Thanks For Watching
I love your channel because your videos doesn't have any music. The low edition, the quietness, the simplicity of just showing the truck and the inspection it's just perfect. Most channels when grow up start adding a bunch of intros, edition, music, bad jokes, etc., and I don't really like it. New subscriber.
"I think you did good, son." Those words are so powerful
I retired from a Cummins distributor in 2011. I have no idea how many hundreds of Industrial B-Series Cummins I sold. Those things are bullet proof no matter the application.
Your pops is so supportive. Love it
New to your channel I'm a lifetime Dodge boy and after seeing you and your dad playing with the old first gen brought back some good memories of my dad and me wrenching on his old 74 witch has bin left to me after his passing .I have started on the journey of bringing it back from the dead after sitting since 1991 he started rebuilding it and I plan to finish his old truck and drive the wheels off it
i kid you not i tried to buy that truck
You’re kidding!
@greyclough1031 I have a sneaking suspicion that he, in fact might not be kidding but it's just a hunch
I have a 1993 D350 dually was handed down to me by my adopted dad still has original engine and transmission and even the paint still glossy black and silver with its clear coat used to sit on the showroom floor at dodge and cambells till adopted dad bought it off them so seeing another older dually makes me happy I have so far only seen two others in my lifetime so far besides this video 🤣💙
New subsciber here and owner of a 97 one ton Cummins dually 4×4 that has been sitting for ten or more years. I look forward to seeing your project come together.
In crust we trust my friend
sweet, look forward to watching more on this build, good luck from the UK
Great video, really admire your perseverance 👍
As a fan of the Cummins, nice rig. ❤
As a fellow owner of two 1st gen Cummins trucks on the farm, I'm really looking foward to the project you have planned for the engine and tranny. One of mine is very rusty but the motor still runs like a top so I'm going to put it in something else soon.
Looking forward to seeing more
That ecu is repairable!!!! Don’t get rid of it they are very expensive and hard to find!!
The magic smoke escaped
I feel your pain on breaking that grill. I had to do something similar on a 1985 D150. Cable broke and had to get in. Lucky for me when I got the end of the broken cable the latch still worked.
Well up here in Wisconsin boss we use zip tie cross stitches to put our plastic parts back together
You said in the beginning the hood has a lot of rust in the middle, that would have made me cut a hole in it 🤣🤣🤣
i like this channel nice work!
Nice job.
I kept thinking the truck must've been in a fllood and then you said florida and I was like yep he got himself a water damaged truck
This video popped up in my feed this morning. Also searched you out on Instagram and followed there as well. Looking forward to seeing how this one turns out.
We put anti-seize on everything we can here in the rust belt.
That rust is crazy! I live in Buffalo and i dont even see rust that bad up here from the salt!
Very interesting 👌
Love your videos your so laid back I’m high on Mary Jane laid back and happy
Same brody...🤪😵💫🥴
That truck spent more time north than it did in Florida unless it was parked in the Gulf
You don’t need salt to make rust, just need bare/scratched metal and moisture/air which parking in a yard that retains moisture will do.
There salt in the ocean & the gulf btw, which Florida is surrounded by.
Clean up the 93 Ram D350 1st Gen 12V Cummins Turbo Diesel Dually New Flatbed on your Truck Stewarts Garage Do mod to it man
I hope I’m wrong. I’m only a few minutes into the video but I hope he doesn’t destroy that grill. That’s an original grill that you can’t get anymore.
Hell yeah
On the 2nd gens you can use a long flat screw driver and bump the lock on front of hood I locked my keys under hoods that how I know
Fun fact: the second gen rams had drum rear brakes aswell
Great channel
Just subbed 👍🏼🇨🇦
We use a good penetrating oil like fluid film it even bubbles like peroxide on a cut
I go with light cream or light tan for base color.
poor girl. cant beleive that rust. Interesting fact: 2500/3500 Rams didnt get rear disc until 2001.5. there were no 1st gens at all with rear disc.
Drum brakes where used all the way to 1999 on dodge trucks 2000 it was optional for disc or drum and than 2001 up stock disc
Updates please on cab an chassis such beautiful truck
lol us boys in new york dont let our trucks sit we fix em and run em
The only problem with a Dodge with a Cummins in it is the Dodge parts
Up north there ain't no rust unless if your in Utah from the salt lake
I drilled a hole in the hood with a step bit, then welded and patched the whole just to save a grill on an old dodge I had. I understand why you did what you did, but this dodge grill I had would not be as easy to replace. 1970 Dodge D100.
Hurt my heart when you cut that grill
Imagine if you did all of that work to get the hood open and then it decided not to start
Do you want to sell that passenger seat base - lever release? Thanks!
How can the engine run without the ECU connected?
Prob could have used the jumper button ran into the cab and fired it up in gear but could be a bit unsafe if no brakes hahaaha
Should have sprayed everything the night before against rust and again in the morning.
You can buy that Grill from V trucks
In the words of Peg, “what a big pile of Dodge”.
had drum brakes all the way through the 90s
He must have been hauling fertilizer or something with it
Oxidated Wiring
Dodge wiring problems? No way
It started and u didnt even have to do anything. Almost like a 12valve
Next time spray WD40 with a hair dryer into then turbo not starting fluid
At 8:26 seconds it sounds like he farts
pine tree needles
I would of ask around before doing anything you did and saved Money and time
I've fixed frames worse than that, if you're good with a welder it can be done.
Try lubricant
Bro get you a piece of plywood or a Bible or something don't use a rag it's going to suck it right into the turbo give that thing I shot a PB Blaster or WD-40 or something into that Turbo she is so dry in there
You gotta be careful with that can of ether man. These engines can knock themselves to death doing what you did. You skipped so many steps and might of cost you a valve seat, pump ring, or bearing.
U can bypass it
He farteddd
Comment
first
I wouldn't touch this rust bucket only for possible parts for another project
That's a second gen first gen ended in 1992
😂😂😂😂 Your wrong bud Second Gen started in 94
Terrible bait
