The one thing the viewer will never experience, is the feeling of a big tree hitting the ground.
Yup 💪
Making the View Better for BigFoot
I wonder what percent of the old growth Cedars do not have a huge bunch of rot ? Thanks Bjarne , your positive outlook is always amazing.
Depends on the area, I’ve found. But it’s not uncommon for the big cedars to have some rot holes in the center
Beautiful drop I the bucket BJarne 😊.
I never miss a segment Brother,Thanks for your efforts!
Cool thanks for watching 💪🤙
I love this stuff , massive adrenaline rush... Keep it up - be safe
Mark that spot on the map for future exploration! 😊
Hey Bjarne, what's amazing is you just made this video, and it's still Cold enough up there we can see your breath, wow......k
No this was last shift. I have a hard time uploading raw footage to my editor(Bieke) while in camp. So I wait till I’m out of camp then it take a little while to get the finished videos back, then I schedule the videos. Although I did have sleet at work in the 13th. We were working at about 1800ft elevation and miles inland from the ocean.
Crevices like that are where the grizzlies hang out, in my experience. Be careful.
That’s where Sasquatch lives 👌🏻🤘🏼🤘🏼
If he’s there, he’s keeping the bears away then haha
I watch your videos with a mixture of emotions. Awe, envy and sadness. Awe because of your skill and the beauty of the environment you work in. Envy because I wanted to be a logger when I was a kid. Sadness because you are destroying some of the last old growth forest on the planet. Your videos are the modern TicTok equivalent of those old black and white photos of loggers on a huge stump thinking they were documenting a grand event but in retrospect were actually documenting an environmental crime.
Thank you.
Just for fun How many full cord of firewood in a huge tree like this...
Dunno I’ve never owned a fireplace but did chop firewood for my grandpa when I was a kid. He lives on the ocean and would pull logs onto his lawn from block hung between two large fir trees with his truck. I remember he’d always have dozen or more logs piled up, years worth of firewood.
@@BjarneButler wow that great experience to see
Bjarne, good stuff. Have you ever had any weird occurrences out in the bush?
Not me personally but I’ve head storys from other fallers and loggers about suspected Bigfoot/weird stuff. I’m saving up for a fancy infrared camera to help with the hunt
removing history one tree at a time
G'day Bjarne, I may have missed it, but did you fix the trigger problem and what was it?
So on average summer day how many wood ticks do you find on yourself?
Rare, here on the coast
HOW MANY TREES DO YOU CUT DOWN IN A DAY
That greatly depends on the size of the trees, the bucking specs, the terrain including slope angle and brush. Also define tree: do saplings & snags count? or just merch trees? Also the stand itself play a large factor, if trees are leaning every-which-way then that’s a lot slower then to a general lean. Also, how large is the block plays a factor too. Small block means a larger percentage of your time will be within 1 tree length of a side line and that can have a impact on you options of falling a tree, you might need to wedge more to keep a tree in the block. So lots of factors on how many trees you’ll fall in a day.
In the 1990s production fallers in B.C.interior working smaller wood around 2 ft dia used to try for 400 trees a day .
@@BjarneButlerO K HOW ABOUT A RUFF ESTAMENT I ALWAYS CHECK YOUR CHANNEL EVERY DAY TO SEE IF YOUR CUTTING DOWN A MONSTER TREE WHERE I LIVE THEIR ARE NO TREES LIKE THAT I LIVE IN THE U S
@@winstonskafte5505 DAM THAT'S ALOT
@@chrislane2030 and that would amount to about one tree every 1.2 minutes in an 8 hour day not counting fueling and sharpening or lunch, put another way 2ft dia times 400 trees would amount to about 100cords a day just in the first 8ft butt log. not sure what he is smoking but it must be some good shit.
