  • Martijn, you might not realize how important your channel is to many of us. War in Ukraine, Israel, child predators, the economy. Our week is so full of this. Then comes Sunday and I watch you building and planting. Bringing your cabin back to life. Calms the soul and brightens my world. Refills my reservoir of hope. Thank you.

    • Yes, his drawings are indeed stunning...but I was looking at the drawing, then looking at the shots of the actual wall and stove/stair area...looks like he may have been a little too optimistic of the width of the area in the drawing...looks like in practice, the stairs will have to be fairly steep, and only room for one of the firewood storage areas due to the room being so narrow...@@Theguys1

  • This was one of the most exciting recent episodes. I suspect it’s because of seeing the stove coming to life as the season changes and heat becomes important. Maybe it’s because like any large project work begins to narrow down into specifics and it’s easier to feel where the finish line might be. Whatever the reason, thank you for this Zen moment in my week. It’s essential to find a soul refresher if we are to hold onto hope in this troubled world. Thank you, Martjin.

  • You might want to incorporate a small wind generator power production system. It might help offset the lack of sunlight. The stove is really unique design . I Enjoy watching your videos very much.

    • Perhaps a smaller windmill that didn't stand out like a sore thumb... wonder if Martijn could design one himself? ...or some artist friend of his.

  • Cant wait for the stove and stairs to be finished and windows in. At least then you have warm dry work place to crack on with. The detail youve put in shows quality. You should be proud of how much youve done at such a high standard. In one word. " perfection".

  • I do find your Chanel so very interesting…I love the way you explain exactly what you are doing…the stove is going to be very beautiful…the work you have put into it shows in the craftsmanship….it was fascinating to watch the bricks absorbing the water and watching the air bubbles coming to the surface.. I never want the video to end and I’m sure I’m not the only one ….❤

  • This is what a polymath looks like everyone. A modern day artist, architect, builder, craftsman, philosopher, intellectual. This is what humanity looks like when governments, corporations and international banks are not part of the equation. The human being that is care taker of the earth and not thief. The human being that is pursuing life not retirement. The human being that is about relationships and kindness over wealth and pursuit of luxury. This is why the viewer is brought to peace...because this is how we should be living; simple human lives not as slaves to the whims and needs of tyrants and murder cults, but instead able to express our creativity and enjoy the work of our hands and the simple abundance it provides us. thanks Martijn, it's not your lifestyle that inspires me, it's your willingness to expose me to a life free of the fear of the cult-ural norms that turn us into slaves to the beast. Hope your channel survives for years to come and that you remain energetic to communicating your journey, no matter where it leads.

  • Hi Martijn … that stove is going to be more than just a heating unit… it’s going to be a “statement” in the cabin. Well done for going with this design … lots of work in setting it up, but so worth it when completed !! So glad you have managed to successfully increase the insulation of the battery box as well as adding to the existing power options. Can’t wait to see the windows frames installed. Good progress !!
