The love of my life decided to leave me, I really love her so much I can’t stop thinking about her, I’ve tried my very best to get her back in my life, but to no avail, I’m frustrated, I don’t see my life with anyone else. Hello, maybe I can shed some more light. First, I agree with all that was said, Pastor Evans is truly a man of God, and I trust his teachings and in his anointing. However, when he referred to children of God as sinners saved by grace, that was kind of confusing I'm sure for some hearers. We are sinners when we are of the world and are bound by our sin nature to obey it's lusts and live as selfish and depraved people. The good works we do, even small things such as giving a cup of water, are important to God simply because we do them IN HIS name. Bearing the name Christian means a lot for us, so let's break it down. Romans 8:12-17 So then, brethren, we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh- 13 for if you are living according to the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14 For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 15 For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!” 16 The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him. (NASB) Here, it is made clear that the rebirth Jesus referred to in John 3 is in fact a true SPIRITUAL experience, not merely us obeying rules and behaving to "appear" as something. The principle is that we ALREADY ARE children of God, if indeed we "received a spirit of adoption as sons/daughters." Like our natural birth, a freshly "born-again" person is an infant in the Lord and has to learn how to operate in their new identity. Behavior is important because in a spiritual being who exists in the flesh, our outward behavior and responses manifest from inside. When referring to speech the Bible say's "out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks." Now to end, in the beginning of chapter 8 in Romans Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. Under the law of Moses, referred to here in a broad way as "the law of sin and death," we see the principle taught by Paul in Galatians. He refers back to Leviticus, where it is told that the children of Israel will "live by the law." That doesn't mean live, AND DO SO, while abiding to the rules. It means that life DEPENDS on them following and obeying the laws and statutes of the covenant that God established. If it weren't for Jesus we would be REQUIRED to work our way into His favor, which, also as it says in Galatians, is a CURSE. It simply cannot be done as God is too holy and perfect. The freedom we receive is from the condemnation and guilt of sin, AND the power of sin in our lives. We are now free to choose to live by the truth because God has given us a revelation of Himself in Jesus, and through our belief in Jesus, He has given us also the revelation that we are "children of God, " if indeed we receive Him and get born again(made to be in spiritual union with Him). Children of God are partakers of "the divine nature" described by pastor Evans, that is why we do the works that we do. It takes effort because we still have the same body and mind that we had before conversion that needs to be renewed and sanctified. When you see unbelievers unable to comprehend this and unable to control themselves remember what it also says in Romans 8:7 For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace, 7 because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, 8 and those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
You are only ever saved by grace Jesus himself said he is the way the truth the life none get to the father except through him
