  • I am a huge burroughs fan so don't get pissed when I say this, if burroughs was seriously injured his corner wouldn't let him wrestle. Burroughs has been slowing down in his last big matches not just this one but many of them and his speed is what made him a monster. He's beaten tsargush 2 times this is his 1st loss against him. He'll get him next time. I can promise that.

      @scottab140@scottab1409 жыл бұрын
    • scottab140 Its not an excuse if its true. Burroughs injured his knee badly in his very first match. This is a fact. Do you think Burroughs would have lost 2-9 to Tsargush if he was healthy? Keep in mind this is the same guy that was dominated by Kyle Dake last year.

      @knightmire@knightmire9 жыл бұрын
    • knightmire He was "dominated" because he stopped wrestling since he knew he had lost. If he had actually continued, he wouldn't have lost by that many points.

    • Burroughs and Tsargush are the best at that weight class. The Russian won on that day and Burroughs won the last time they met at the World Championship. There is honor in being beaten by a great opponent, even not at Jordan's 100% best, but you can give Jordan credit for wrestling banged up but you cannot take credit away from the Russian for winning.

    @JayB2@JayB29 жыл бұрын
  • It's obvious that the knee injury (MCL) played a big factor in this match. JB couldn't explode on his shots from outside & even when he got in on one he couldn't put pressure on that leg (3:40). This worked into Denis' favor as JB stayed in the collar ties & allowed Denis to work his 2 on 1's & stay on defense once he had the 1st period lead. No disrespect to Tsargush bc he is a great, great wrestler but JB has controlled him when healthy.

You could obviously see Jordan wincing in pain as Tsargush twisted his knee, however, he might have been worse off if Tsargush had attacked his good leg because he wouldn't have anything to support himself on. When Dan Gable wrestled internationally he wondered why guys always attacked his bad knee for the same reason.

He can hit his double legs and single legs from lots of different positions including his knees and from the front head lock position. His explosive style is one the things his fans like most about him.
