A German living in the UK, when I arrived in Chennai for the very first time, my first meal was dosa with sambar and coconut chutney. I was half dead from travel and jetlag and it was the most delicious food I have had. It will always have a special place in my heart. 😍😋😍

Beef is not controversial in south india...and beef is one of the famous dish in Kerela and as well as in Chennai...There is a locality called "Dhashamakan" near Strahans Road in Chennai and it was called as a beef paradise, as i recommend you to try it over there
don't say south india. south india is not only Kerala and Chennai !! we are also from south india and never seen people eat or anywhere beef is served !!

@@bhargav38 well you're blind then...it is famous all over Chennai, it is becoming very common in the last 5 years...there's a lot of restaurants started adding beef briyani and chukka on their menu especially the street cart hotels...not just at Dhashamakan moreover in the streets of mannadi especially during Iftar the road full of street food shops selling beef as well along with chicken and mutton and there's a lot of hotels in triplicane and Roypuram regions where beef is found
Sonny do what you do the best, get us the best food out there. Don't let that passion for food be limited because of some people who find it offensive. If they find it offensive it's their fault not yours. You provide us with the best content of the best food around and I really appreciate it. Some viewers commenting that they have problems with you showcasing beef on the channel, well I would say don't give a shit about them as there are many viewers and subscribers who love your content whether it has beef or not. They haven't ever had beef before so they probably don't know what they are missing on and the taste we are talking about🤤 I would love to try the nalli dosa if I visit Chennai. Don't worry about losing these few subscribers over some beef😂 you got no beef with them. You will get many more subscribers only for the good food content that you always deliver to us. @WServant2717 It’s somewhat hard to find if you aren’t in an area with a lot of Indians. I’m lucky enough to have a place with dosa literally in the name right down the street from me!
As a Malaysian i'm proud that Indians also took inspirations from our cuisine, as we already did with theirs for decades. Food really bridges people across the globe.

Dosa is a traditional food of Tamils and not Karnataka food. Dosa is mentioned as "நல் வரி இறாஅல் புரையும் மெல் அடை" in Madurai Kanji, the composition of Sangam Tamil song Pathupattu. Dosai is a later name but its real name is Appam(அப்பம்) or Adha(அடை).
do you know how the borders of south India were during the time dosa was materialized? 😆 . FYI every south indian state has their own type of dosa . well . it even differs by town ! get a life!
@@FireAnt1981He is Stating the fact. If you have some say so. And The actual Tamil word is “Thosai” and “Dosa” is the anglicized form of the same. Thosai comes from two words “thoi-thu” and “Sei-thal”. It means “to make by spreading the batter” (That is how dosas are made - by spreading the batter on the tawa. Interestingly, the other Tamil break-fast Itly or Idly is named because it was made by Ittu (to put - in a specific place) and avi (to steam). Ittu-avi -> ittli or idly.

Crispy Dosa is very good but sambar is not that good . Come to Madurai u will atleast get 4 to 5 varities of chutney sambar and 3 varities of gun poweder.

We appreciate all your effort in bringing South Indian dishes to live. But please can you stop calling Naan as bread and Dosa as Pan cakes? There is a reason they were given names and as a south Indian its really hard to hear those names. 🙏

Naan to a westerner like me looks like a flat bread so it's a bread. Dosa looks like a crepe and is probably sweet so the closest flavor is a pancake. Stop being offended when he's trying to give it the closest taste that someone from the west would understand.
