For the people calling this slow, 11.9 is exactly in line for 330hp/this weight. Gti clubsport mk8 is as fast and makes around 320hp on the dyno, an m140i stock makes ~360hp dyno figures and is only 0.2 sec faster from 100-200
In my opinion, the mk7 interior is better than the mk8 interior.
I can sit better in the mk8 ^^. but the exterior from the mk7 looks better

I want one so bad 😂. I understand the hate of the fart sounds because it can be too much, but with a great set up it can be less dramatic. But still amazing sound for me
All that who saying is slow for 330hp… WTF an Audi A5 3.0 TDI with same power does 100-200 around 15sec… come on guys is just a stage 1, this is actually pretty fast
lol that tdi a5 is almost 350 kg heavier :D but it can do 0-100 around 4.9-5.0 sec....in every weather condition (except ice and snow of course :D )

I have an Audi S4 3.0TDI (EU Spec) with 341hp. Stock car. 100-200 in 12,5 sec - dragy valid time. And my car weights 1900kg.

Running this until the rev limiter / until it auto shifts is really harming the 100-200 time, from my experience with the IS20 turbo. It would slowly lose power after 5500-6000 rpm, whereas the IS38 equipped models rev to the redline perfectly fine. With the same amount of torque, the gti is making 330 hp whereas the TCR would make 370-380 ;)

How about Oil temperature during harder runs like this? My friend have a Skoda Octavia Rs with same engine and also stage 1 and the Oil is going hot like crazy even after 10 minute run it hits about 125-130 degrees.. meanwhile Bmw M2 wont go over 115 even on track days
It's normal that oil reaches that high temperatures. Especially if you pull hard for 10mins.

Dutch car so it's eighter Shell V-Power (98 or 100 octane) Or they got 102 octane from a Aral gasstation but it's msot likely running on 98 octane

My cousin has this car
Golf 8 R does ~11,5s with around 340hp (measured) from 100-200. This one is 1s slower with slightly less hp (measured!). Time is not too bad as people already suggest here. There are little factors like Tyre combination, Fuel in the car, how much fuel, and one big Thing is the transmisson. The Software on new gen Golfs has a very good an fast transmission.
Golf gti tcr 100-200 is like 12,5
Golf 8 CS does 11,5 as well with less power
He did the run in automatic mode, my Octavia RS 230 stage 2 with IS20 turbo would fall flat on its face in the last 1000 revs before the limiter. The turbo can't handle those revs and thus it loses power when you rev it to redline. I guess that is why this is somewhat slow.

ab etwa 280 PS macht der Vorderradantrieb keinen Spaß mehr... Der Cupra ateca (310hp/4wd) ist über eine Sekunde schneller als der Cupra Leon (300hp/fwd). Und das nur so lange es trocken ist, danach wird der Unterschied riesig. Wenn es nass ist dreht der Leon noch bei 80 kmh durch...
Octavia RS 230 met sper, pilot sport 4S banden, DSG en 323 pk; beste tijd ooit gemeten 6,1 naar 100 op de Dragy. Komt puur door de wielspin relatief veel koppel vanaf lage toeren beschikbaar

@@viction7236 Really depends on the exhaust. That gearbox usually farts like that on high rpm upshifts, my S3 did as well, depending on the RPM range of the shift and on how hard the accelerator is pushed, its either a fart or more of a bang on the shift. My APR exhaust with open coded valves did that pretty loudly. The farting in the begining was due to the wheelspin and it trying to upshift I guess. One of the reasons why Im not a big fan of the GTI. It just cant put the power down from stationary, especially when tuned. The haldex in the R does a great job of that, but the GTI just cant.
@@Admonitor_ yeah ik the difference between the traction ignition cuts and the dsg farts, my gti does the former - I've got a full Remus catback but I'm not tuned The Golf R/S3 dsg farts stock but the GTI just doesn't despite having the same DQ381 Gearbox, maybe tuned I'll get them

It's odd because I have an MK7 GTI and the speedo is dead nuts accurate. Every time I drive by a "your speed" radar my speedo matches it perfectly (zero difference... not even off by 1 mph). These read-outs are in some school zones, construction areas, highway bridges etc. So I have a pretty large sample size. Maybe the wheel/tire size is different than what the wheel speed sensor thinks?
@@rootsmanuva82 it can be wheel related but there is a small probability that they had smaller wheels than OEM(real radius of the actual setup of the wheel). Or it can be related with the calibration. My s3 8L had a known issue that the speed got decalibrated(never had the issue but lots of them had it). I was just joking tho about it 😂. I love the car.

156kph in 3rd and 230kph in 4th. Too long ratio. AW Polo GTi also has this silly long ratio gearbox.
You're looking at speedo instead of GPS. Real km/h a lot less, but yes still pretty long gears.
@@ErikT595 I think this is intentionally done too not keep up with the faster AWD models. 7R does roughly 180kph on speedo in 4th gear. Great in gear acceleration compared to the FWD models.
