I’ve never felt so attacked from a youtube intro.
My thoughts exactly but I watched this to the end! 😂 Great video!
On god 😂
Sweet looking lightening ,after effects of the hard work put in .. AWESOME … 👍🏻☘️
Facts😅 I'm sitting here like: how did he know I just did some paint work in my garage 😅😅
I bet, you feel attacked all the time. Try looking for the good in people or things, instead of the concentrating on what your ego is telling you.
Bro really called me out in that intro 😅😂
You've watched a ton of vids and not you have mistakes that you need to fix,,,Nailed me in the first 10 seconds!
Always nice to see someone still using rotary nowadays
early on you mentioned " if you were going for that perfect flat surface for show yet this isnt the video for that " My god how much better does it get than what you just did??? crazy awesome! and great info!
I felt like i was buffing... this was perfectly explained . Perfect intro! Hit my situation right on! Really helped. Thanks..
The opening ABSOLUTELY NAILED IT 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Best non-rushed how to on KZhead. Thank you for all the detailed step-by-steps. As a side note from my own experience with warranty from 3D, is don't even buy their products until you are ready to do your job (you will fight 3D on their warranty as I did, and they did not stand behind the products sold on Amazon. Video was so good I did subscribe. Again, Thank You.
The intro feels like a personal attack 😂
It *was* awful.
The beginning part of your video where you are describing the problems we have from painting in our garage was spot on... I'm a little better than some I guess as I have ZERO orange peel, and NO runs, drips, or sags... however.. it looks like I threw a handful of beach sand into the clear coat while it was still wet... It's now a NON-SLIP surface because of all the nibs. That would be the best way to describe it. If I try and remove every nib in my paint-I will be sanding the ENTIRE panel.. so.. that's my plan. Just wet sand with 1500, then 2000, then 3000, then cut/buff/polish. Sucks because it is a beautiful finish.. just TONS of nibs.
Having never owned anything worth detailing I'm surprised to learn how intense a process it takes to achieve the finish you got. Wow !!!! 👍💯
Admire your attention to detail. Step by step is so important to achieve an excellent finished product.
NICE Work! Love the Color too... Looks like a Midnight Purple
ALMOST FORGOT! THE DUST NIBBLERS WORK WELL TOO! Bought two next day after bought 3D 510 AND 400!
Love when people are masters of their craft and passionate about it. Great job man
Man, this is one of the best body work channels yet...Your presentation is clear and simple to understand 👊
Much appreciative. We try our best! More paint videos to come!
OMG, I can't dislike the video. My life will never be complete. Psyche, I never dislike a video.
Excellent guidance and content! Thank you for putting this out for us novices that wanna have a go at learning a new DIY skill. Appreciate it 👍
Thank you, sir. Appreciate you watching!
Thank you much sir!!! Always sketchy sanding shiny paint. Nice watching that you can get that shine back after sanding it dull.
You the best teacher thank you for teaching all the novice amateur out there. Keep doing what you do best keep uploading them new videos. Thanks infinity.
Thanks for talking through the finer points in such detail. Great video!
Sweet job man...looked fantastic!
It looks like a frigen mirror! Outstanding paint and finish Fred!!
Very nice finish, not an easy task with a rotary, so well done 👍
Excellent, looks fantastic, I'm glad I ran into your page. I'll be painting my 68 Impala soon so I'm going to have to look at more of your videos.
Beautiful job and very helpful advice, thank you!
Dude! I watched this the first time, and then I couldn't remember the name and couldn't find you, but I think you are really the man to listen to. I'm subscribing.
nice work. thanks for taking the time to explain the details as well.
Amazing. Love the custom color.
Great video, as an enthusiast I don’t think I’ll ever be confident enough in my skills to sand a panel with DA. Having never had a custom paint enjoyed the finish as “in between” - not as junky as what’s in my garage but not show quality 😂
That looks fantastic. I hope I can get ny finish like that. What a great job you have done. I have clear coat not blending. ☹ I'm using 3000 wet to try and cut it back.
Loved this. Subbed. Thanks for such an honest video. I'm into detailing and polishing over painting. But I will be watching more.
Thank you for fine advice, It has helped me a lot.
Great video detail .. Thank you for showing me the correct way .
Excellent presentation and communication skills!
Great job. I am impressed.
Nicely done!
Thanks! Excellent instruction and easy to follow.
Amazing thank you for a very detail tutorial!
0-10 seconds.... checking my garage for hidden cameras. lol. I got a great finish to be fair but the most incredible amount of dirt and dust you ever did see... after spraying everything down with water. Thanks for the vid
OUTSTANDING WORK!
Very professional! I have every intention of getting mine done right
Excellent vid. Very informative and honest. Thank you for sharing your "know-how".
Thanks for watching!
It's cool to know I actually could do some of this stuff in the garage, just need to know what to watch for. Thanks!
It's a beautifull thing to watch a master of a craft, whatever that might be :) Hats off
excellent, very informative, well played sir!
Fantastic job
Great video. Thanks for the lesson.
That looks good. Thanks for the video.
Nice work
Wow looks like a nice glass finish 😊 wish my Jag looked that good
Good video!!! Good job slowly explaining in detail the process of removing imprefections!! Thanks..
Glad it was helpful!
Great video Excellent work and very detailed explanation 👍
Perfect intro! Hit my situation right on! Really helped. Thanks.
😂
Thanks for tips nice job
I felt like i was buffing... this was perfectly explained 💯💪🏾
Fred you are very good at your craft , I really learned something today Thank You
Many thanks!
Also smart on knowing that you use wool pads like that with a rotary. Many make a mistake of using them with a DA long throw polisher not realizing they just arent designed to be effective with DA polishers. Nice to see another professional who put the time in learning and remembering it. I use a lot of 3D One with buff n shine urofiber 50/50 pads on my own vehicles that i have done a 2 step correction on in the past. Lately i have been using for my last step a polish by Carpro called Reflect, i swear its the best final polish/enhancement
One of my good buddies is amazing when it comes to painting. To give yourself a fighting chance doing it at home is make sure your gun and psi is set right. Use the right tip for what you're spraying. Wheather it be primer-sealers, color, or clear. Having 20 different paint guns for different things helps lol. Setting your gun and psi correctly are the most important things from what I'm told.
Yep, setting your gun has many aspects to it. Flow, Fan, PSI, and also adjusting the fan correctly to spray out right. All details are important.
When you make it look that EZ, you are a master.
Nice job brother !!!
Great video. Thanks for sharing
This is such a good video.
This was a well done video!
* * Does this work the same if I have 2K clear coat on the paint? It did not come shiny, just a little. I have 3 coats of clear coat, but I did not wet sand it, as I a afraid! * *
Great video
Cool video. I assume that noobs were lost at 1st but if they'd dipped into paint a bit, got a ton out of this. I liked it. When feeling paint: A guy, years ago asked me to feel the paint he was working on. It felt like satin.. He then took the plastic wrapper off his cigarette box and asked me to use it as a glove to "feel" the paint. I felt everything. Things I didn't before and couldn't see. If you haven't tried this, blow your own mind and try it. Cheers! Lee
Masterful
I just painted my sportster that exact color I’m looking forward to getting it to your level of glass finish
quality video! nice and informative. what a colour that is in the sun
3d products hands down the best !!
Thank you my dear brother for an informative video. I dont know what's Wrong removed a lot of paint not just the clear coat but the super coat also known as the second base coat, the first base coat and the primer exposing the metal.I felt I was using the wrong sander can you please tell me and others who are new to such work which sander to use for color sanding and how to properly use it
Within the first minute I felt personally attacked 😂 🤣
Spot on with the tip on brands of sand paper and thats weather you are buying sheets or disc, or coarse grits for body work, or fine grits for polishing. I learned a long time ago about cheap sand paper now i stick with Mirka, 3M, and Norton. For polishing clear I like using Mirka Galaxy 1000, then 2000grit, 5" disc, then use 3M trizact 3000 followed by 5000grit. I also polish with 3D brand compound and polish
Great video, The question I have is it possible to spray clearcoat without having to later sand it down and polish it to get that mirror like finish?
Thanks and nice work
I love the introduction that's almost exactly what happened I spray painting my car and I did it a little at a time I picked up the new product by Rust-Oleum it's a 5 in 1 spray can with five different spray nozzles. I'm extremely impressed with this can of paint I painted my car a little at a time on my lunch break at work probably all in total 10 different lunch breaks I do have a lot of orange peel and paint runs
Nice job
Super helpful!
Bro this video inspired me to DIY my ford laser car paint detailing To the original glossy finish 👌 superb stuff very informative thanks for sharing the step by step from sanding to polishing rare random video made my day Another subscription from srilanka❤
Fred That was the best tutorial on paint correction I, ve seen as a Newby to DA polishing (my mx5) I feel a little more confident with this video. PS did Sarah make a cameo appearance in your shop?
This guy is the best ive ever wow
Great video. Where are you guy's located?
Tucson, AZ USA
Yay! Lightning stuff!
Excellent presentation, I have always wanted to do my own paint job which I have done in my garage. The base and clear coat tuned out better than expected , your video made the job look like a pro job . Thank you!
This just made my day. Way to go man
Best video on this subject i have seen, thank you.
Thank you, Wayne!
great job and video
i would call myself a hobbyist detailer. just picked up an 04 mustang GT vert so decided to paint the hood scoop and trying to fix the clearcoat spots lifting. Well, hood scoop has a shit ton of orange peel and color looks great (wish it matched up with the color of the car , but what can you expect from a 20 year old OEM paint. I have watch a ton of vids on removing spots and OP and by far this video is the best I have come across. Great job! Sub'd as well and I tend not to do that unless the content and the delivery is top notch.
This was the video I was looking for. Thanks great stuff
Glad it was helpful!
Bad ass good work 👏
Great video. I guess I'll go for it hate the nibs and orange peel
Could you tell us pad systems for each step , there are so many to choose from
Great video but my question is what ambient temp is too high to compound and polish. The temp here in SW Florida is in the mid 90's and the metal of my truck is around 99 to 108 deg. F.
What color code is that is so freaking beautiful ❤
You mentioned not to use wax on fresh paint? How long do you need to wait before waxing? How long before I can use a ceramic or graphene coating? Personally I think it was perfect where you left it at the end without waxing to apply a graphene coating
Laughed out loud at the opening - you were talking DIRECTLY TO ME!!! Guilty as charged on all of it!
Very interested video bro you killed i like that way you doing this Iam really appreciate great great job
Dope video, great at explaining details that matter alot and dammmm that finish product 😎🤌🏼
Excellent tutorial! How many RPM's on sander?
good stuff
