Katara’s temper was more accurate on the auditions than on the final show. That just shows that it was the directors and script that toned her down

I actualy think it's better this way the original series took place in one year That's impossible to adapt into live action Having everyone look older makes it feel like they are growing up on screen And also will male Aang and Kataras kiss look less awkward if they do that

Gordon was born to be an Aang. Dallas embodies Zuko so well. Ian is effortlessly being Sokka. Kia got the strong personality like Katara. Whatever others say, they were casted perfectly. They'll be even better in season 2 and 3 for sure!!!

Kia sucks and Gordon is perfect physically embodying Aang but his line delivery needs A LOT of work. Dallas and Ian are great.

@@TheTanakaMiyuki I really hate saying this because she seems like a really sweet girl- but no she can't act. You can tell even from her casting videos. Will she get better? Undoubtedly. Child actors will naturally take a little longer to get acclimated and I expect she will be significantly better written and acted next season, but as for right now, she is easily the worst part of this show.

Gordon was wearing an orange sweater which is the color of Aang's custome, he destined to be AANG! Stars on the universe aligned on him.
I noticed that too from the 1st audition video they release! And I thought the same. To think Gordon had no idea about the role he was auditioning for. Goosebumps

So proud of Gordon he became Avatar at the Age of 12. Can't wait to watch him growing as Avatar like how stranger things casts from kid's to adult

The cast is so likeable. All four of them seem like really cool and talented people... I wish I felt the same way about the series...
I liked the series, it had some chances but hey so did the One Piece live action and most people loved that one. Also my first exposition to Avatar was the movie, and I didn't like that one that much, and only checked the animated series after. So compared with that movie, the series were more entertaining to watch
@@symphonixblades Yeah me too. I don't get what's wrong with people, if you want to watch an exact replica of the animated series, watch the animated series. Most of the changes haven't even been changes, more swaps or alternatives, perfectly in keeping with the original series.
@@foldedmind3298 it's not about wanting it to be exactly the same. But it was too rushed. It feels like season 7 of GoT, incredible visuals but the story & characters were not given proper time to develop so most of the emotional moments felt flat.

I hope for next season they: 1. Improve the story telling from the first one 2. The improve the dialog (first season was Bad) 3. The actors improve their martial arts (I think S1 had too many tight shots, shaky camera and quick cuts that may be in part attributed to this) With that and an overhaul on Katara (dialog and personality to be more like the animated show) S2 could be much better than S2. If they don't do this I don't se us getting a S3
2 and 3 are both being filmed, they have to or else Aangs actor will have aged too much. The moneys already been spent, so we are getting all 3 seasons.
I'm a fan of this live action. I enjoyed it so much. Characters are great. Perfect Aang. I also like Katara and Sokka. Zuko just a bit coz he's villain. 😂

I love this cast. I LOVE THEM. PLEASE make the second season better, ugh the writing was SO bad. I rage watched season one only because I love the cast so much! I couldn't stand the writing/story choices. It was so bad. (If I get into it we will be here all day). The Cast & Visuals were dope though. OMG Ian (Sokka) getting emotional makes me cry every time. We all love the original so much- to see that it had such an effect on him and he gets to be a part of it warms my heart!

because that's what actors do. you audition for what you can and sometimes the universe lines up.
