@@lestrem11 he replaced Grealish with Bailey, Ings and Emiliano Buendia. All of which under performed, and at that point after simply relying on Jack to do his thing, he'd probably hit his tactical ceiling for sure. Simply needing these 3 to do the same thing wasnt a plan, but just look what Emeri has done with players Deano's squad building and recruitment identified. Cash, Ramsey, Mings, Konsa, Watkins, Martinez and Douglas. And the above. Deano is a legend. He built this house and Unai is renovating it brilliantly. *special note to Steve Bruce for the £2million John McGinn foundations as well.

Yeah, cause before Deano came in, we were basically promoted already because of Grealish anyway right? Oh wait... It honestly felt like he found his ceiling with Villa in the Prem, but not giving him any credit for us getting promoted from lower mid table, and then subsequently staying up is baffling.
@@CookieWithACat I liked Dean but just remember, when Jack was injured we struggled. Can you remember a single tactical change Dean made that altered any outcome of any game. I don’t, he would put on 3 forwards with 5 minutes to go if we were losing, anyone could do that. Grealish was our diamond not Smith, Jack made a big difference, Smith didn’t. Yesterday….Emery made his first change at halftime, Smith would never have done that. ALL of the substitutes made a difference, without those changes I believe we wouldn’t have won. That is what a genius like Emery does. Good luck to Dean going forward, but he ain’t no genius.

What you need to understand about the heavy Newcastle and Liverpool defeats is we play a very complex defensive line. Tyrone Mings vocally ran that line for us and he got injured 10 minutes into the game. Paul Torres was always going to take a bit of time to get up to speed with the premier league. Since then Pau is ready and looks a giant, Konsa has stepped up and is now the vocal in the defence. Our defence is now fully in tune with each other, first 4 games of the season we weren't in tune and Torres wasn't ready. If I was you I would forget all about the Newcastle and Liverpool defeat as its crystal clear as to why those defeats happened. You can't turn up at Angield and St James Park with your defence not ready and that's it. Villa for the title.
