  • Hearing Andrew Garfield say "if you look at Jonathan Larson singing...he wasn't a GREAT singer, but he was...singing for his life...it was life or death..." ...this proves without a doubt that Andrew got it...he got what was at the core of "tick...tick...BOOM" and why his performance is as electric as it is.

  • The moderator did a great job! This is how you do a ROUNDTABLE. Everybody gets to answer one question. They milk it and they don’t jump from one question to another, interrupting the actor!

    @jaihohoho@jaihohoho2 жыл бұрын
    • Agreed, I watched a few of the others, and the moderator seemed RUDE and was constantly over talking the answer and switching focus and moving to other people before the answer was done. SUPER annoying. I loved this. Also, though the video and audio quality was no where near the previous interviews, which was disappointing, it was still really informative and entertaining.

      @joewillsart@joewillsart2 жыл бұрын
    • Yes! And you can see how the actors are so into the discussion and frequently say something like “going back to the previous question/topic” because the questions are thoughtful and coherent! Instead of rapid fire type of questions like some cheap tabloid lol I’m tired of questions like: 1. How does it feel like playing this role 2. How does if feel like working with ____ 3. How does it feel like being away from your kids Leave that to E! News lol

    • Couldn’t agree more, he brings such a unique and brill energy to all the characters he plays. His wisdom (especially now) in this industry is really inspiring to see and I think it definitely shows now in his more recent movies. For me watching Nicholas is like watching someone paint a beautiful picture. And not only that, someone who knows what they are doing, you could even say they have “mastered it.” And this instance I will go ahead and say Nicholas Cage has mastered it. All the way from national treasure to a film like Con Air, he really can do it all. You cant put this man in a box, and if you could he would find a way to make it his own. He’d probably paint it like each colour of a rubik’s cube or something totally awesome like that. I’m really glad he has won his oscar for Leaving Las Vegas in 96. To be honest i think he should have an oscar for every movie he’s done but we wouldn’t want the under dogs like leonardo dicaprio and matt damon to feel left out. I’ll say finally, if I was to ever meet nicholas cage I would bow down to him, and then he’d probably say something totally crazy cool like “stand to your feet, you are no lower than me.” Then I would give him a hug and tell him how much he means to me. Thanks Nick, we love you

  • This was easily one of the best THR Roundtables I've ever seen. The conversation just flowed so naturally all thanks to Ms Rebecca, whose first question paved the way for the rest of the conversation. Thank You for that!

  • I loved Andrews responses to the outrageous stories Nicholas Cage was telling. I think he was having a better time than most of us just watching from a far.

  • Andrew Garfield is such a brilliant man. I could listen to him talk all day. He'd make a fantstic podcast.

  • This was gloriously free and inspiring. Kudos to the moderator for getting out of the way and facilitating in an organic way. And these men brought magic to this table. Im even more in love with Andrew Garfield, Nic Cage and Jonathan Majors as humans and actors.

  • I love listening to Andrew talk about Jonathan Larson. It's also just fascinating to listen to these men. And singing is therapy.

    • Yes! I love how soft spoken he is and how you can see, just like Andrew, his wheels turning as he’s giving his well orchestrated answers and add-ons to others’ thoughts :))
