  • Very clever idea but I would not prefer it I think. It gets too pixelated and may bug a lot in huge projects, where I need to stamp every sprite to take the pen to front layer...

  • I actually know about really old, prototype versions of Scratch. Also there is interesting fact about the iconic shape of blocks from the "Events" tab, like "when green flag is clicked". Very old prototype version of scratch(from 1995) was originally designed to run on Apple MacOS 9, and it just used the MacOS 9 folder icon as Event blocks, then later it changes to the iconic shape. Also i saw a prototype version from 2004, it shows a similar UI to scratch 1.x, probably it was a beginning of modern Scartch UI.

    • this is a fabricated story, scratch started development in the year 2002 and was only released to the public in 2007

  • i tried using this for my game to label clones, but the pen keeps going back, but not the clones HP bars.

    • Thats not how its working, pen is ALWAYS behind all the sprites, what he is doing is just making the scratch cat to stamp which counts as pen too. Drawing the pen later wont affect anything. Btw I didnt really understand your sentence, so if I understood something you sayed wrong, then please correct me :)

    • @@tigertut2410 yeah, that’s what I was saying. He made the red pen spear on top by simply drawing it on top of the stamp (drawing it later in the frame)
