  • Dr. Evans , God allowed my daughter to die 3 years ago in a tragic accident. My first child. I trust in God, I just don’t understand how her passing is a process for me through God. I do not understand. I pray. I know and have faith in God, I just don’t understand how her passing is a process for me. The church has let me down. My life is not strong, but my faith in God is. I listen to you because you explain the word. I am not a spiritual person. I am still broken by her death, but I will continue to have faith in God. Please help me understand. Please 🙏🏽

    • You will one day meet another woman who hurts just like you but doesn't know the Lord nor does she have the strength the Lord provides you. You will be one of the Bridges to Christ for others. That your faith sustains is proof that this is your calling. Your pain will become a precise weapon against the enemy. The Devil meant to kill you with all of this, but you stand on The Rock. In Jesus Name, may you recognize what is in you this moment, all that you need. Amen.

    • I am so sorry for your loss. Loss of loved ones especially a child is devastating, but I try to keep in mind that this life is temporary and we can all die at any point, but heaven is forever and just focus on God and making it to heaven.❤️

    • Used to help a lady who lost her daughter as a baby. She told me that God told her that he wanted her child to be a rose bud in his flower garden. Sounded like such a beautiful honor to me! In God all things are beautiful!

    • I can’t even begin to express how deeply sorry I am for the loss of your daughter. I will not insult you by attempting to explain why this happened or what the purpose of it is! It is never easy to deal with the loss of a loved one especially when it is your child! I pray that the Lord will continue to strengthen you and help you to continue on as you carry this awful pain with you. I’ve found that the hurt never goes away but God gives us the grace needed to make it through. Continue to mourn but also don’t forget to cherish the time you did have with her. And because God is faithful and we have His promise you will see your daughter again my friend! Be encouraged! God bless you and your family!

  • I lost my grandson a few years ago to a hot and run. God kept me thru it all. He gave me peace. God will 6:23 😅 bring you thru. You only have to trust Him. God loves you and wants the best for you. He doesn't give us more than we can bear. Maybe He saw something that you didn't see down the road. But I pray that God will send you the comfort you need. If you live for God, He will do it.

    • Same here, with my son. I am learning so much and growing in God's wisdom. Because of my son having fallen away from the faith due to his hardships and my not being loving to him when he got off course. I was a 17 y.o. mother and was not saved. But now I am saved. Been praying and fasting for years now!

  • I lost my first born last month. A piece of me was amputated in cold blood. I take comfort in that she's not suffering anymore. Though she passed due to an injury caused by an accident, she had stage 4 cancer. But why even the cancer? How is this pain good for me. Her 12 year old son that's on the spectrum now has no mom. How is that good? I know His ways and thoughts are higher than ours, and I do praise him in this storm and know that I'm going through because of Him and with Him but I do get upset and frustrated by not understanding. There can't be a greater pain than losing your child. This will never go away in this life. It brings me joy thinking of seeing her again but I can't understand and the hurt is so deep, how is this good for anything or anyone. God bless you all.

Thank You for showing me that Your hand has been upon my life since the beginning of my life!My enemies tried to kill me, and like Joseph, I was blinded because I couldn't understand that the attacks of the enemy could come through people who were supposed to love you. But oh, my friends, greater is He who is in You than he who is in the world. Thank You Jesus, that in the midst of my trial, You were always in control! Thank You that nothing they did ever came as a surprise to You. We serve a mighty and powerful GOD. Let's give Him all of our praise. In Jesus Name ❤.

Start your day out contemplating these things. They will help you navigate thru the day as obstacles pop up. Remember, obstacles are meant to be overcome and provide life lessons to learn and teach to others.

  • Verse of the Day for Friday, September 1st, 2023 Show me your ways, O Lord, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. -Psalm 25:4-5 Thoughts on Today's Verse... Life can be so confusing. We have many choices as we decide the values governing our lives. So how will we find the best way - and much more importantly, God's way - to live? We ask God to show us! Our hope is in him. Our salvation is in him. So why not ask him to guide us and teach us his truth? Why not expect that he will make his will known to us? If our hearts are open to his truth and we seek his path, he will make his will known. So, as we seek the answers to our questions, and as we seek to know God's truth from the Scriptures, let's invite God to help us: Show me your ways, O Lord, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. My Prayer... O mighty God, the only accurate guide to life, please help me know your will more completely. I want to live for you and to please you. I want others to know of my allegiance to you - not just through the words I speak but also through the character of my conduct. I want my life to demonstrate that you are guiding me, and my hope is in you! In Jesus' name, I ask this. Amen. The Thoughts and Prayer on Today's Verse are written by Phil Ware. You can email questions or comments to phil@verseoftheday.com.

  • Much love to Dr. Evans, but I'm confused. He talks about Joseph's brothers thinking "if dad was alive he would protect us but he's no longer with us" and says that the brothers fib, telling Joseph "our father told us to tell you to forgive us". But Israel WAS alive (Just double checked to be sure!) God tells Israel to go to Egypt because he will bless the nation there and "Joseph's hand will close your eyes". (Gen. 46: 3-4) Anyone know why he's telling a different story? Would love to know!

And you will perish, too, unless you repent of your sins and turn to God. 4 And what about the eighteen people who died when the tower in Siloam fell on them? Were they the worst sinners in Jerusalem? 5 No, and I tell you again that unless you repent, you will perish, too.”
