Dann preferred to stay under the radar so to speak and work as a studio musician. He's played on so many other popular artists albums, including laying down the solo for Whitesnake's radio edit of Here I Go Again. I think he still spends his time as a studio musician and guitar instructer these days. Great band and they're all top notch musicians.
@bendodson33125 жыл бұрын
I think that another reason they didn't gain popularity is because these guys didn't fit into the whole "drugs, sex and rock 'n' roll" scene. Dann and David had previously played in a popular Christian band known as WhiteHeart. They desired to "cross-over" to mainstream, but some in the industry may not have liked their clean-cut side, even though their musicianship clearly shows.
@richardwheeler37685 жыл бұрын
@@richardwheeler3768 Not sure thats true considering how popular Stryper were. Simple fact is, by 1989 bands of this type were being signed left right and centre by record labels and many great bands got swamped by all the others, and by the time the second album came out it was in the middle of the grunge rise and was way too late to the party. Incredibly talented band and some fantastic material, but the same could be said of god knows how many bands that came out in that 1989 to 1991 period.

I completely agree my freind. In 94 music went totally downhill, and has never recovered with a few exceptions here and there.
I continue to listen to my 80s hairbands, classics rock,Giant and every other rock band over the so called music out now,yuck...And thankful a LOT of 80,90s bands still tour! Its my go to music, the best ever!😊🎸🎵🎤
Two words. Blacktop mojo Three more. Black Stone Cherry
Music to my ears. Music to my soul. How could be have it better than this? Great sound!!
Why this song was not a top 40 hit I'll never understand...check out the acoustic version of this song....it will send chills
I Love this Song from Start to Finish. 💛 Dan Huffs is one of my Favorite Guitarists of all Time.
How did they pass through London without the recognition they deserved??? They would have shaken the Hammy 'O right up the Thames!!! Exceptional band which still sound good today. That is the testament of a quality act. God bless 'em!
My favorite from these guys. Music like this is an absolute treasure.
No matter the song, GIANT just move you!
One of the best AOR songs ever
Easily
Love this music!
Dann Huff - master of the guitar :)))
He should be in the R&R Hall of Fame!
@@infocool4609 Should be.
Also an accomplishment singer too
How can such an amazing band be so underrated? I had never even heard of it before!
Because of their album covers... :)
They were popular in the late 80s early 90s.. but hair bands were more popular.. similar but different
Absolute masterpiece... They ruled !!!
Underestimated Brilliance.Dann Huff.
Dan Huff is a phenomenal guitar player
Seriously underrated ...
Such a great band!!!
one of the best solos ever!
A thinking man's alternative to Bon Jovi.. one of the best ever guitar breaks in any song .. the opening to it is like a bungie jump .. you just keep going back for more..
One of my favorite groups. This is also one of my favorite songs in this album (Time to Burn)!
These guys were victims of circumstance. I didnt hear Giant on the east coast until at least 1991. That was a tough time to be in an 80s-style rock band. If they hit a few years earlier...
Few non-guitar players can appreciate just what a kick-a$$ guitar solo this kick-a$$ song has...buy a way under rated kick-a$$ guitarist !!!!!
Fantastic Melodic Rock track. Giant was... GIANT 🔥 Amazing melodies, amazing musicians, unforgettable !
This simply makes me feel good... That's what it's all about really...
trully an awesome band
Stay till the end...
Straight fire 🔥 🔥
"Should we plug in our stuff?" "Nah, I didn't bring my amp." "Hey you kicked my sand castle!"
Amazing song, amazing band, great video, Dan Huff was so highly underrated.
Man talk about a catchy hook on the chorus Songs just dont have the power like they did in the 80s and early 90s
Dann Huff - Amazing guitarist, fantastic singer, awesome songwriter, and an impeccable taste in T-shirts.
One of the best songs for love confession!!!
So many videos on the beach from that year lol. 'Nobody Rides for Free' by Ratt, 'Everything about You' by Ugly Kid Joe
I will say it again. No one that can play the fucking guitar like that should be given that kind of voice. He comes from a select group including guys like John Sykes that can just rip, and sing as well as any other lead vocalist in any band. Dann Huff is just too damned talented. I listen to their two albums with him at the gym all the time.
Uma banda sensacional que não caiu no gosto da mídia. Inacreditável. Boas composições, muito bem executadas e Dann Huff fazia tudo aquilo na guitarra e cantava ao mesmo tempo.
One of my fave bands...first both albums classics
wow what a great songs. Don't even remember these guys
Love Giant! The ending is so cute.
Great song!
Had no idea Dann Huff had such a fantastic rock voice! :) Peace, V
At last the great Giant have their videos on VEVO, the quality is excellent! One of the best band I've ever listened to! I want a time machine to take me back to 1980's...
love them
Great song with a great hook.
GIANT SHREDS!!!!
When you had to actually be able to really play an instrument and actually be able to sing in a band! What a great track 👊
Great band and Dan huff is such a good guitarist.
What can one say about talents like these guys? 👍👍👍
Most underrated band ever
Every time I listen to this guitar solo, I want to ride a motorcycle!

One of the best songs of the era. What a guitar sound and voice. Amazing production!!
What a great and amazing song... Giant is a brillant band.
I heard this song for the first time now. Amazing, I really love it! Why the fuck music can't be like this nowadays??
Sounds like a day at the beach 🏖️ boardwalk! 😊😊😊❤
Amazing Band
Well put! Parties where you actually met new people and made friends. I also loved the arcades and my dual cassette deck with high speed dubbing LOL! Whoever finds the 80's time machine first please pass the location on LOL! :-)
Esa energía ya no la escuchas hoy en día..... maravilloso grupo, de lo mejor !!
my favorite song from Giant!! rock On
wow feel young again love it!!!!
hey little girl. it was just you and me with our backs to the wall. we could take on the world. because our hearts were strong. man just don't get lyrics like that anymore. been a giant fan for many years. love them. they should've gotten more recognition then they did. amazing group. Dan huff one of the best vocalist and best guitarist ever, in my opinion
GIANT is my favourite i've seen them live awesome shows.
i dedicate this song for everyone who is deeply in love. giant is great.
Brilliant band , Dan huff sublime
Para quem gosta do bom e velho rock, show de banda
Wish we still had music out there that sounded as good as this does.
No comments for a year. Shame. Still love the Eighties. Overblown? Yes - but brilliant! Wish I could still grow my hair like that!
As for me it's a fantastic music, I agree with the view of "underrated" music band....
"real parties where people approach you....and human beings with social skills!" fortunately in Brazil there is still that part of social life at parties hehehe but I also wanted to be born in this epoch or be able back at that time. felizmente no brasil ainda existe essa parte da vida social nas festas hehehe mas eu tambem queria ter nascido nessa epoca ou poder voltar nesse tempo
Damn solo kicks ass!
Melodic hard rock can't get much better than this, absolutely brilliant song! \m/
I heard this song for the first time tonight at my local record store and i was hooked! How did I miss this one?! ☺☺☺☺☺
