Prince William is a lot more down to earth and easy going than people would generally think. He does seem shy and awkward but he’s a nice fellow. Taylor brought a little fun and light heartedness to the awkwardness. Tone down the judgements and just enjoy the moment. And well... the Bonj is and always will be great! Cheers!!!

Gotta give it to the Prince for sticking with it, in an interview with Graham Norton, Taylor says that the prince forgot all the lines right before going on stage, and was in a bit of a panic, asking Taylor if she'd go on stage with him to help take a bit of spotlight off of him so he could get through it. He managed to keep it cool and do the whole song, like a boss.
There's another version of that story today on CNN.
And Prince William said Taylor touched his arm and told him let's go and sing and he couldn't say no!
No matter the story , taylor should NOT have been up on that stage. Im sure the prince could have asked someone, anyone else. I tend to believe she did tell PW to take her up with him. Of course he forgot the words : now he is on stage with 2 lead singers and he never claimed to want the spotlight or sing!!
He said he did not know what happened to him so he went up to stage and sang. He was just another man with feelings and good vibes, like his mom.

She was also trying to help Prince William relax and have fun too because he told her he couldn't remember the words before the performance. You can see, before they start singing along, she tells him what the phrase is "We've got to hold on" - she's even gesturing to help him remember this phrase.

I cannot believe all the hate Taylor Swift is getting! In the Graham Norton interview, she mentioned that Prince William, a man she had just met and was a bit intimidated by because he is a future king, asked her to do this with him, and it seems as if she did it to support him. It did take him a long time to get up there for which Jon keeps on razzing him about. You can tell that Prince William is (understandably) nervous, especially juxtaposed next to natural entertainers like Taylor Swift and Bon Jovi. Taylor Swift is just that classy and nice.

They are paid a salary for being in the Royal family, but boy do they ever work for it. Can you imagine living a life under a microscope?

I can't believe people are criticizing these three. It's a very remarkable trio, and how many people can get up and say that they sang with a future king? I know some can say they sang with Taylor Swift and some with Jon Bon Jovi, but just a handful. This is fantastic.

I think this was a wonderful natural moment with two major stars and Prince William. He seemed a little shy at first but I think he had fun, and he knew the words. Unfortunatelly, I don't think he gets very many moments like this one because of who he is. And that's a shame. He will make a great King some day.
I suppose Charles has earned his moment in the sun, but for whatever it's worth, I think William is fully ready to ascend the throne. Ditto with his beautiful bride.

I don't know about anyone else but I just enjoyed watching Prince William up there singing. I had never seen it as this was 2013.
I saw prince William since he was a little boy in all the photos and videos of the press. I watch him now being so cool , nervous and shy, he touches me, so cute.

If i was Taylor , i would probably do the same things in stage . I mean you're on stage with Prince William and Jon Bon Jovi , you're singing livin on a prayer with them , how can you care about how you sound or how you look like when you're dancing . The weird moves from Taylor are totally normal for a situation like that . (also sorry for my bad English)

I think HRH Prince William asked Ms. Taylor Swift on stage because: (a)She knows the tune and lyrics better than he does; at 1:33 she's giving William a visible cue about the upcoming chorus (b)A male-female duet looks much less awkward on camera (c)He counting on Ms. Swift being an accomplished stage musician, having been awarded multiple Grammys (and she was conveniently seated right next to him) (d)Maybe he was counting on Ms. Swift playing the excitable/extrovert to contrast his own shy/reserved introvert Ms. Swift may have gotten overly excited; its understandable. How often does one get to sing along with a musical legend and a genuine royal prince?

WOW. I am from Australia, therefore I am part of the "Commonwealth" by default... seeing MY FUTURE KING being so "normal" as in no different to any one of 'us' singing to one of our fave songs, is so encouraging. It makes me realise that the Monarchy will remain strong and my future grandchildren, will have a wonderful King in their lifetime.

Song writer beautiful player producer manages herself promotes herself. She is the total package. Plus she is truly legit sweet and fan friendly. She is respected by so many artists from all genres. She is amazing. I love her as much as I love Black Sabbath and Ozzy.

Definitely. William seems to be a royal who also understands the life of regular folk. The British Empire is lucky to have a prince and eventual king like him. Diana did exceptional work with her kids. Too bad she was taken way too early. I'm quite sure this world would be a better place today if Diana had been allowed to stay with us longer.
His Father and the late Queen had far more to do with how he turned out than his mother. She used him as a confidant against his own father ffs. Diana was NOT a saint nor a particularly good mother.
