when you're the only black man in the streets of china this is what happens.
This is how Chinese behave towards you when it's their first time to see a black man.
Being black in China is a different experiences from being black in other countries. People tend to be more curious about you, but in general remain friendly and welcoming.

P.S. at the time i did this, we didn’t have smart phone or computer. The only thing i had was my 35mm camera.

Over here you will see friendly people, who want to take pictures with you, superb infrastructure, very conveniences to go around from city to city. All of my western friends who made visits to China came back with extremely high praises on China, on every aspect, such as friendliness of the people, the obvious and overt displays of happiness and satisfaction with their lives, the amount of true freedom enjoyed by the people and last but not least, the food. Some of the more outspoken western friends even adamantly condemned the lies in the reports in all of the western media.Have Fun ...

I think many foreigners to the Chinese might base their opinions on what they hear on the news, be it China or any other country. My take is, regardless of what you hear on the news, the majority of people just want to enjoy life, make new friends, and are just as curious as many from any foreign country are. They are not necessarily of the same mind set as their government is. I wish when i was younger i studied and learned many foreign languages as i would love to travel the world. keep up the great work.😊👍

The world is full of misunderstanding, wrong information, and a lot is there to kill the love people have for each other. Our world leaders are doing the best they can to put us apart. Maybe people need to embrace each other regardless of culture and race. My videos come to portray a situation where life could be just fun and love. Regards

  • Really drawing attention. Just walking by I could see most people turning around when moving past you. Take care, appreciate your videos! About that "no vlogging" misinformation. I think this is because of the firewall that is in China and lack of many western websites and social medias for Chinese people in mainland China. But that I think doesn't apply to foreigners, so that's why it is perfectly legal on your side. But, if Chinese would like to vlog and post it on KZhead, or access one of the banned websites, they would need to use workaround measures that I think are not legal in China. But they could vlog using any legal Chinese platform they usually use. So yeah it is pretty much that people heard something that is true, but mixed it with something else making it not true or half-truth only. And thanks for showing us China again. Would love to visit one day. But in general admire your attitude. Introvert myself and I can't imagine people staring at me all the time, would drive me crazy. I don't blame them of course. I remember in my country seeing a black person like 25 years ago was also a view that you didn't get often. But would be a hard thing to get used to for me.
