  • I've just updated my Z9 to version 4..0 software and can't wait to learn and master the ultimate power of this camera. So many tools to master. The one thing I will struggle with is leaving my Z9 alone outdoors. I would be crushed to have some 2 legged or 4 legged creature walk off with it. Your videos inspire.

    • The Z9 was unfortunately not on the tripod when Morten returned the next morning. But at least the thief managed to check the memory card, and win an international Photo Competition with the capture of a Beech Marten jumping in mid air above a tree branch.

    • That is a concern. Those who do camera trapping go to great lengths to set up away from where others might go and to disguise the camera.

  • It is so nice to be back and seeing where you are at with your work. I will definitely have to travel over there and see the world on my own terms and not the military terms. I am so excited to watch your work and see all the things you get. I had watched some of your older videos of photography out in Norway and love your work my friend. Life is special and everything you do is magical in its own way. Keep it up my friend!

  • Up to this day I had not seriously considered owning a second Z9. One was plenty for the part-time photographic work I do, but after this firmware 4.0 update I may need to reconsider. There’s so many possibilities which come to mind if I can automate photography and more important videography in this way. Thank you for the demonstration. It’s always helpful to see how the camera behaves in the real world.

  • I'm always enjoying seeing you sitting in the darkness, in the small tent, waiting, hunting, whispering into the camera, and taking these images by yourself. This AI kinda firmware upgrade will be popular for sure and some ppl here are excited to see your camera shooting the photographs without you, but, real photography always had several components - and two main components - are the subject and the photographer. not his gear, fast finger, or capacious memory cards, but the photographer's passion, his/her patience, and dedication. I never was a fan of animals or bird photographers, but I followed your channel for years because of your wonderful trips and the walks in the forests around your house. And my favorite episode always will be your first ever bread made by you in the middle of the forest, but not this magic auto shutter :-)

    • i totally agree, as a photographer one will definately put their passion and skill to capture subject by himeslf, i think this video was just for showing auto capture feature, but real world each moment matters in nature, so i will prefer shooting by myself and not wasting shutter actuations of my camera on auto capture technology and filling my memory cards and hard drives and wasting time around it. all that matters is one perfect photo

    • @@souvenirshutterphotography4037 Absolutely agree. And after all what is our role if we can sit and wait when our cameras finish the "job". I understand that only my personal feelings and many photographers do wait for these auto features. I came to photography with the goal to do everything by my hands. No matter with a digital or film camera.

  • hang a single feather up by a string or light fishing line so it can be seen from far enough and moves in the slightest breeze but also keep in mind the possible directions paths that the predator will take. This works for most any, but it's an age old method for fox, coyote, etc. as they cannot resist checking out the feather. Like if there's natural game path just hang it along that as an attractant. oh yeah and I can't wait to try this with the hummers on the feeder, no more needing to be there with a remote or a blind...
