  • I lost my mom recently, I'm only 17. We loved Rocky, watched all 6 movies every year. I will never forget my time with her. Every time I hear this song, I think of my mom. I played this when she was in the hospital, that was her final day. It's true, there's no easy way out.

    • I think in that scene, Rocky was as such incensed and horrified at the death of his friend and mentor Apollo but he was also insanely afraid (and who could blame him) of not only being killed by Drago but losing everything he had earned and he was reflecting on that during the drive. And his own wife doubting him must have added more bruises to him. This song being as tense and dark as it is absolutely captured the moment there.

  • For every guy that's been bullied, spit on, told they're no good, this is your song! I remember this song from the '80's when I was recovering from a catastrophic Traumatic Brain Injury, TBI. I survived being shot in the head in 1984 and music has been a huge part of motivation, hanging on when you want to quit! Never quit!, Never say Never!, I'm now 39 years post injury and Life is good, but you have to work for it, there's no easy way out!

  • One of my favorite (and most embarrassing) moments of childhood is me and my family watching this in the theater. It's the final fight scene, Rocky is beating the hell out of Drago. My mom is so into it she stands straight up and yells "Atta boy, Rocky! Knock him on his ass!" And everyone turns to look. I love you and miss you, mama.

The last time movies had sex scenes in them was like in the 80s or 90s. Also, even if there's sex scenes in them, so what? They could be good to have in movies anyway. The old 1984 movie The Terminator had a sex scene in it between Kyle Reese and Sarah Connor, yet everyone loves that movie.

    • Although song was releases in 1977, it made it big in 80’s due to Rocky, easily the best decade of music, theres a certain feel that I cant describe, I wasn’t even around in the 80’s! But my parents brought me up on some amazing 80’s tunes and I’m proud that I was. Today’s music is over-edited and lacks the same passion.

    • ***** Really? Its not just the 80's. There are few love songs anymore, Like zero songs use harmonizing,. Like zero songs use long creative lead guitar parts or even short crafty guitar parts. No horns in songs anymore ie trumpets,saxophones or even flutes. There are less instruments used,less detail in percussion recorded. Few bands or like zero today have two lead singers like ie Styx,The Beatles,The Cars etc etc... There are no bands like Pink Floyd,The Beatles,Journey,The Rolling Stones,ABBA and many many more like a hundred more today and recording sales are proof. This generation is not as creative and even movies,cars and clothes reflect my observation. It is universal knowledge that art of all types has fallen off a cliff. People are not as passionate anymore.
