My two cats are rescues who had been abused. It took a long time to help them trust again and run and play again. Now they are confident and super loving and affectionate. Actually, they've become jokesters too, they often clown around and do things to make me laugh. If we learn what to look for, they communicate with more than meows , they also use body language and they are far more intelligent than I had realized. If people have cats I highly recommend learning from the Cat Daddy, Jackson Galaxy. I have learned so much from his youtube videos and it's been amazing, my cats are happier, I understand so much more about them, and they have become so affectionate and confident. If people have dogs, I highly recommend Victoria Stilwell, she trains dogs using positive, humane methods, rather than fear and punishment. This makes the training experience easier, faster because mamals learn better when they feel safe and learn slower when fearful and stressed, much like us human mamals 😉 Sometimes I even use what I learn from her with my cats 😊👍 Adopt, Don't Shop ✌️

I have never fully believed she fell in by accident. Her mental trauma would be there, but not as strong were it an accident. She *knew* what happened to her, that's why it took her such a ling time to start to bloom. Animals just don't get that desperately traumatized "by accident". Takis always says the traumatized dogs he rescues need a lot of work. And while that is definitely true, it always seems like the shelter holds some kind of magic that helps these babies heal extremely fast. Ariel is a completely new dog, and while she still isn't 100%, we can see how love and time helped her regain her life back. Wonderful recovery.

Ariels battle was a wonderful story. She seemed to take such a long time to get over the trauma, and you all stuck by her and let her recover in her own time.
Ariel is so precious. I really think a human threw her in the tank. She was so scared of Takis for a long time. It was so wonderful to see Ariel play and he happy. It's fun to watch her play now. And although still a little shy we can tell she loves Takis. Is there a special person out there that is good enough for this angel? We hope so. Please adopt. ❤️🐾
Every time I see Ariel's beginnings I choke back tears because she suffered so much she was at the brink of death and hopeless. Takis and team have spent a looooong time bringing her back to life-- as the puppy she should have been all along. Even now, she still has lingering traumatic behaviors -- like hiding-- but overall she's happiest when playing with other dogs. Takis is the true miracle worker, I can only hope Ariel's remaining life is a happy one.

I have thought from the beginning that she didn’t fall into that water she was thrown into it. That’s why she doesn’t want to be picked up; she’s afraid of being thrown again. She’s teasing Takis by running up to him and then running away it’s her way of testing to see if she can really trust him.

Thank you Takis for saving Ariel. What would have happened to her if she went somewhere that didn't understand her like Takis does. He gave her body and mind time to heal and now she is a happy girl. I hope she will find a home with someone who understand her like Takis does. ❤❤

I think she didn't fell but was drop in the tank to die fortunately someone pick her up just in time and Takis rescued her. I will visit Takis shelter
