Don’t pay attention to current government of Iran as they currently hanged the best wrestler Navid Afkari for a crime that he didn’t commit and he was tortured to confess. People love people. I´m Persian and here Yazdani thanked David Taylor for being such a great opponent and the fact that wrestling with Taylor has made him a better wrestler. I just watched another short video where Taylor pretty much said the same thing about Yazdani. I´m not a professional wrestler but I think that American Folkstyle Wrestling has a lot to offer to wrestlers around the world, mainly to those interested in Freestyle. I truly hope that Wrestling remains a popular sport in many countries around the world. Countries such as the US, Iran, Russia, Georgia and others should do whatever they can to keep this beautiful sport alive and I hope that Wrestling gains more and more popularity in the US among younger and future generations. God bless both Yazdani and Taylor for being such great athletes and for their sportsmanship.
While I would love to continue to see Taylor win I'm glad that Yazdani was finally able to snag one. It's not a rivalry if one person wins all the time. Obviously Yazdani and his team made adjustments, we saw that at the Olympics when he didn't gas out in the second period like he did the first two times. Kudos to his team for making those adjustments and hats off to Yazdani for being able to implement them on the mat. Now it's Taylor and his teams turn to make adjustments. Yazdani and Taylor truly are 1a and 1b for best in the world at 86kg and it's not even close.

That’s right. Humble, not trying to brag about his victories in any situation. He has only three loses in Senior level and all three was to David Taylor. You can feel how divine is DT’s athleticism. Now, Imagine who is Hasan Yazdani who could fight with DT till the last second. He cried after the game over whistle because he knew that his people were waiting for this victory for 4 years.

I remember when Yazdani tech falled one of our best wrestlers, Dieringer. His sportsmanship afterwards was something amazing to watch. He is a great representative for the sport of wrestling. Congratulations!! I wish more "pro" athletes were like him and DT.

Both wrestlers have a ton of respect for each other..They dominate the class and have beaten each other so you can call it a rivalry
Although I was hoping to see DT get another World Championship, when Yaz got the last take down, and the match was in hand, I was happy for him to get this one. I really like the way he wrestles and it's going to fun to see this rivalry continue to develop. "Iron sharpens iron", and DT and Yaz will continue to make each other better. Also, I love seeing the passion from the Iranian wrestling fans. Can't wait for the next match-up.

He has become the symbol of down to earth and friendly and fair competitor in Iran and because of his personality everyone love him. The American are great and wonderful wrestlers and we have so much respect for them as well. I love the way he kissed David at the end and showed respect to him. They both are champions and hopefully they meet again.
Yazdani must be the strongest wrestler by weight class in the world. The way he pushed around David Taylor was like a man against a boy.

That's not true ..... David Taylor (USA) is a champion too - Yazdani's win was caused by several adjustments he made after Olympic - Hassan is a super hero in own eye - he even paid his respect to the opponent as well too. Both they did a good job.

Taylor wasn't working at all in the first 2 minutes and the referee should have given him a warning and 1 point to Yazdani but we did not see that. They could complain to the referee about that.
This humbleness is a part of Iranian/Aryan civilization/tradition it's called "Maram e pahlavani" or something like , a very specific way one carries himself , in which the first rule is respect and humbleness.. "Maram" is the root of ones character and being , pahlavani means like , champion! When they go for training one of the many requirements is that you MUST show respect and be humble and kind ... It's hard to explain for me but it's a major part of Iranian culture and civilization.. It's VERY refreshing to see so many around the world loving in this guy with ALL the west's constant and decades of ugly propaganda against the great Iranian people.. Thank you ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
