Bernard Hopkins after getting robbed of the win by way of a draw in his first fight with Pascal attempts to set the record straight with Pascal and once again attempt to break the record for being the oldest man to win a world title held by George Foreman
Tremendous achievement by one of the greatest boxers of all time. Hopkins is a true master.
Indeed Hopkins is one of the greatest!!
100%
One of the sports biggest assholes as well
"I won't retire until I get close to 50, so that's about what.. 46... 4 or 5 years from now." That joke was greatly under-appreciated.
ZeroDedication he kept his word, he didn’t retire till 51
LMAO at the entrance tune for B HOPS!!!
Bernards entrance is legendary.
+Dan A His entrance vs Trinidad was also classic.
You both are correct
" With all his might, no draw tonight. He'll do it his way"
Bernard Hopkins = INSPIRATION!
If you want to learn how to protect your head during a boxing match, watch Bernard Hopkins in any of his fights.
Wow! That was very gracious and beautiful of Bernard to say that about the possible knockdowns; fully saying and admitting that Jean slipped, but also admitting that if the referee asked him, then yes Jean was knocked down. I think that is beautiful and very admirable of Bernard to fully say and admit that straight up like that for real; u never hear or see that from anyone anymore now days for sure. Bernard was never one of my favorite fighters, but just like they said after the decision was read, you have to respect him and what he has done, and I definitely do.
I used to watch the Pavlik fight when I wanted to remenber that an old men can win a world class fight if he is disciplined and expirenced enough. This is the second time I watch this fight. Is the best of Bernard Hopkins career & history of boxing. Is an inspiration to believe that is never too late. God bless the legendary Bernard Hopkins and this great great great sport ❤️🙏
Bernard put on another boxing clinic! He’s a true professor of the sport.
Hopkins is the fuckin man
A lot of people do not see that Bernard is an excellent defensive fighter and he picks his spot he doesn't just throw punches for no reason and try to get lucky.
yea, he is very accurate with his punches ,a tactic master!
Most boring middleweight Champ in history.
my god i loves this fight. b-hop is a legend OG
hopkin's entrance was as magical as his career and boxing knowledge
Hopkins is the greatest technical fighter of our generation. Brilliant fight Bernard.Bomaye 🙏
The ref had was even laughing after b hop push ups. That was hilarious. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
46:50 the Pushups before the round though... Fire
Great fight by Hopkins.
B-hop showing his greatness once again
Hopkins has an extremely high boxing IQ. He waited until Pascal burned a lot of energy from throwing punches, so that his right could damage pascal in the third round. Pascal wouldn’t have gotten stunned, if he was more fresh. This strategy also made Pascal more cautious, which allowed Hopkins to break him down over time. Pascal’s youth was no longer a factor.
Yeah he’s a thinking fighter
Hopkins had to chase down a puncher. Only hopkins could do that at his age
Incredible 😂😂😂
Pascal impersonation of Bernard defense was funny.
Bernard "The Professor" Hopkins, one of the greatest boxers of all time.
"Twenty-three years in professional boxing, Bernard Hopkins' whole career is a tribute to the advantages of being made, not born. Throughout his career, his opposite number was the great Roy Jones. He was never brought into the sport with the kinds of gifts that Jones enjoyed. He didn't have all that physical talent. We saw that when first they met in 1993. Bernard had to learn every detail. He had to master the craft, and he did it like no one else in his generation. We saw that when he fought Jones again last year and dominated him just as completely as Jones had dominated him in '93. With what's made, not born, you can last a long, long time, particularly if you live a monastic life, if you don't drink, you don't smoke, you eat the right things, you train as clearly and cleanly as you can. Everything about that defines Bernard Hopkins," Jim Lampley, 12th round of this fight.
Watched this fight at least 200 times, Hopkins took Pascal to school again, Bomaye!
Watched this fight at least 100 times, met Bernard at Wild Card when Freddie was training him for the Winky Wright fight. That was very cool
The push ups were hilarious.
Fucken Legend Thank You Bernard Hopkins
RIP Manny Stewart.
52:27 HOPKINS SIGNATURE
I love this fight and first, ppl don't appreciate bhops style
thats a real hd, thanks for uploading
8:56 Max had that look like WTF r u doing LOL
I must thank you. The first person to see pass the language barrier. God has many names. Keep Shining bro.
Great advice by Hopkins at the end
What a great entrance song from Hopkins! Where can I find the song????
booth showed a lot of class after the fight im a fdan of booth now great job!!
pascal is a nice young fighter but bernard is a legend who knows how to handle all types of fighters and he showcased his skills in this fight...i hope he fights adonis stevenson or nathan cleverly even andre ward
B-Hop might be the oldest light heavyweight champion but Foreman is still the oldest heavyweight champion of the world.
rohli estrada wtf does that got to do with Hopkins he's a light heavyweight
one of the most fun boxing match i ever seen. Mostly thanks to Hopkins.
Bernard Hopkins is one of the top 10 greatest boxers of all time. His career cannot be challenged. Jean is an excellent boxer and will flourish in his career.
jean pascal is wack he fucking butt who loses to a 46 year old
Kwadre Williams Bernard has spent the last 30 years mastering his craft. His left hook is incredible. He is a master of distance. Bernard at 30 makes most professional boxers look like amateurs. I wouldn't blame Pascal. Pascal is a great fighter.
Brilliant narrative by Larry Merchant right there
Pascal was a joke of a boxer, he robbed B-Hop and Bernard went back and schooled this foo
Incredible fighter.
Bernard was masterful this night. 46!!!
Damm they killed it with the ring walks
Bernard knew that boy was a FRONT RUNNER
How many boxers that age could hit a much younger fighter with a lead right hook, or would even try it? Like him or hate him Hopkins was pretty amazing.
imagine being beaten by 46years old who pushed up between rounds 😂
Psychology at it's finest
B Hop put on a damn show here. Took him to school. Standing up every round before Pascal. Pushups. He had Pascal shook. Pascal wasn't warned ONCE for rabbit punches AND he got knocked down TWICE
pascal is looking like an amateur on this one .... its a good thing roy jones took him under his wing...
Pascal had youth, speed, strength and power advantage in a fight that was also his kind of fight and Hopkins still beat him. All these physical atributes aren't enough when you meet the master. Skills pay the bills. Until a golfer wins a Masters at atleast 70, don't compare them to Hopkins.
Hopkings PushUps crazy! Pascal was scared after that!
That ref's voice is horrible.
I WOW big in Las Vegas on this fight
Hopkins 👏
Hop so fucking technical
+HittokiriBattousai17 yes sir
Age ain't nothing but a number. Especially when you staying conditioned and training constantly.
Age matters, if Hopkins was younger this would had been an easy KO for The great Hopkins, Mother Nature my friend, age does matter.
Cheap shot from Hopkins with the thumb to the eye changed the course of this fight.
Wow, I must say, it was Hopkins counter left jab that was doing most of the business that night. His jab just wore Pascal down, and demoralized him. Granted, Hopkins right lead were most flush shots.
Yea both the counter and lead jab of Hopkin's were quick and had a whole lot of pepper in em. Idk how many times I seen Pascal's head snap back every time it landed.
Phil-ly, in the house!
robbed vs Taylor TWICE.....paid to lose to Calzaghe...look who is still fighting&look who is gone for good...greatest, most underrated champion of our era....looking forward to his fight next month & then again vs Stevenson for the 3rd belt
Come on now lol.
B-HOP is of the goats
Чтоб в 46 лет и после быть в такой форме как Бернард👍👍👍
Love it!
The referee misssed at least 3 knockdowns by B-hop, Pascal touched the canvas with his gloves . Manny Steward saw it and later in the fight also Max Kellerman.
46:49 LOL
Pascal was holding in for dear life when he got rockednecer seen a guy allowed to hold so long after the ref said break
The knockdowns should’ve counted. If he fell down, do to the floor being slippery, how come Hopkins wasn’t losing his balance?
Larry merchant being so disrespectful in the intro is infuriating ...
Guess British refs don't know what rabbit punching is. Or that hitting behind the head is not only illegal but dangerous
Oh mmy one of the greatest fighter's ever?
Emmanuel Stewart is looking old and kind of sick in his voice.
You CANNOT stand off Hopkins and give him space and time like this??
Everybody should be like B hop ageless skilled dedicated but when its time fight bring it not flashy just whoop your ass.
Referee: " C'mon, break!, break!!..", and, by then his British temper comes up: "..Break..!!!.., and then they finally break....If that lad didn't fire up, these two would have just kept tearin' each other's heads off indefinitely.... Proper grudge-match, this one...
Are you willing to take the test bhop!?
This was dam good fight.
Boxing lesson from Bernard Hopkins
Bernard is easily one of the greatest fighters of all time. Let me tell you any great fighter past or present would have great trouble against Hopkins.
Pascal a dirty fighter. B Hop out boxed him
This referee's voice is annoying
What an annoying referee !!!
18:08 19:25 20:07 What’s saying Buffer ?
Ian John Lewis (referee) is a legend !
this haitain cat hit like a bull ...
Yo I want an actual cat from Haiti now! Send me one...
If you're going to accuse Bernard Hopkins of being a cheater you're going to get your ass kicked
1:20:06 Bernard prononce le prénom Jean comme si c'était un levi'strauss.
This ref is below grade, with all of the holding, punching and holding, and rule breaking from Pascal, clearly this ref is blind. Not to mention the hitting in the back of the head knockdowns!!!
Did Bernard simply take the test to silence those accusations..?...(re: PEDs) If so, then he disproves them without question, and if not....why not disprove them in that manner, and not leave such a big accusation in place that could be so easily resolved?
The referee was a disgrace. Would still have been warning Hopkins without taking points if they were still fighting now.
This ref sucks the amount of times Pascal hit Hopkins in the back of his head and the ref says nothing is ridiculous
I don't know what fight Lederman watched for the first six rounds. I thought Bernard took 5 of 6 of them and Lederman had 4-2 for Pascal?!
If that ref isn't bought and paid for I don't know who is!
Yes, the ref mistakenly did not open the count, though Pascal was clearly knocked down. And I wonder why the independent referee gave round 2 to Pascal, when on my card it was Hopkin's by a gross margin? The guys did almost nothing during the first two rounds. No way Kovalev will give Pascal this luxury. Pascal will find himself under a barrage form the very first minute and will definitely be gassed by the champion's rounds. He missed several devastating punches from Hopkins and could survive. If he misses the same from Kovalev he will be down and out very soon. Frankly I don't see how Pascal can resist Kovalev's power, precision, the barrage of hooks, body shots, straight right. Bookmakers know their work, making Pascal an 1:4 underdog against Kovalev. I am with them. After seeing this match would even say it would be 1:5 against Pascal. If Stevenson at least has a long reach and a terrible left, Pascal does not have these trumps under his sleeve. He's shorter, has poorer coordination, poorer arsenal of punches, poorer timing, no chances. Actually neither of the two Haitians has any big chances against Kovalev, but Beterbiev certainly does.
He Has A Chance Against Kovalev As Long As He Doesn't Exchange With Kovalev
He will have to exchange, James, because Kovalev cuts the ring very well and will be relentless in pursuing Pascal, but even if Jean espaces an exchange Kovalev has a longer reach and he will land more punches.
Igor Pospekhin how many opponnets he fought with pascal quickness?
Hopkins has quick hands and Pascal is too predictable - he jumps at you and will be easy to counter
Igor Pospekhin lol Pascal is not predictable at all.. Predictable fighters are Kovalev and Stevenson who always throw the same punches..
pascals corner was bad instructions...never did they told him to switch things up , always attack and explose attack and explose....
thats true, it was more or less the old adage that if you just try harder and harder on a fruitless endeavor it would eventually turn around. and if it is an obviously fruitless endeavor as bernard began to show in the later rounds when he began to get a better sense of timing for pascal's movements and rushes, then his corner should have started advising on different movements, changing the target, dictating a different pace. but you really didn't hear much of that. the pascal plan was to simply shock bernard with a series of energy bursts during each round thinking that bernard would not be able to handle it.
His trainer sucks balls.
Pascal hits behind the head too much, with no penalty. This is not an objective ref.
this ref is bad. Terrible.
This Pascal kids frustrating.. nothing else but these lunging shots? Smh
HE CAN BEAT ADONIS STEVESON EASY BUT WARD IS A BIG ? MARK.IT WOULD BE GREAT IF HE CAN BEAT THEM BOTH
yeah he better hurry the clock is running
