my head, with it tucking in to the sub. so tight it blends in well.
meade... your an amazing installer... hell of a fabricator .... design some of the best equipment in car audio to date... but build amazing terminal cups in the usa.... and use metric hardware.... again... 100 percent respect for everything you do... design and build....
it isn't metric hardware. Those bolts are 5/16-18 which is not metric. Not that it matters to me at all, it could have went either way when i first designed it. That is just a typical size we use at the shop for fuse blocks etc... But thanks!
@meade916 ohhh my bad.. again you do amazing work and design some great things to help out the car audio community... I guess I assumed they were metric since a metric wrench was used to tighten it....
@@thomasstott527 if i have a bolt with a 1/2" head on it, a 13 will always work just as well. Not sure if you are aware of that. Thanks again though.
