@@Receptor91 yes, M2 G87 is ca 100-150kg heavier as M140/240 (F2x), also M2 has ‘only 550Nm’ but tuned M140/240 with ca 480hp do have ca 650Nm
570Nm was 996 Turbo levels of torque. 480hp was 997 Turbo levels of power. All this in a "non-Turbo" 911. [I'm talking about trim/version, not lack of a turbocharger]. Crazy.

nö, 312km/h und 318km/h du wohnst halt nicht in deutschland, auf der autobahn ist der 992 GT3 weiterhin schneller.
311km/h actually only, so the gt3 is about 7km/h faster.
@@lowwithknowhow2597 Yeah, that's the 'stated' book numbers, but I've also seen GTSs on the dyno pull more than 500HP, Porsche always understate the true numbers. Eitherway it's a quick 911, but maybe not as fast as my 3 on the track.

Do you not think the GTS is getting a bit too expensive #automann-tv? 2nd hand market was ok and I managed to get a 2017 GTS (991.2 RWD) which is 60% cheaper than retail price with still low milage. And WHAT a car you get for it, insane and smiles per miles is 10/10. Did a cheeky tune on mine so now its in the Turbo S territory but only spent 3-4k K. Happy days, except having to replace back tyres but I can live with that. Great channel!

Untill now i can't see what's the defference the OverBoost button can do And what it is for !!! I tried it on my 991.2 4s and it didn't improve my 100-200 km/h too . Can Any body explains what does it realy do !!

Thank you for making this video Automann. You have basically proven what I’ve always been saying, that in the real world conditions the 992 GTS is faster than a 992 GT3 and GT3 RS. 💪🏼 There’s a reason why Porsche never allow some of the mainstream KZhead channels a head to head drag race between the 992 GTS and 992 GT3. But if you know, you know which is faster. Mine also has the Aerokit and is RWD but is in Shark Blue colour. I’m heading to Germany from the UK next year, would be good to meet up and share some notes on our cars and take some pics of the beasts together. Maybe we could even film a run on the Autobahn together 👍🏼

First off, everyone knew that as a fact, it was never up for debate. All one has to do is to just look up 0-100/0-200 test results on google. Second, I'm not sure why you're comparing it with a GT3 or GT3 RS. That's like comparing a model S plaid with a GTS. 911 GTS is just a gentleman weekend driver's car, mostly aimed for highways and weekend mountain drives if they're more competent than usual. 911 GT3 or the GT3RS or the GT2 are track machines, barely legal for the road (and actually illegal for some countries, Korea for example will never allow the new GT3RS on the road due to rear wing regulations). Not to mention you're comparing a turbo vehicle against an NA. In the same way you'd raise an eyebrow if someone with a model S plaid was saying their car is much faster than your GTS, I have to wonder why you even care to compare your GTS against a GT3. That's like saying your Apple watch can take bluetooth phone calls unlike Rolexes. Sure, cool story... but I don't see the point. No offense. GTS should be compared against the turbo s, not GT3. I don't have either the GT3 or the GTS but just waiting for my 718 4.0 to come out next month, but that doesn't mean I shouldn't have an opinion. I'll end the comment by bragging that my car has ABS and ACC unlike the 911 Cup race cars, so my car is definitely superior.
Amazing cars, but silly money for one still, given you can get a similar condition 570 for the same price that would mop the floor with the GTS.

Klar hängt das davon ab wo man ist bzw. mit wem man zusammen kommt, aber es gab gerade vor 2-3 Jahren noch kritischere Äußerungen. Auch im Netz gibt es mMn viel positives Feedback😁🙏
bei einem Porsche ist das eher nicht der Fall. mit einem Lambo, Ferrari etc erntet man da schon eher schiefe Blicke und Kopfschütteln.
Da würde ich mir eher als Macan- oder Cayenne-Fahrer Sorgen machen. Aber der 911er als reinrassiger Sportwagen und Ikone des deutschen Automobilbaus sollte eigentlich keine großen Diskussionen hervorrufen, weil er im Vergleich zu diesen beiden Porsche-SUV-Modellen eher selten im allgemeinen Straßenbild anzutreffen ist (und vielleicht auch einen positiveren Status genießt).

Leaving off RAS is a performance destroyer. It makes a huge difference to corner speed if you have it as it gives you an extra degree of slip angle (in effect which is a big deal for corner Vmax). 100-200kmh is ~ 7s in the 991.2 GT3 RS in my view the best real world GT car yet built.
yeah the rear wheel steering is amazing, my family SAAB has it and you feel on rails on high speed curves
0_100 3.43 that is a world Record fot such a power ( less than 500 bhp) it s faster than the Carrera GT which has 610 bhp
Bitte kurzes Feedback, aus welchem Grund habt Ihr Euch für den C2 und nicht C4 entschieden - Ihr habt ja beide gefahren? Annahme als Daily, hat man mit dem C4 bessere Traktion, bei Regen etc.
Der C2 GTS fährt sich agiler und leichtfüßiger, die Traktion ist bei den 305ern eigentlich selten ein Problem. Wenns regnet fahren wir nicht😅….würde aber auch gut gehen.
Danke für die Antwort, da Ihr von beiden Tacho-videos habt, legt die dochmal nebeneinander. Verstehe Euren Ansatz mit Fokus auf Dynamik und Handling… der C4 GTS wird bei Nässe dem C2 bei Fahrstabilität wohl überlegen sein. 🙋♂️
@@Marv1385 allrad bei 911er ist für echte Auto Enthusiasisten absolut unnötig. Du hast in einem 911er so viel mechanischen grip, da du so viel Gewicht auf die Hinterachse drückst durch die Position des Motors und der Kraftverteilung von Porsche direkt. In Deutschland wirst du dieses Auto in der Regel an 350 Tagen von 365 Tagen viel viel besser bewegen können und mehr Spaß haben, als in der Allrad Version.

Had the chance to drive a GTS lately… this car absolutely smashes it for me, since it has the last bit of practicality… PS: never had the chance to drive Turbo/Turbo S…
Reckon this is better than a GT3/Touring if not going on track? I assume it is more comfortable and road compliant than a GT3. Maybe Porsche should have just put a detuned GT3 engine in the GTS 911 like they did with the 718... That would have been a cracking model.
For those who comment on sound, I put 200-cell sport cats on mine and sounds great! Its a great all around car for the money!

I find it a bit strange that the boost function did not make it faster. According to Porsche it should boost up both transmission and engine for 20 sec and give max acceleration. I drove a 992 carerra 2 last summer with this function and it gave it 20 more hp and you could feel the faster gearshifts and higher revs. I suspect difference in road conditions gave this result.
So, I had a 991.2 GT3 and then sold it after 3.5 years. Dealer couldn’t get me a 992 GT3 (not a good enough customer) so they got me a 992 GTS. Amazing car, but I never loved it, so I sold it after 1,500 miles. Still looking for a GT3. That said the GTS easily felt as fast as the GT3 and the mid range turbo torque was awesome. It is a great all around 911, but I love tracking my cars and the GT3 is the best.

It could wait less with the Lightweight-Bucket-Seats (918) and with PCCB so it´s not the lightest version of an 992 GTS
Been debating this for awhile, 992 rwd gts w/ aerokit or a 991.2 gt3. They both have the ability to be tuned but the gts has higher potential being a turbo engine but the gt3 is pretty much perfect out of the gate. Really tough decision for me.
gt3, it would keep its value better and would always feel much more special. However it is not a grrat daily driver and the tech in the vehicle is slightly older
Well whatever you pick will be awesome! I guess you should choose based on what you will be using the car for. I would pick the gt3.
@shazmaster it would be my 3rd car so no worries on the daily driver portion. I don't mind the older tech either as it is right on par with what I am currently used to. I am an analog person and rather have a few buttons then a touch screen with sub screens to filter through. Thanks for the feedback.
@revento5544 the car would be more of a weekend tourer with maybe a few track sessions a year. Currently I track my WRX STI and it gets my blood pumping, looking for that next step.

Beautiful cars but there’s so many configurations of the 911 I wouldn’t know what’s what. Fastest from 100kph to 200kph wouldn’t be a factor at all in my buying decision.

I think you tested the TTRS 6 years ago , was not too far from this recent GTS. Same time 0 to 100. One second difference to 200, and 1,5 to 250. With 4wd ... Audi ttrs is also 100k euro cheaper...

@@Reinundzufall yes , I agree with you , but 20seconds down in the Ring is not much considering all the problems you listed, 80 horse power less , 6-7 years oldest manufacturing and even older project. But it is 100k euro cheaper. Better in wet . Better in snow. There is more space for baggage (I could deliver very rapidly 0.5 cubic meters of packages!!) and there is space for skis inside !... I think a Porsche 992 should be much faster than a 6 years old TTRS , below 3 seconds to 100 at least. But this is just my opinion.
@@mircocollavo2503 Yes that’s indeed true, I’d have the RS3 2019 - the package for the price was an amazing thing like you said with the TTRS. It’s the typical Porsche pricing - you pay for the brand and the 911 itself. The GTS feels like a very expensive Carrera - with some more you would get in the range of a GT3 or Turbo S.
@@Reinundzufall In Australia, a 911 GTS can cost you around $430,000 new; the Audi TTRS (when you could buy them) was around $170,000 new. My RS3 was $100,000 new. The 911 isn't good value here, and I think I'd be sick to my stomach spending $500,000 + on a GT3. I do prefer driving my 911 over my old RS3.
@@beedoox5613 insane, woow ! And how about the taxes and insurance? Just out of curiosity Here in Germany it’s way cheaper. For a sports car like a 911 you have *yearly* taxes of around 300-500€ and insurance will be around 1200-1800€ a year - all depending a bit on your age a miles per year
