Red Flag (HongQi) Car: Pure Garbage! Blatant Copycats, Abysmal Quality Leads Owner to Smash It!

2023 ж. 13 Қаз.

This car has broken down 13 times, and parts have been replaced 10 times. The factory has no data at all. I'm so scared that I don't dare to drive this car. What's the use of it if you don't smash it?
Red Flag, historically China's emblem of automotive luxury and also President Xi's vehicle of choice, has faced scrutiny with its 2019 SUV model, the HS5. From transmission leaks to concerns with the engine, air conditioning, onboard computer, and continuous glitches in the Electronic Stability System (ETS), this model has been a hot topic. One particularly upset owner even went to the lengths of demolishing his car.

  • My brother-in-law is an electrical engineer working in the EV battery industry. He worked with Tesla's supplier for batteries and has been to China many times. It should be said, the Chinese are more than capable of doing quality work; they just don't want to. For them, anything that lasts "too long" is money left on the table. Give them a specification, and they will undercut it to put a few extra pennies in their pocket. For them, customers are something to be fleeced, not served.

China didn't bother introducing their ICE cars to Europe though. The MG 4 for instance sells nicely, it's the only electric station wagon on the market, and Europe is the #1 market for station wagons.

    • Of course they are a million miles behind the western world, Japan and Korea in terms of quality vehicles, but these established companies need to be on their guard. The British motorcycle industry was very dominant in most parts of the world until the Japanese crept up on it. The British companies knew about them but didn’t take any notice of this new „crap“ that was entering into the market. Look at the motorcycle industry now. Once the Chinese have the infrastructure to mass manufacture vehicles, they only need to poach key senior managers from the best car makers and they’ll be a serious threat.

  • The best defense against communist authoritarian dictatorship is to strengthen democracies from corrupting influences and nepotism. It takes an active and concerted effort of the people, to ensure that our democratically elected politicians are truly representing our interests. We must also address what hostile communist countries are doing, both domestically and abroad. Democratic Nations must stand together against their lawlessness in defense of global security, human rights, and enforce International Law.

It is made according to how Apple wants it. Just because it's assembled in India now doesn't mean much. it was assembled in China all along, ideally two countries not many people would have trust for for good quality products.
