  • That 3rd tool, the centering jig, I actually invented that over 5 years ago. I sent my design off to an invention company who then took it to a trade show. Next thing you know, Kreg and all these other companies started coming out with similar jigs. Lost out. I still have my original prototypes both in Lexan(bullet proof glass) and steel. They also allowed you to use different size bushings to make holes for different dowel sizes.😥

    • It's a good idea but I'm not sure it's a big seller. It's easy to make a simple one yourself on the spot out of found materials. It was well known at least 40 years ago, which is when I learned the trick.

  • 5:54 that metal cutter is sometimes called a "nibbler". They make hand-powered ones. Works good for cutting PCB (printed circuit board) without filling the air with fiberglass dust.

    • I used a hand held version cutting in pneumatic gages for HVAC control panels when I was fresh out of high school. I also broke more than one trying to nibble thicker metal than its rating.

  • Very interesting tips. Suggestion, turn your phone camera horizontal, landscape mode. Watching your video seems as though we are looking through a keyhole, appearing in the center of our screen with the left and right cut off. Look around you, notice you see your world considerably more horizontal than vertical.
