  • I didn’t know about Beal’s no trade clause so I did some research. Turns out he’s only the 10th EVER player to receive a no trade clause alongside Lebron, Melo, Wade, Garnett, Dirk, Kobe, Duncan, Garnett, and Stockton.. What were the Wizards thinking!? Beal is a pretty elite scorer but played for a team that was rarely above .500 and he never led the Wizards to a winning record after John Wall left the team. Beal and his preferred Miami trade broke down due to Beal refusing to waive his 15% trade kicker (15% increase to his salary whenever he chooses to be traded). If Beal ever agreed to be traded away from the suns (he would get to choose which team as well), he would take up over 66 million dollars of cap space in his final year 😂 Beal also went on to selfishly choose the Suns trade over other teams that offered better trade packages to the Wizards, so I would not be surprised if he ends up milking his contract at the expense of the entire Suns franchise for the next few years.
