I agree that WGS is on top forever, but other quests are reasonable contenders.
I agree, but I think Underground Pass is unironically the best.
This just makes me think of the many times at Tormented Demons. Funny how you get to them from Lumbridge. Where everything started.

I remember when I first played through While Guthix Sleeps and hearing this song for the first time. Hearing the login music sneak it's way into this song blew my mind at the time and I listed to this on repeat for a little while. Good memories. I think my favorite track from RuneScape, just behind Sea Shanty 2 of course.
I really hope, and expect this banger to be added in the remake in OSRS!
I hope they just add this directly in the way it is here (rs hd) instead of the rs2 style of music thats normal in osrs todayz
@@cyruskhalvati that would require an entire new sound engine unfortunately, the hdos client will likely have the whole quest in its hd glory with the music packaging in not long after release

the best part is that all they would need to do is cut out the summoning portion, and add the quests defender of varrock and path of glouphrie (both quests which could work just fine with current osrs lore) then we could get it
@Imlerith, general of the Wild hunt nah man, quests already went to shit in 2008. In 2007, leading into 2008 stuff changed internally causing the beginning of the end. After 2007 you'll have to be very careful what you want in the game and what not.
@Imlerith, general of the Wild hunt yeah obviously those were amazing, but the point is not that all content sucked, in fact most was still amazing, it's just that they stopped caring about continuity to past content and as such most newly developed content started deviating eventually leading to the ultimate failure of EOC and the wheel of fortune, but the build up was there. Just look at the temple Knight questline where the tone took a bizarre turn. This is why one would have to carefully pick and choose content from that era of the game.
Anyone else mesmerised by those 'moans' in the background - like something sinister, infernal, indomitable crying out in terror and anger, eager to be released to spread chaos in the world. Something even Gods would be afraid of.

I remember playing While Guthix Sleeps for the first time. This track gave me chills. And going back to fight Tormented Demons after the quest, more chills!

I was like, "Where the hell have I heard this before? I haven't done WGS, and I don't know anybody who has." Then I remembered it was in a RuneScape trailer in 2009 or 2010.
When i heard this i was like, "WTF? This is runescape?". Now im totally addicted and cant stop...
Playing this song while doing the depressing morytania quests really makes them more exciting!

This Quest is legendary. One of the very best, only behind World Wakes, Fate of the Gods and Ritual of the Mahjarrat.
Joulupukkiman Behind FotG and WW? wat. RotM was good but not nearly as good in my opinion. WGS was amazing. Unfortunately the guy behind this and the myreque series isn't working as Jagex anymore.
Joulupukkiman while guthix sleeps was allot better than world wakes and fate of the gods, those quest were allot more fucking easier.

Very epic theme :) This soundtrack can be unlock by doing While Guthix Sleeps. Easy quest but long quest took me almost 2 hrs to do

I was literally tingling when this music came up during While Guthix Sleeps! This is easily the best music ever to grace my ears for an MMO, also featured in one of the best quests I've ever played in an MMO... This song alone was the main reason I very deliberally looked for (probably illegal at the time) downloads of the original RS soundtrack way back in time... Well, this and Sea Shanty 2, at least
This theme is just absolutely fucking ridiculous. It just won't leave your head, ever. I wonder who is the mastermind behind this soundtrack. I mean this theme is so good it puts some of the boss and final boss songs in Final Fantasy series to absolutely shame.

This song completely matches the end of gielnor. lucien takes control, kills hazelmere, disinegrates 3 of the most powerful heroes at once. I want to tear that bastard apart. Although i can't help but admit, he is a good character. I love how runescape isn't just a game. it has a story.

It's cool at 2:20 to 2:30 because it's like you hear the calming sound kind of, then it like, pauses for a while, then the loud epic thing comes after, lol I dunno how to explain.
Because the stone was their power. Using the Stone of Jas only made the Dragonkin stronger, so its effect was useless against them. "Your power comes from the stone. Our power IS the stone." And yes, there will be quests after that one, but the new antagonists are the Dragonkin themselves.
@SwaHeart Same goes for the mahjarat we know as Zamorak, without the staff he would have never bested Zaros. Also, you do remember that Lucien had his powers amplified by the stone of Jas AND just went through the restoration ritual.

No, this is the theme of the Balance Elemental in the Temple of Guthix. You unlock this song as you fight him, and it also plays automatically when you fight Tormented Demons too.
