JOSEPH and his husband Nathan have been together for 13 years. The couple are getting ready to welcome their twins into the world very soon. Joseph’s sister, Breeana, is carrying their babies. The family are excited for the new arrivals, however, they have faced a lot of negativity on social media including homophobic comments and outrage from people wrongly assuming the process was incestuous. Joseph said: “Some people were so excited like ‘ah this is so perfect you’ll be able to see her every day’... Some people thought ‘this is sick’, ‘you guys are freaks’.” Nathan added: “And they’re all adults that are making these comments. They’re the bullies.” The couple’s friend - Kortney - donated her eggs and Breeana is their gestational surrogate. Joseph said: “We don’t want to focus on the negative and I don’t try to give them any attention. We’re going to rise above.” Joseph and Nathan own a high end salon where Breeana and Kortney also work. The four have a close bond and celebrate all their achievements and share their story to empower others. Joseph said: “There are no words to describe the amount of gratitude I feel towards Kortney and Breeana.”

I see two selfish, entitled men. And two babies that will grow up without a mother. And I wonder how the sister dealt with the following months having given birth but with no baby to breastfeed and care for. Those guys spoke about how much the first miscarriage devastated them. Muliply that by 1000 for the sister - hormones are powerfuk things. And what about the egg donor? Hopefully the huge doses of hormones administered to her to promote the ripening of multiple eggs for harvesting won’t increase her chance of ovarian cancer, as has happened to previous egg donors. And who loves this the most? The agencies that facilitate surrogacy. It’s a huge multi-million dollar industry that needs to be stopped in its tracks.

I don’t get the hate here. The sister is being a surrogate and supportive. Even if she were the egg donor (which she isn’t) even then whats wrong the issue. They are literally fertilizing the egg in a lab in a petridish! They seem like a loving couple who would give a child a good life, far better than some other straight people.
I could see an issue if she was the egg donor to her brother's sperm but that is for genetic reasons. If she was the egg donor to her brother-in-laws then no biggie. She currently is the surrogate so it doesn't have any genetic issues at all. People have a hard time separating their cultural, and religious upbringing, from their society and want to impose it on others, because they have a hard time empathizing that there might be a different way. I used to be that way. It is much easier now to see the good in people and see that these people just want to love children and they are more similar to the norm, then they are not.
The only issue is if the sister was the egg donor because that would cauSe genetic disorders, but they had a separate egg donor so there is no problem with that. As long as they love them who cares!

I think the problem is that these two men seem very narcissistic and very focused on looks and therefore there’s some real questioning about what kind of parents these guys are going to be. It’s hard to picture either of them dealing successfully with a child who’s ill or throwing up.

My daughter in law was a gestational carrier in 2022, unfortunately the baby was stillborn. My sister’s daughter in law, signed up to be a gestational carrier at the same time as my DIL, sister’s DIL had a healthy pregnancy and the two husbands flew in from Germany to get their baby a year ago this month. My DIL is pregnant with her 4 the pregnancy, my 3 rd grandchild. I cried when baby Rohan died, I went through infertility and I was told I could never conceive & if I did, I couldn’t carry my babies full term. God works miracles, because my husband and I have 3 beautiful adult sons. Yes I did miscarry several times, I almost died from an ectopic pregnancy, In between my second and third son. 🙏😇

It's an issue because these men are deliberately making the children motherless.Mothers are extremely important in a babys life.
Babies need their mothers. Biologically and psychologically. While "the egg donor" is the genetic mother of these babies, "the carrier" is their actual mother. Her body will create and grow these babies with her own blood and tissues. The babies will share her blood and baby and imprint on the sound of her voice and her smell. Everyone agrees that a child losing its mother harms that child. These men are intentionally creating babies that will not have a mother, that will be removed from their mother. Intentionally harming their babies from the moment of their birth by depriving them of their mother. They are even further complicating matters by giving the children a mother and a genetic mother. These children will grow up with a very confused parentage. Many foster children and adopted children struggle with identity issues when their stories are far more straightforward. On top of that, these men are treating women in their lives, a friend and a sibling, like commodities to be used, with little to zero thought for the permanent physical and mental impact this experience - creating two babies and having them taken away from them - will have on these women, who are supposedly dear to them. Pregnancy and bearing children are profound parts of the human experience. They cannot be reduced to a simple exchange, supply and demand. Not to mention what others have reacted to in this video: these babies seem to be nothing more than accessories for these clearly vain men's excessive lifestyle. There are many reasons why people are deeply disturbed by these men and what they are intentionally doing to the women in their lives and their future children.

What makes a mother exactly? The person who's body the egg came from? Inmany cases, hardly. The person who carried and gave birth to them? In many cases no way. The person/s that love, care for and raise the child in the best ways possible? Sacrifice themselves everyday for that child? I'd say that's a yes. Only time will tell whether these 2 are fit to be parents or not, but they clearly surrounded by a tribe willing to give their best and that's more than you can say for a lot of "normal" passing families.

That bond is so special and can't be replaced. Separating such tiny babies from their mom can cause trauma, and those two individuals will be accountable for it.

Child a child b daddy and daddy both wanted a child and daddy friend aunt courtney allowed that to happen. Then aunt carried you to bring you home to us. If the pagents deem it top explain similar to adopted children they younger it is explained to their age level the easier it is to go as your older that dads needed help.
Having a known egg or sperm donor can be difficult. Having unknown egg or sperm donor can be difficult. Having a dead beat dad can be difficult. Being adopted can be difficult. These children have 4 loving people in their lives, that is way more than most kids get.

The best friend who was unpacking the baby stuff is the bio mom. Science means anyone can incubate if they're healthy. I saw a video of a 70+grandma who incubated for her daughter with her daughter's egg(& partner of course). Baby came out fine.. some ppl just can't carry for one reason or the other.

They are pretty aware of the fact that the babies will carry DNA from all 4 of them. They just don't want to acknowledge it. That is the reason why his sister had a miscarriage. Now, she will give birth to the babies but, they will be at the risk of having diseases, not just because of the sister but because of all of them being the parents.
