LYRICS:
Valhalla Calling Gavin Dunne 2020
Ships on vigor of the waves are skimming
Barren summits to the verdant plains
Each horizon is a new beginning
Rise and reign
Far from the fjords and the ice cold currents
Ravens soar over new frontiers
Songs and sagas of a fate determined
Shields and spears
Vows of favour or the thrill of plunder
Pull together for the clan and kin
Clank of hammers and the crash of thunder
Pound within
Oh-ho-oh
The echoes of eternity
Oh-ho-oh
Valhalla calling me
Oh-ho-oh
To pluck the strings of destiny
Oh-ho-oh
Valhalla calling me
Valhalla calling me
Sails a' swaying on the crimson rivers
Blood and glory in the fighting fields
Shields a' shatter into splintered timbers
Iron and steel
Fires are rising and the bells are ringing
Glory take us into Odin's halls
Golden glimmer and the sound of singing
Asgard's call
Oh-ho-oh
The echoes of eternity
Oh-ho-oh
Valhalla calling me
Oh-ho-oh
To pluck the strings of destiny
Oh-ho-oh
Valhalla calling me
Valhalla calling me
Wind and the waves will carry me
Wind and the waves will set me free
Oh-ho-oh
The echoes of eternity
Oh-ho-oh
Valhalla calling me
Oh-ho-oh
To pluck the strings of destiny
Oh-ho-oh
Valhalla calling me
Valhalla calling me

  • SKAL! Here's a playlist of my songs for new listeners: kzhead.info/channel/PL7vOu0c9nrr9uiY4Tw0Y8HFsSjCBtlMiZ.html FYI: Peyton Parrish did not include me in the video footage for this exact same duet on his youtube channel, so a lot of people have the wrong idea about it. To be clear: I composed the song. I produced the song. I played all of the instruments. I did all the vocal harmonies. We both sang the lead vocal parts.

  • I'm from Norway, today was my first step back in the gym after two open heart surgeries this year, I teared up when I lifted weights and heard this song coming up in my ears. I am happy to be alive and well!! Edit: I did not expect this much support and kind words! I am 32 years old for the record. Born with a defect on my heart valve, found out about it in February and tried to repair it first unsuccessful, hence second surgery replacing it with a mechanic heart valve. I had over 50% added size of a normal heart when we found out about it, had it checked this week and now it's only 0.6 cm larger (before it was 3cm larger). Thank you all from the bottom of my (partly mechanic) heart 😅

    • It's kind that Gavin gave Peyton a big break and let him feature on his popular chanel at the time and gave him a vocalist spot as a feature on this awesome song! Definitely gave Peyton a boost within the viking core/ metal when he needed it. Bit shady on Peytons part to edit Gavin out of the exact same music video featured on his chanel though? Combine that with Peytons social media blitz where he would never tag Miracle of Sound the actual creator/singer/producer of this song and kind of present it like it wasn't a song he features as a guest vocalist. Rude way to operate.

And I love this, because I get to fit it to my mood or what I want to listen to. Love you all, you are all awesome! • As for someone from Malaysia who's far away and never been to any of the Scandinavian countries, I always have a love for Viking stories and this song has the most epic depiction of that. It feels like I was born in a wrong country. Anyhow, I'm thankful of where I am and much love to all, from Malaysia. Love this song btw.

    • Pretty sure Vikings had some mind of belief that anyone could be a Viking. So like, if someone came to them and said they were a Viking and wanted to prove it, they'd be given the chance to prove themselves. If they did, they were accepted without question and welcomed as a long lost brother or sister.

    • As a non native Native American, I’d say there is no such thing as native to anywhere other than where one is born. We all came from the same place, just depends on how far back you want to draw your line? In terms of Americans: England? Germany? Italy? North Africa? Alaska? Siberia? Mongolia? China? Middle East? Africa? Our ancestors are all the same people. Tribalism and this desire to fit in to a neat group, which all that really divides us, is where the arguing comes in. Most Americans being guilt tripped about Europeans settling in the Americans wouldn’t even be aware of the perpetual wars between Tribes here. They wouldn’t know that Natives are most closely related to Siberians today. Or that those Siberians are closely related to people of Eastern Europe and Western Asia. It’s all one tree. One life.
