  • Saw this on a cow in the UK, but it was actually bleeding. When I mentioned it to the farmer, I was told she was ok! Finished my job, and reported him to the RSPCA. He was prosecuted.

You gave a sedative (can I ask which one) and dual nerve-blocks to reduce pain and discomfort of the patient, you are truly an AMAZING animal physician and a credit to your profession. • Had a friend whose family bought several cows and named them all. They raised them for a good while, and then one day they were gone. I asked where they went, and my friend informed me they had been sent to the butcher. A week or so later, he invited me over for a cookout. I wanted to help out, so I volunteered to grab the meat from the deep freeze in the garage. Open the freezer, and there are stacks on stacks of beef cuts, each with a name on the packaging. Long story. My point; naming something doesn't mean you won't eventually eat it. lol
