Imo the most convincing argument about Lolita Goth comes from AlexPlaysSims, the tumblr user that “solved” Bella’s disappearance - Alexander grew up to be a time traveler, him and his wife (Lolita) traveled back to TS3 (where his name appears as the author of Murder in Pleasantview), the time machine broke and Lolita died trying to repair it (hence death by electrocution), and Alexander buried her in the family graveyard. Explains how she could be a Goth without any known relation to the others, she doesn’t exist in this timeline yet…
The Goth family also has Minerva Goth whose body is buried in Midnight Hollow. And Alexander Goth allegedly is a time traveler who wrote Murder in Pleasantview and Baron Graff Van Gould.
Hmm connections maybe to Van Gould family too . I mean the goth and landgraab rivalry sounds similar to the Van Gould and wolf as of who founded the town .

It's weird because it's still kind of there. In at least the promotional yearbook photos for High School Years pack, it alludes that Mortimer and Nancy may have been exes and Bella rubs that in with her yearbook quote "I haven't met a blonde who's had more fun than me".

I am convinced Lolita is Alexanders wife from the future. Alexander wanted to solve the mystery of his mothers disappearance so he borrowed a time machine (either from his father or his sister, both are scientist) and went back with his wife to find out what happened. The problem is, the time machine broke and they went too far back. Lolita died from electrocution, as a result, and Alexander was left to write books about his mothers disappearance in order to prevent it.

Let me tell you, you were talking about Lolita and how she was flirty and mysterious etc. etc. and I remembered about Addams Family Values. We all know the Goths are inspired on them, of course, since the very beginning, and maybe Lolita was a throwback to Debbie, the psychopath who seduced, married and tried to kill Uncle Fester? She *is* buried in the Adams family cemetery, her epitaph reading "Wife & Psycho". So maybe Lolita tried to seduce one of the Goth men for possibly evil reasons (possibly even Gunther) and ended up dying? For me it makes tons of sense.

I really wish sims 4 wasn't an 'alternative universe', it stops the lore dead in its tracks. All these small details about passed family members are really intriguing. Also, when are you doing another cosplay video?
I hope they make an expension pack where we can see more of the original timeline. If the canon has time travel (TS2 Don goes to TS3 timeline) then they can travel between universes. Or they make TS5 fit into the original timeline.
i think the reason why they did an “alternative universe” is cause they’re hella lazy 🤷♀️ instead of giving the people what they want, they half ass it. nothing unusual for sims 4 ofc

Even though it's an alternate universe, I like to imagine that the family tree is mostly unchanged. Whenever I have a save where I allow Alexander to age up and have a family of his own, I almost always name his kids Cornelia or Gunther.
the only good thing the sims 4 gives us about the goths is the illusion they're a perfect couple so I can pretend they're the Addams
Just to remind something that no one talks about: Actually Don is older than Cassandra because Don was already an adult before Bella disappeared while Cassandra was still a teenager and she was the last that aged up after Mortimer and Alexander ages up. I know that in game she looks older than Don but that could be because she also wore dark makeup and dark clothes so makes totally sense that she will look older.
And Alexander is actually older than the Pleasant twins, as he was born when Cassandra and Mary-Sue were teenagers. But in-game he’s a child while the Pleasant twins are teenagers. Age continuity is a mess in Sims 2 xD

12:26 Actually the intended play order for the scripted events is that you play Don's Household first, then the Goth's, so when you play as Don, Both Cassandra's & Don's Long Term Relationship with each other raises during the night at Don's causing Don to accept the marriage when you play the Goth's if following the scripted events, you also performed a romantic interaction
That is not entirely true, as if you play just the scripted events, yes you are correct about the order but you have to have Cassandra choose the arch meaning she would be the one wanting the wedding and her love for Don is never in question. It is Don's loyalties that are an issue. If you don't do any interaction between Cassandra and Don before clicking the arch then Don will always leave Cassandra at the altar as shown in the cutscene with his shaking hands. If you do even one romantic interaction before that, then, 90)% of the time, they do actually get married.
@@MHruskamusic Yes, that's why I mentioned if you were to be following the scripted events, as the game does guide you towards performing a romantic gesture before getting married, but your right that Don mostly won't accept if they straight up get married immediately after playing

Always love love love the Goth's but people tend to forget that Gunther and Cornelia Goth are in the Sims 1 Unleashed, and they have 2 siamese cats that are very sweet. I don't remember if it added any lore to the game but I loved the old couple so much, probably one of the premades I played with the most in the sims 1.
Since the Agnes & Cornelia connection has come to light, I've liked to believe that, had Agnes been the Crumplebottom relative featured heavily in TS2 (since the Mrs. Crumplebottom there is a distant relative to Agnes), she would've had a HUGE vendetta against Don Lothario. The Crumplebottoms are already known to have it in for flirty sims & yes, her TS3 bio states that even tho she's still close with her sister, she's not that close to her brother-in-law or nephew...but just the same. I think the familial connection of her being Cassandra's great-aunt would give her the perfect excuse to bean Don that much harder with her handbag for leaving Cass at the altar XD

No matter how many times I play, I can never get Don to leave Cassandra at the alter. Even when I make them fight before the wedding they still tie the knot. I love these History Of vids!
From my understanding, he only leaves her if u ignore the scripted events and just marry them right away when you enter the household

I've had to restart my game several times and wanted something new, looked it up, and then did everything I could to get him to leave her at the alter. They even fell out of love and yet he still married her. Lol, I think I have a glitched game.

i think timaeus is much like lolita in that we know they're a close relative somewhere but exactly where is unknown. I usually chalk him down as either cassandra or alexanders kid because its the easiest fit lol

I love how the first 3 sims games had this massive lore with all the iconic families and then in the sims 4 it's just like "Oh yeah, you got cheese hair caliente and sure, why not add the goths they where popular with the sims community"
There is a kind of theory i heard about Lolita (not sure how true it is) but some have said she was Gunther's first wife who died of electrocution, which is why there are no electronics in their house, as well as why her ghost will try flirt with Gunther. Also, the relationship between Cornelia and Gunther isn't that great at the start of the game suggesting that there is something that causes tension between them despite the "perfect" outward appearance - it could be the presence of Lolita's grave. Then there's the literary reference of Lolita who was in love with her older professor - it is somewhat disturbing but also plausible. And would make sense why she isn't in the family tree after Gunther marries Cornelia.
Dina is iconic. Get that bread, get that head, then leave. Peace out.

Speaking of the Landgraabs, my Sims 3 series (PS3) features the brother of Malcolm Landgraab, his kids and grandkids. In my story, Malcolm stole his brother's inheritance, so the family has to create their own wealth.

It’s speculated that Lolita is the daughter of Samuel and Olivia Goth, but that the rest of the family was disgusted that Samuel would have a disgusted with another woman of a lower class (speculated this may have been part of the reason of marriage), and why she doesn’t actually show up in any of the family trees. However I’m unsure how she ended up in Sunset Valley.
