Dedicated to the memory of Dawn Brancheau . This is the previous SeaWorld Shamu show called "Believe" filmed in San Diego, California on March 3, 2009., On February 24, 2010 at SeaWorld Orlando the orca "Tilikum" drowned Dawn - an experienced female trainer as at least two dozen tourists looked on from above a whale tank and from an underwater viewing area. Following this event, trainers no longer go into the water with the orcas at SeaWorld parks shows.
I understand that people love to see them. They are powerful, intelligent, beautiful and majestic. You immediately fall in love with them. But you don’t see what happens after the show…Orcas are not made for living in these small pools!! They are born for living in the biggest oceans on earth.
The polluted, dangerous ocean.
А вы не думали что им тоже это нравится. ❤Они тоже хотят познать мир людей, это нормально, они чувствуют это, вот и отвечают взаимностью😊
@@tessdurberville711they are tortured in tiny cement pools, and die much younger than in their natural habitat. I highly recommend the book Beneath the Surface, by John Hargrove.
@@tessdurberville711humans are responsible for all their problems. The oceans are polluted from humans and then humans take them out of their homes and ship them to tanks. It doesn't really matter what you or I think. The are meant to be in the Oceans and that is where they should be. It is barbaric that humans thought this was a good idea in the first place but when money is involved that is all they see

I remember watching this as a kid in-person and thinking HOW COOL the orca show was. It was the biggest thing at SeaWorld: these ginormous beautiful creatures doing tricks. They made it seem like orcas had the intelligence/temperment of dogs. Then Blackfish came out and revealed the truth these poor slaves had to endure.
yeah, I saw this show in 2006 when I was still a little kid and it won my heart. for years, I wouldn't even refer to orcas as orcas or killer whales, they were just "shamus". I watched blackfish for the first time in my senior year of high school a few years back and it destroyed me. you start to feel guilty for even seeing them at some point, whether it was in your control or not. I spend a lot of my time now looking into more information. if anyone can stomach more hard truth, they should check out john hargrove's interviews. he was a trainer at many seaworlds and marineland for about 14 years and his insight is...harrowing.
Seriously. You worded it perfectly. They made them seem like dogs and in fact they have the human intelligence equivalent of a 15-16 year old but just don't speak English or have apposable thumbs. That and that they feel emotional hurt far more than we humans can even understand. :(
Hola buenas noches
@@hurricanelem gracias a la información
Bc a documentary is never biased. I can't take my kids to anything cool from when I was kid. Well, this show and the circus. Poor children of today.
Incredible presentation with so emotions and that dark side of captivity.
There IS no "dark side of captivity" regarding ANIMALS. Stop anthropomorphizing animals! Even the more intelligent mammals (like chimps, orangutans, dolphins, orcas, etc.) do not plan out and pursue careers, accumulate cultural knowledge and transmit it to future generations, carry out any long-term projects, etc.. They all lack the uniquely human characteristic of the CONCEPTUAL level of cognition (which involves a sophisticated level of mental abstraction and integration of perceptual impressions). They are not people! ...These mammals live in annual cycles of hunting and eating, migrating, mating, rinse-and-repeat, year-in and year-out. In captivity, they are relieved of the burden of satisfying one powerful need: the pursuit of food. Their intelligence (which they'd normally use in coordinated hunting and capturing of food) is used in learning the tricks that their trainers teach them and interacting with their human handlers in other ways. ...And, why is it that you "free the orcas!" types always omit to recall that there WAS the freeing of a captive orca: the 'Free Willy' orca, Keiko? He was a big story back in the late '90s and early 2000s. Now, he is largely forgotten. Keiko was successfully taught (by his rehabilitators) how to hunt for his food. What he wouldn't do was integrate into a pod of orcas (which would have made his survival better, since they often coordinate to hunt for their food). ...The scientists who rehabilitated Keiko KNEW that he could survive and hunt enough food, because he was of sufficient weight after his journey from Iceland (where he was freed) to Norway, where they found him hanging around the fishing village in a Norwegian fjiord. He was able to eat enough on his ocean journey. However, he was back among humans within a couple of months of being "freed". He preferred human companionship over joining any pod of wild orcas. And, that's all that would happen if you were to free THESE orcas. (They'd just come into harbors and hang around with humans. ...They would actually be safer in those tanks in random harbors.)
@@MrJm323 Dark side of captivity, i mean that depression, anger which very intelligent mammals have .. so like orcas. So its dark side of captivity because they are more often in that wrong mind state and they can kill you easily. No word about setting them free" from my side. We should avoid to catch these mammals in terms of joy and earning money.

Only animal lovers can understand that because we dream of interacting with such beautiful creatures😂.... But the fact that they are captivated and starving (you can see their crazy desires to be fed) is heartbreaking....
I see no beauty in this .... if they turned the music off and no one was there you would feel differently. The power of music can make anything beautiful but it's a mask .... Orca's do not belong in tanks with humans riding them. It's actually ridiculous when you really think about it.

@@sweetswirl they are abused and denied their natural habitats these wild animals need to roam the oceans not tiny pools
@Noor Fatima Shahid If you look you can see that some of the orcas dorsal fins are curved. Curved fins on orcas means they don’t have the right diet and could be given bad fish, it’s also from sadness (yes they can actually be sad orcas actually have emotions just like dolphins etc.) it’s also from not enough swimming space. It’s not just a cute “Aw look at his fin it’s curved!” no. It’s a bad thing. And most people already know that SeaWorld abuses their animals and other places too. Some other places might be nice to them, but none of it is healthy for the orcas at all. They need a lot more water than the small pools. They live in the ocean with much more freedom. At SeaWorld the only reasons they do these shows is for food, otherwise they might not get fed...

I'm honestly baffled trainers were allowed to swim in the tanks with the Whales in the first place, it's a huge recipe for disaster and really scary
At least 170 orcas have died in captivity, not including 30 miscarried or still-born calves. SeaWorld holds 19 orcas in its three parks in the United States. At least forty-three orcas have died at SeaWorld.
😡!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And how many die daily in the wild?
Now they have 18 and when the 18 are gone there will be no more capitive Orcas in the United States!
70% of this planet covered with water. Imagine this wild creature which supposed to live in that 70% have to live in that tiny lil pool.
It's not even that. Because they won't explore even 99% of that water during their lifetime. The cruel part is that they mostly swim very deep in the ocean yet here they are confined to relatively shallow pools.
I can truly say I have never had a desire to see this sort of show. Even as a child we never would go to attractions like this. Flash forward a few decades and my husband and I had an opportunity to take a boat ride down to San Juan island off the coast of Vancouver. There we got to witness the real life of ocras in the wild. Everyone needs to see this and they would stop giving these parks their money.
Not everyone is as RICH as you and your husband. LOWER middle class people (and middle class people with young children in tow) will want to go to these marine parks, zoos, and circuses to see the exotic animals which the smug rich go on safaris and boat excursions to see. They have a limited amount of time and money and this is where they can go. (...And, they will see far more of the orcas than you will, out at sea, anyway. They have viewing windows into the tanks when they go below.)
@@MrJm323 you can still see them on TV if you are curious.
@@MrJm323 Ridiculous. I don’t have money to take my kids on a expensive boat trip to watch orcas but taking them to SeaWorld would never cross my mind. This is not the way to teach children about animal conservation. This only teaches them that magnificent and highly intelligent creatures like orcas can be treated merely as pets to entertain people. Children should respect wildlife and the only way to teach them the values of conservation is by doing it in the respectful way. It’s stupid to think everyone “deserves” to see orcas so Seaworld should keep torturing them cause I don’t have the money to see them in the wild?!? Ridiculous. Take your kids to the forest and watch the wild birds, snorkel with them next time when at the beach to sea the beautiful underwater world, show them David’s Attenborough movies. This has more value than a visit to Seaworld and allows children to learn and experience wild animals and beauty of nature. Tickets to Seaworld are extremely expensive by the way. For the same price, when at the seaside, you can go for a short boat trip to watch animals like dolphins in their natural environment.

OF THE SEA WHERE THEY SHOULD BE. FREEDOM. BIG OPEN OCEANS VS LITTLE POOLS
Seriously, just think about it for a minute and realize how harsh that is. It's not like you're keeping a hyperactive dog indoors. It's an animal that lives in the vastness of the ocean and moves around in a way that humans can't imagine, and an aquarium of that size is the human equivalent of being locked in a one-square-foot cell for the rest of your life.
They still should be in the ocean swimming without a worry in the wild. Then there came human greed.
I remember when I was in kindergarten, my parents took me and my brother to Orlando for summer vacation. the day we went to seaworld, it was sickenly hot. at the time I couldn't pronounce shamu so I ended up saying shampoo. I remember how special I felt when I was picked by one of the trainers to stand on that blue platform on the stage with them and meet the orcas. my little mind was too pure and young to understand what was really happening. I was lucky. I got to meet a handsome large male whose name I can't remember. I so simply called him shamu. I can still remember how his shiny black and white head felt when I related my hand on it. it felt wet and cool in the cruel heat. when I put my hand on his head, I felt safe and at home. when I had arrived at the show with my family, I had looked through the glass walls of the case and cried out in fear when I saw the huge orcas in the deep tank. I was so small at the time, just learning to swim, and the thought of the deep tank with huge creatures lurking within frightened me. but after I met shamu, I was no longer afraid. when I left the stage, my dad scooped me up, for he had stood nearby, waiting for me. I was so happy. my dad bought me a shamu plushiest and a shamu Lego set before we went to our hotel room. those were such happy moments. I am 13 now, and I am wiser. what were once happy memories of Orlando are now tinted with the harsh reality that my joy in that moment was only helping shame's misery. I sometimes dream of being in the seaworld tank, swimming with tilikum and dawn brancheau, one hand holding onto tilikum dorsal fin, the other holding dawn's hand. I always look at dawn and see a smile on her face. and when I look away from her face, I am no longer in seaworld, yet I am still holding onto dawn and her beloved tilikum. and then I realize that we are in the ocean.surrounded by every orca from seaworld. suddenly I let go and begin crying. dawn hugs me and she starts to tell me something, that's when I always wake up. its my favorite dream
Ahsoka Tano When I was like 4 I went to sea world, I loved it sooooo much and even wanted to work there! But now I am older I understand what's happening and the cruel reality about how these animals are treated.
LUCKY i wasnt old enough to even go to seaworld
All these lies you're telling 😂 smh
Nice story
My man just wrote a little book
The show is spectacular and what these orcas (the largest dolphins I just learned and not actually whale's) and trainers can do is phenomenal. But just because something can be done doesn't mean it should be done. It's actually heartbreaking to see these magnificent, superior beings doing these tricks and stunts for a meager handful of dead fish. They have no choice but to be there, but they deserve to be free and in their natural habitat, as do all wild animals. The psychological damage caused by captivity is unethical and unacceptable.
I don't see any psychological damage done to these whales. Have you seen any behind the scenes footage, ever? They're completely fine, unlike many other orcas at aquariums that couldn't care less about them. Also, they don't do tricks for fish. They will get fed regardless of their perfomance. Also, considering what happened to the last captive orca that was released... it's a very, VERY bad idea to release them. Sorry, I don't want to see them dead or actually stressed out
@メKawaiiYanderleeメ yes I saw footage on Inside the Tanks, Voiceless and Blackfish about the suffering. It stands to reason that they wouldn't be happy. They are confined to a space equivalent to a drop in the ocean, the place they should be. They are not with their pods, who, ordinarily, they would spend their entire lives with. They are highly social and intelligent and have their own cultures and languages. They are apex predators. Doing tricks for dead food day after day, year after year, being separated from their young, being placed in unnatural 'pods' etc would be depressing. And they don't get fed when they perform 'badly' or incorrectly. The day DB died Tilikum had incorrectly swum twice around the tank instead of once and food was withheld. I did see what happened with Keiko, but what is very, VERY BAD is capturing them in the first place for people's entertainment or financial gain etc

The greatest orca show. It’s a shame they don’t do them like this anymore, with the people in the water
the trainers were killed, they cant be in the water anymore. The animals are too unpredictable.
They need more practice and confidence. Something very difficult to get at Seaworld. For everyone's safety, it is best that they do not return to the water.
unless u want to see someone end up disembodied then lets not say that. The autopsy reports from the people who were killed by the orcas was absolutely gut wrenching. from scalped to body parts torn and guts everywhere its disturbing
I agree. It was a once in a lifetime show to see. I still feel like that little girl wanting to be a shamu trainer at the age of 6 in 2010 ❤️
@@LilyHollister One trainer in 60 years is a very good record. More people die from dog bites EVERY year. Some, from their own dogs.
Could you imagine the emontions the trainer feels?...I guess its the mother in me,,,We raise Train, and guide or little ones they grow we catch feelings and they are in the big bad world we live in..Life is amazing..Be blessed
This music that they are playing during the show was meant for when they get released into the wild, not for performances!

Absolutely
They would die if released
I can’t even watch this whole thing it breaks my heart 😢
omg this was emotional to watch ❤️ rest in peace sweet babies
damn the nostalgia hits hard.. I still remember when my parents took me to sea world back in 2011. Man the memories were amazing. I gotta thank these orcas

I feel bad they hear that music over and over and over...it must be maddening for them.
I was bored of the music while watching it. They should really juggle up some things
I haven’t been to sea world since I seen black fish when it first aired. But I enjoyed this show as a kid
But you let a propaganda film change your mind.
I haven't cried so hard in my life than I have seeing them being held against their will just to profit their pockets,This breaks my heart so bad for these whales.STOP AND LET THEM GO THIS IS CRUEL
If you release those Orcas into the wild, many of whom have been in captivity since birth, would have no earthly idea what to do in the wild, how to hunt, etc. Furthermore, the males suffer from collapsed dorsal fins and are integral to a Orca's survival in the wild. They would be as useful as your dog in the wild. What a shame though
YEs indeed. These magnificent animals deserve to live where they belong, not for human entertainment. They live lives of depression anxiety and suffering in captivity. Watch the movie BLACKFISH
@@vtjake3761 Agreed, the theory would be a sea pen where they at least have some more room, but honestly, they are too intelligent to not get mental stimulation like from the shows. Its a shame that generations of orcas will never get to live the way they are supposed to because of people :(
What about pets? Is it not cruel to have pets? What about that chicken dinner you had last night, how you think k that got on your plate? What about the innocent insects you have killed throughout your life, do they not matter?
@@05DonnieBoh my God I found a vegan Karen! Woooww! The difference is that chickens are food, and it isn't live a life in misery as the orcas (who are way smarter than chickens) are. These orcas are pretty much slaves. And you are complaining about dogs and cats, who are DOMESTICATED unlike orcas who are wild animals.
Why did i cry to watch this 😭😭😭
shinta alexandria cause sea world is evil
Because it’s cruel and sad.
Because it's a magical and rare sight to behold. These shows were other worldly 🥰😭❤️❤️
0:19 look closely at the fin of that orca swimming behind, the orcas the fins so they only have them when they are sad and would like to go into the ocean, poor people are locked in that basin of water where they make them swim ..... (sorry if the grammar is not great but I am Italian, but I still wanted to write this comment in English, so that everyone can read it and understand it...)
Yes, the males all have floppy fins from collagen breakdown from warm water and water pressure not being able to keep it straight.
Понравились экраны телевизоров,они подобно дельфинам выполняют всевозможные трюки,я такого никогда не видела в своей жизни....Браво!Благодарна от всей души за прекрасное шоу и видео!
this breaks my heart💔
For what 🙄
Geez blackfish dummies
I don’t see why
10:04 the lyrics: "Every creature, dancing the oceans.." Irony, anyone?
Raph Ael very ironic
Зрелище великолепное, трогает до слез! 👏👏👏Проделана огромная работа! Но животных( какие же они умные!!!) очень жаль 😢
It's all about money!! These animals are intelligent creatures and should be left in the OCEAN!!!
Не переживайте так! Всё хорошо!
Sea world isn’t good- but the trainers ARENT abusive. They love the animals with all they got. And if the orcas don’t do these shows they simply don’t get enough exercise in their small tanks
Have to agree with you there. The trainers try everything they can to keep the orca's healthy and they take care of them with everything they've got. It's Seaworld who's got control of these animals and they aren't treating them right. The trainer's aren't the problem.
Also, people don't even realise that a lot of the behaviours they do in the show are things they do in nature as well. The number of people who have extremely strong opinions on orca captivity while not knowing much about them at all is ridiculous.
I agree that these orcas should be in the wild, but regardless, it's amazing how SeaWorld's trainers are able to make such a show out of these beautiful creatures!
But what a price...
At a deniable price, the death of innocent creatures.
One fateful day Tilikum did the show HIS way.
Just the 'show's music' itself is inhumane. I'm so glad my parents never took me to see this!
Still heartbreaking in every way !!!
Seaworld swears that kids are born destined to be orca trainers that clip with that kid in the beginning is so extra 🤣🤣
I swearrr
Why we humans are so greedy? Why we can’t let other species live in their own way? No other species come to force us to entertain them. Can’t we make money without spoiling other’s life? Please let them live where they should belong. Why Hollywood makes movies about FREEDOM using captivity? These countries are belong to first world and 100% literacy. Once human freedom was under control and now animals are the targets...i was watching these videos and really feeling sad for these poor species...God please save them.
keep supporting Hollywood

After watching documentary blackfish, I was crying all night long, didn’t sleep well, because I still think of them
good show
Orcas are the top most predators in the world , sucks to see them being treated as laughing joke
Not just because of laughing jokes of course good and bad still exist that’s why they try to protect themselves.... they belong to the wild it’s really sad to see these beautiful creatures being captive and separated from their freedom just for entertainment
Collapsed dorsal fins means that the orca is extremely stressed.
hong honk and unhealthy
no you believe a lie there is no bone in teh fin
@@badmingtonsunset1386 haha big dumb
BadmingtonSunset no. Your wrong do you know anything about these orcas in captivity??
Lmao y’all, the collapse dorsal fin means nothing, it doesn’t affect the whales health or mental health, y’all calling sunset dumb when you guys really are
Яка краса, зачаровує і перехоплює дух від задоволення. Дякую усім за це чудове відео.Миру усім добрим людям і країнам!!!
Does someone remember the Free Willy Movie? Willy was very sad when he was emprisioned in such a pool - he missed his family and the ocean. The real happy end was when Willy was finally liberated. In this video, stupid monkeys watch sad Willies doing things they were trained for. Good for Sea World is that Willies always look happy - no matter whether they are emprisioned or not...
His real name was kieko he lived out his final days where he should had been decades ago.
People acting like this is cruel they get good treatment and if they weren’t they wouldn’t do it and would fight they are very intelligent and love their trainers you need to understand that
I do think they did love their trainers and orcas can bond with humans like nearly any animal can. They also can get frustrated and this is where it becomes a problem. They are so smart but it does hurt to see that this was all we had to offer them.
I have seen this show before black fish shows what truly happens to the orca’s and although I loved it at the time and even did the dine with shamu I now feel guilty that I ever went to sea world
Don't feel guilty. You know now. Pre blackfish seaworld did good at keeping everything hidden. If you see it past 2013/Blackfish, then that would be cause for guilt.
I really love this one ❤
I was lucky enough go to this exact show as a kid with my parents. I didn't know how cruel it was back then, but the memory of seeing an orca live doing tricks is great.
Daran ist nichts toll, diese Tiere gehören in Freiheit und nicht mit fremden ihrer Artgenossen eingesperrt. Sie können teils nicht untereinander kommunizieren aufgrund der Dialekte und Sprachen.
Absolutely. The only Orca shows that should exist are in whale watching tours. What's hilarious is that many of these whale watching tours will have orcas who will volunteer to be part "the show". They stay in the area where the boats come and will do funny stuff like leaping out of the water, and splashing the boats with their tails. They do it for fun and most importantly BY CHOICE.
2016 and we still have circus shows like Seaworld.
Klate Wilson 2018 now so sad 😞 slavery ended a long time ago time to end this slavery we need to be the voice for the voiceless!!
2018 And your still hating
Lol, These animals would most likely die now if released into the wild, they have already banned breeding of them and capturing them so these will be the last and only wales in captivity in western countries atleast im not sure of the international law!
Dan James I’m not saying to realise them into the wild they could be released into sea pens where they could live there lives in the natural sea water and not confined into small pens. Yes they have ended there breeding program but these whales live for years so sea world will still have whales to enslave for human entertainment. Sea world doesn’t have to close they can become an aquarium and also a rescue , rehabilitation and release centre for injured dolphins and whales and other aquatic animals people can still come visit but the animals don’t have to perform that would be a lot better
Fleur Taylor04 Slavery did not end and it never will on this planet, it still goes on in many parts of the world for sure maybe even America. Please don’t be so closed minded with comments as such.
I remember these shows :,(
David López aw. I miss them too. Bring them back.
Incredible
Русские, между прочем с вами! И так же восхищаются этими великолепными созданиями! Храни Господь тех, кому ещё есть дело заботится о них!!!
The Russian are still capturing them from the wild. The new aquariums in China are stocked with Russian caught orcas. The U S. has not taken an orca from the wild in over 35 years.
The female trainer at 10:51 was eaten by one of the orcas her name is Don, and that was the reason they made the documentary "Blackfish" ... for those who haven't watched it yet, you may want to check it out. You also need to think twice if you are OK with imprisoning these creatures. Orcas in the wild have an average life expectancy of 60 to 70 years for males and 80 to over 100 for females. The average age of death for orcas who have died at SeaWorld is 13 years old. In the wild, despite centuries of sharing the ocean, there has been only a single reliable report of an orca harming a human being. Because of the stress involved in being deprived of everything that is natural and important to orcas in captivity, orcas have attacked and killed three humans just since 1991 and many others have been injured. An orca called Tillikum have killed and injured over 80 person during in its life in the SeaWorld. It is just Sad, so sad.
Yougilla Studios wrong tillikun cam from Canada where he had been abused sea world never abused him
First of all Tilikum came from a park in canada and second of all dawn and tilikum were at orlando and this is san diego
THANK YOU! 💗
her name was dawn brancheau, wasn‘t it? but you‘re right, blackfish is the best way to understand what is going on for real
Nymphadoral Tonks blackfish is a bunch of lies and propaganda. Most of the “trainers” haven’t even worked at seaworld.
Sea world shows are great but it's cruel to ceep magnificent creatures like these in just a small tank when they should be out in the wide incredible ocean
Cocky Sparkle Hence the shows are not great. They’re sad and pathetic.
I started balling my eyes out when i saw that little boy!😭
Right!? ❤❤
As a Puget Sound resident, it is heartbreaking that this still goes on.
The whales are well cared for there. I think it’s great.
The whales have a WAY better life then a wrongful convicted prisoner in a 5 x 5 cell 23 hrs a day. Wouldn't you say?
@@peanutbutterandjellyy I'd agree if that were true, but it's most certainly not. Seaworld in controversial for their care of the orcas
@@brittanybradford9239horrible comparison. Orcas are 30 feet long and swim hundreds of miles every day. Humans are on average 5-6 feet tall and are fine with not moving around much
@@peanutbutterandjellyythen why do they die so early, why do their calves get taken from them, why do they attack and kill their trainers? They don't do that in the wild. They are treated horribly
This breaks my heart. This isn't entertainment. This is exploitation and complete disregard and lack of respect for these Orcas. I have seen Orcas in the wild and they are beautiful and amazing which makes shows like this even more cringeworthy. Wish they would permanently shut down places like this.
i dont see the whale complaining lol but in all seriousness its like having a dog dude if u treat it right they cool with u and as u can see and as far as i can see they cool with it lol
Idk much about this show, but most of the shows fund many scientific research that’s essential for the conservation of these animals.... and some animals are rescued animals or not ready for their natural habitat due to various reasons, these shows are essential to keep these organizations running.....
Nothing like having a dog, watch blackfish the documentary
Nah im good
@@Pasinduhs There are better ways to fund research.
You can't blame the workers at SeaWorld. It was just a job for them. Blame the people who captured them.
And those who pay to watch these amazing creatures in captivity
But they contribute by working there! How naive do you have to be to think THIS is better than the wild? So they are all brainwashed by SeaWorld into thinking they’re helping these whales?! Gimme a break. Disgusting and anyone who goes there, works there, owns it, etc. is contributing to this nonsense. They aren’t here for our entertainment.
@@sugaredviolets2085 trainers are also their caregivers. Do you honestly believe that if trainers just got up and left one day, Sea Worl would release the Orcas into the wild? No. They will find new trainers. These Orcas have spent the majority of their lives in captivity now, it would be very risky to release them. The least they could do is stop all breeding programs and gradually close all Orcas shows. But on the other hand, that would make them too expensive to keep and properly cared for. Where money and business are present it is always ugly.
The only one captured in seaworld san diego was corky but that was back in the 90s
R.I.P Dawn Brancheau.
I know people hated this but it was truely magical to see humans and orcas swimming together like that
who said they hate Orcas. ???
@@muntazirkhan9821 they didn’t hate orcas they hated they are in a pool..
Orcas well done by paus swimming?
Agreed. It’s fascinates me watching these shows. I went to sea world Orlando when I was like 15 and it amazed me how they can train these whales to do such amazing tricks and swim together .. they def are amazing animals
@@stacibabyyyx6268 I’ve been to Seaworld, it’s EXPENSIVE to make these huge pools for them. They have 24/7 Veterinary care. There are medical pools and there’s different pools all over the park for them that people don’t see. They keep them really active with the shows and they said that not every show is the same that they switch things up so the whales don’t get bored. I watched Seaworld behind the scenes Dawn was in it but the work and LOVE that goes into these Whales and dolphins it’s just through the roof. I went to Miami Seaquarium to see Lollita the killer whale she’s 54 years old and lives in the smallest tank in the world. She only does like a 10 minute show two times a day three times a week but it must be really depressing to be in a 30 foot pool. I’m sure you saw the movie free Willy. Due to peoples outrage they released him it was a $20 million project that failed, they let him loose in Iceland, he traveled 900 miles to find human companionship in Norway. He saw Whales but didn’t want anything to do with them, he followed boats, showing up in peoples beachfront backyards. I’m sure he kind of felt confused and abandoned. He couldn’t find food so a lot of people won’t tell you this but this is what really happened he died of starvation, loneliness, pneumonia. After 25 years in captivity he was used to the love of humans, being fed by humans, his body also adapted to the chlorinated pool, Which was a different temperature than Iceland and I’m sure that’s why he got sick he died 4 months after being “freed” So people need to chill out with releasing the Orcas, the violent ones Are the ones that would probably have to go to a sea pen by the ocean but that’s even risky. There Phasing out orcas and sea world and there is no more breeding so this will be the last of its kind and now I would say maybe 30 or 40 years from now sea world would be shut down because people come to see the killer whales. But nothing was more magical than believe, They are so smart! They hear the music and never miss a beat, One of the trainers said they picked up all the training in less than a month, as a human I couldn’t learn all that in a year LOL
Having watched afew stories on this, i have to say i'm amazed and saddened and horrified that the workers at Sea World behaved as if they actually believed these creatures loved them...fatal error. And , in the end, a misunderstanding of these creatures completely. Oh foolish mankind. 😖
😖
from one apex predator to another, we need to respect the orcas, not cage them. they say there are no recorded orca attacks on humans in the wild. do you think they recognize and respect us? i'm sure most of them see us all the time on our boats, ships etc, they know what we are capable of
I was here and it was really hard for me to watch these animals. I think they should be in the ocean.
Exactly a decade ago, I thought it was cute (I'm an animal lover and the fact of seing whales so close is amazing). But now, I felt my heart breaking while watching this 😭 We hate the obligation of being in quarantine but we do it for our good. However, these beautiful creatures are captivated, not being able to swim with freedom... all because of a show...
Also, I was a kid by that time and didn't know nor noticed they starve them 💔
Hillary C. I was also a kid so I didn't know what they were doing to them.🥺
SeaWorld old Shamu show look amazing PLACE and beautiful show Thanks for great sharing
What's sad more then anything about seeing this is how many adults are actually there. Adults should know that this is wrong, especially when this took place. It's been all over the internet as long as I can remember.
but better than the violent programs on internet...what about in the past wr error when we used horses in wars in transporting heavy stones and horses before their addomestication were free animals and they suffered a lot of the human beings are still using horses for races and games why are you protesting too?? Sure these whales belong to the sea but it seems that they are happy surly they need the sea and we could fine a solution for them. what do you think????
@@mariawolf5843because the horses are domesticated, and actually live a nice life. These orcas don't. Big difference
