    • Crap, we hate that any non human species are in zoos and water parks, it's horrific the treatment of these whales and dolphins, they're stolen from their families and forced to eat a poor diet, be in a pen too small, their entire lives up to 59+ years, all the time being a self-aware species exactly like human species, think on that a moment. Conceit and arrogance of humans thinking any species that can not speak and live as they do is worth much less.

    • Dolphins hearing is super sensitive. They love super quiet environment. Now the music so loud is more than you put your ears close to a running motorcycle for the whole day and everyday. How do you feel? From what I know many of them living in anxiety getting sick and even commit suicide.😭

    • I also felt the same cause the oceans are already polluted and in the aquariums people take good care of them. And also for the people who are saying leve them i am not saying that just bring all in the zoo but they are here because of us cause we pollute the seas and oceans so it is probably not safe for them.

    • You can't say "us humans & the others (=animals)". We are also animals and every species is different from the others. This Beluga behaves because it gets food deprived in order to learn those tricks. Maybe it "likes" the trainer because it has no other social interaction which it needs as a highly intelligent social animal. Please inform yourself about the intelligence of animals and this industry. It's not cute, it's cruel. They slaughter dolphins and whales in Taiji because it is still profitable as long as sea worlds & other facilities like that buy dolphins and whales for their shows.

    • the "cute" tricks and the fact that a beluga has a natural smile-shaped mouth make it seem like they're not stressed. however, belugas are adapted for living in the ocean, and being kept in captivity deprives them of their natural behaviours. cetaceans are known to experience extreme stress, boredom, decreased lifespan and higher death rate in captivity. also, people get paid for capturing these belugas from their natural environment and keeping them in tiny pens (where many of them get sick or die before they are sold) until people buy them for marine parks where they will never see the ocean again. supporting these shows allows captures to continue and this trauma can affect these intelligent animals for life.

    • Please take time to watch videos of live capture of killer whales, dolphins and Beluga for the purpose of selling them to amusement parks. The process is heartbreaking and violent. Then they literally go right from their natural habitat into a pool for training. The animals you witness in all theme parks are not displaying natural behaviours, but rather are doing tricks that they have been trained to do, taking advantage of their natural abilities. They are trained to do tricks for food rewards. They need to be fed antibiotics because of the threat to their health from living in artificial environments that in no way could replicate their natural habitat. They are often given sedatives to calm their anxiety and agitation. They're all wonderful creatures and they are very cute and special to watch in shows, but a pool is not the place for a whale or dolphin that can travel 100's of miles at a time, diving deep to hunt for food. It's inhumane. And please consider how you would prefer to live. Out in the world free to wander, socialize and explore? Or trapped in your bedroom for the rest of your life with the occasional visitor blasting loud music and giving you treats if you give them a kiss on the cheek?

  • please, everyone who thinks these belugas are happy here should know it's all an illusion. their faces are always shaped like that (even dead belugas look like they're smiling) marine parks like this exploit this fact. in reality cetaceans are known to experience extreme stress, boredom, decreased lifespan and higher death rate in captivity. also, people get paid for capturing these belugas from their natural environment and keeping them in tiny pens (where many of them get sick or die before they are sold) until people buy them for marine parks where they will never see the ocean again. supporting these shows just encourages people to take more cetaceans out of the ocean to make them perform tricks for profit.

    • When animals are kept captive in artificial surroundings that could never replicate their natural environment, they are being damaged. Just because a Beluga or a dolphin have friendly faces does not mean they are liking what they are being forced to do. All of this is for OUR enjoyment, not their's. Where would you rather be, out wandering around or stuck inside your bedroom for the rest of your life with the occasional visitor (who comes along with loud, booming music)? I agree that these are beautiful, gentle and intelligent creatures and loved by their trainers. But they are not born into this world for us to steal away and force to work for their food.

  • Unlike at Seaworld, these whales look like they are actually enjoying themselves here. I went on a whale watch this past week, where we observed humpbacks along with seals and dolphins. The dolphins did most of the things you see in this video. There was one dolphin in particular who was doing huge flips and breaches. I think whales naturally enjoy showing off their athleticism, and the whales which line in/around Stellwagon Bay and other popular whale watching locations see people on boats getting excited every time they do something cool. For such socially intelligent animals that are basically legless versions of humans, it makes sense that they would enjoy our enjoyment. There is a mountain of scientific evidence that shows whales can connect with non-whales, and different whale species can connect with each other.

    • Dolphins and whales often look happy because of their anatomy. They can't stop smiling - this is not a sign of joy. This industry is brutal and the animals only do tricks because they get deprived of food or they have no other stimulation in the ting pools they live in. Please consider doing some research on this industry before you buy a ticket
