Hello to all the people around the world. My name is Jan and I am Arlos Wife. First to Eric WOW!! There are hardly words for how Arlo and I feel. The out pouring of love and appreciation is overwhelming. We will carry all these comments with us for the rest of our lives. To say Thank You doesn’t express how we feel. (amazed, Overwhelmed,Grateful, Blessed) To the Perkins Crew you have been fun and kind and we appreciate all of you. For all the donation well this has changed our future. We had plan to move into an unfinished house ( we were fine with that because as you carpenters know personal projects always get put on the back burner) Now we will finish our new house and than move in 👏👏. I could go on and on. Just know that we are more thankful than any words could say. ❤

So, like most everyone else I got teary about the title and teared up a few times while watching. Seeing the amount of people donating to the surprise go fund me brings me to tears. Happy retirement Arlo. My little family wishes you the best. My husband found you all a few years ago and gained home building knowledge from you all while also watching the essential craftsman. We're now living in our home we built together. Started in 2020 and built ourselves with money out of pocket. We moved in to our 3 bedroom/2 bath home in October. It's still not completely done but once it is we're debt free with our home. Thank you to all of you 🫶🏻

Hay is dried grass; food. Straw is dried stalks of cereal plants; byproduct.
Generally straw has been run through a threasher(combine) which separates the grain from the straw. Oates, wheat, barley, rye, and other small grains. Feed grains after the grain has been separated is called stalks or stover. Hay is things like alfalfa where everything is baled or stacked. Small grains when it is cut down then baled and stacked before the grain has matured is all called hay. That is the terms we use here in Kansas.

straw is the stuff that's left over after a grain crop has been harvested, while hay is grass that is cut before the grass goes to seed. Typically hay will be normal cultivars of grass with multiple species mixed in, grown specifically as food for livestock. Straw will typically be from intensive grain farming so it will generally be just one species. Straw also has less nutritional value because the plant put all the energy into the seed, while hay will still have some measure of sugar and nutrients.
Please do a follow up vid with arlo interview he has so much wisdom. 40 years is a crazy amount of experience.

Cut glass tile with a glass scoring cutter and you will get cleaner cuts. Also works on ceramic tile
