  • Almost noone talks about the US "experimental" carpet bombings with napalm bombs on Tokyo, Kobe, Osaka and other cities, which caused more than 300,000 gruesome civilian deaths, left even more people injured, and almost 2 million people homeless.

    • Well, that’s what happens when you sneak attack a country. You get some not so nice pay back and some not so nice gruesome deaths.

    • I don’t justify anything sir I’m just telling you what it was and why it happened. Do you wanna think they’re war crimes that’s totally on you. But the Japanese are known for their ferociousness in battle, not to mention, they were all hyped up on methamphetamine all the time. So yeah, we kind of had to drop a couple of them on her. Why are you mad bro?

  • I like to say that the Gas weapons is truly the first weapon of terror equilibrium, as no one as tried since WWI to use gas against an opponent that is able to produce weaponised gas

  • *Scientists and engineers can't ultimately control how people use their discoveries and inventions.* Thus, the question of whether it's ok to develop science and technology that can be used for weapons is ultimately irrelevant, as just about every type of technology can and does get used in warfare. You can *hope* that the pursuit of scientific truth and effective engineering will ultimately do more harm than good, but that takes a leap of faith. Of course, if you're deliberately developing infectious diseases or engineering torture mechanisms, that's awful, but for every Unit 731, there are thousands of institutions and millions of people whose work contributes to weapons without their knowledge or consent.
