    • Vito Bratta and Dan Huff. I can see the resemblance. Vito Bratta playing in White Lion, a dime a dozen glam metal band. That notion alone was detrimental for Vito I believe. Vito limited himself by playing in White Lion, like George Lynch limited himself by playing in Dokken. I think Vito Bratta would have suited better in Giant. He would have challenged himself more creatively. But such is life. In hindsight things are easy to analyse. There are so many factors - we can't control - that determine someones career.

    • That's the tradeoff ,I guess - we grew up in the time of this music, but you could only experience the visual aspect if you sat in front of the TV , watching MTV for hours on end, hoping they would play bands you liked etc..- but still , the era of music was great. Now? Now, the era of music is absolutely abysmal - save a handful of tunes here n there. However, there is KZhead, and you can search for all those favorite videos or even find footage & lost interviews of artists you really liked back in the day.

He's played on so many other popular artists albums, including laying down the solo for Whitesnake's radio edit of Here I Go Again. I think he still spends his time as a studio musician and guitar instructer these days. Great band and they're all top notch musicians.

    • I think that another reason they didn't gain popularity is because these guys didn't fit into the whole "drugs, sex and rock 'n' roll" scene. Dann and David had previously played in a popular Christian band known as WhiteHeart. They desired to "cross-over" to mainstream, but some in the industry may not have liked their clean-cut side, even though their musicianship clearly shows.

    • @@richardwheeler3768 Not sure thats true considering how popular Stryper were. Simple fact is, by 1989 bands of this type were being signed left right and centre by record labels and many great bands got swamped by all the others, and by the time the second album came out it was in the middle of the grunge rise and was way too late to the party. Incredibly talented band and some fantastic material, but the same could be said of god knows how many bands that came out in that 1989 to 1991 period.
