In an interview with Sky News, the Israeli ambassador to the UK, Tzipi Hotovely, said that there is no humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
In response to a comment about pictures that illustrate a humanitarian crisis, Hotovely said: “Would you expect your government to think about those Nazis committing those crimes?”

This is the kind of things I've been learning about Israel. Of course, this isn't shown by many western mainstream media. This is stuff I've learned mostly by reading comments, and then Googling things I thought were wrong. Turns out I was wrong for believing what I had been told to believe.

For real. 15 years ago I was ignorant of the situation. Just went along with the “Israel has a right to defend itself” line. Then after reading more books, essays, articles about it and watching as many docs, videos, and films as I could, I was shocked at what Palestinians have dealt with both in the occupied territories and as Israeli citizens for decades now. I’ve tried making people more aware of Palestinian history, culture, and their stories because it’s non-existent in the US and they’re almost always portrayed by Israel and US political leaders and the media specifically as terrorists. Within the past few years I’ve been more stunned at the unabated oppression, aggression, and outright dehumanization being done by Israel authorities. The Oct 7 Hamas attack was abhorrent and I do not approve what happened whatsoever. I can also say that this attack did not happen in a vacuum. Israel wasn’t some innocent victim here. There are former IDF soldiers and Israeli activists who have tried to fight for Palestinians and expose Israel’s crimes against humanity, but they have been threatened and violently attacked even. It’s all so awful.
