He used to draw like artists when he was 15 then switched to the modern art that we are seeing.....Picasso once said..."It took me four years to paint like Raphael, but a lifetime to paint like a child."

Ordinary people always say they can draw like this, but they can't even think of an image like this Edit: Okay, for those who disagree. There is a story about Picasso where a woman asks for him to sketch her. Picasso agreed, but not before asking a million dollars."How can you ask for so much? It took you five minutes to draw this!” the woman said. And Picasso replied “No It took me 40 years to draw this in five minutes.” I agree with him. If you search for his older paintings, you'll see his style is much more realistic but as he progress, it became simpler and minimalist until he came to this. And if you might think everyone could do he did on the video, then why aren't everyone is great as he is? Why do artists like me, train and practice for months just to mimic his art style? Why do people waste millions of dollars for a painting that looks like a children's drawing? I might still agree if you say you can sketch like him, just like in the video. Because its just the initial sketch, even I can draw a gesture of a chicken or a buffalo. However, im sure an inexperienced person can't think of a meaningful and aesthetic picture as Picasso does.

Pure, honest and I would say one of the bravest artist to have ever lived. Is everything he did a masterpiece? I would say emphatically no, but look at "Guernica" and tell me it doesn't belong in the Pantheon of the greatest paintings of history. He was the Rapahel, Boticelli, Leonardo of the modern era and he kicked down the door of classicism like no other artist. In fact he blew the door off the hinges.

Loved the ways he changes the subject in his work, constantly changing his mind, such as the chicken to a demon, or a fish to a chicken. And turning a vase into a bird. I loved the goat painting, his many interpretations of it. Any one of the steps in creating this work could be a finished work. The goat painting also gives us a clue to how he arrived at some of his early Cubist paintings. This great imaginative mind. Perhaps the way all our minds should work.

Picasso was rebelling against western civilisation. Those African masks in picasso paintings was his black identity. That is when he became conscious diaspora. His name Picasso means the cunning and wise spider. In African traditional folklore, the spider is regarded as the wisest and most cunning person. Picasso name is African. Mendes Trube. .

What’s the market he’s using? It look so expensive!
I like the fish that ended up a chicken... or the horse with bull horns. But the naked man and woman rendezvous with the goat takes the cake... He (the sitting man) gets aroused at 9:55.. just look closely and you'll see... Genius. You see, with Picasso you just gotta look close.
I am endlessly unimpressed
Alguien sabe cuál es el instrumento para pintar que usa?

Picasso was rebelling against western civilisation. Those African masks in picasso paintings was his black identity. That is when he became conscious diaspora. Highest paid doodle art in history
Reminds me of Harold and the Purple Crayon.
Такие каракули каждый может рисовать. А где искусство?
L'art est dans les yeux de ceux qui admirent .
too bad there wasn't someone filming him and Braque doing their cubist or collages back in 06'. That would have been totally cool. Or better yet to have film of Rembrandt doing a portrait, or Vermeer? totally cool
dólares!
I love the video, it's preservation of the artist and living examples of his craft,.. Truly appreciate the work to create this documentary,.. I can not listen to the soundtrack. It's the most annoying accompaniment, highly distracting from what we are meant to enjoy. I take no joy in saying, I turn the volume completely down; muted. I have great love of music and feel a better choice was surely available,..
Good pecasso
